Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 736: Frenzied Blood Assault

Yita's Mecha operation was smooth and effortless, capable of attack from a distance and defense up close. Her movements were even more standardized than those found in textbooks, flawless to the point of finding no weaknesses or openings. Such fine control was almost unreachable for any warrior, including the Revenge Shadow Rider. It was akin to the grasp of force and control over timing. You could say top pilots are strong, but it's a nuanced level of strength that's almost incomprehensible. They each have a mastery over force and timing control, able to perform various operations within a single second, a level ordinary people cannot reach. Moreover, they could perform such repetitive actions continuously, with very little error between each movement.

However, to Yita 13, all of the above still had flaws. Any progressive attempt at perfection in attacks was, to her, imperfect, and any errors were considered operational failures. Yita could execute each set of movements flawlessly, whether in terms of force or timing. Comparatively, the differences in skill were immediately obvious, and Yita did not make mistakes. Although her thought processes could change with her growing understanding of the world, they did not include commands for potential errors.

She believed, with firm conviction, that just by following the programmed defense against any potentially fatal strikes launched by the Revenge Shadow Rider, she would stand invincible, for humans have physical limits, and not even the Revenge Shadow Rider was an exception. Such physical limits might be extended for lengthy periods by top warriors, akin to how the flow of time slows near a black hole. No matter how much it is slowed, time still constantly changes.

Battle operates on the same principle, and furthermore, top-level combat, with its melee and consumption of physical strength, energy, and willpower, tests a person's endurance more than any other single sport. It's not like playing basketball or soccer; though they too are intensive physical sports with rest times. Of course, it's also different from sprinting, which, while strenuous, is transient. Two Mechas in combat fight for their lives, and under such circumstances, the emotional tension and mental focus transcend the sport itself, with performance factors causing the intensity to grow exponentially.

But Yita was different. She possessed almost infinite stamina and could fight continuously for a long time. Top warriors would usually consume high amounts of energy in ten to thirty minutes, perhaps an hour at most. Of course, there are records of humans fighting for a day or two, but most of that time is spent moving across the battlefield, not on physical exertion. Stamina is always mankind's greatest challenge, a fact determined early in the human evolutionary genetic code.

For instance, why do animals have claws and teeth while humans do not? Why can animals exert strong bite forces, but humans cannot? The fact is, humans simply chose a different direction in evolution: intelligence.

Intelligence is humanity's strength and also its tragedy. By creating the perfect being like Yita, humans provided her with understanding and judgment capabilities, as well as learning potential, not inferior to humans. What's more frightful, any knowledge she desired to learn didn't require the constant memorization or practice that humans need. She only needed to record the key points of actions, spatial angles, force management, and some complex inputs, and her body would carry out performances unattainable by anyone.

However, Yita did not take pride in such capabilities. She too had flaws, weaknesses, and things she didn't understand, like emotions. She gradually came to understand certain feelings, which developed as bonds over time, yet she was utterly perplexed by love and affection. In battle, she didn't quite grasp why she needed to continuously replicate the set of movements of the Revenge Shadow Rider. Even if she considered her hands, her database contained hundreds of instances of the Revenge Shadow Rider's initial moves, turns, swings, offensive strikes, and evasions. There was no difference between the Revenge Shadow Rider's movements and those of average people. Ultimately, she found the answer: because the Revenge Shadow Rider was special, an undefeated warrior whose daunting power had reached the pinnacle of humanity. In other words, if she could defeat the Revenge Shadow Rider in one-on-one combat, she essentially had the qualifications to defeat any warrior.

Currently, Yita 13 could unleash hand speeds of up to 1.5K, but that was not a sustained speed, only a temporary burst. Her sustained hand speed could reach 967 keys, an efficiency with which she could fight anyone. It's said that the efficiency of the Soaring Sword Dragon was merely between 800 and 900 keys, but Yita 13 could maintain her performance and even have explosive breakthroughs, making her efficiency fearsome.

Yet, the issue was that Yita's rapidly increasing hand speed had soared from 550 to 600 keys, then to 700, and finally reached 850 keys. Such high operational efficiency was rare in the world, but Yita was still being suppressed. She couldn't feel pain, but her sensory instruments were giving constant warnings, and her own swaying became increasingly violent. Her restraining defense did not succeed, and the offensive stance of the Revenge Shadow Rider intensified.

At that moment, the two of them had transformed into two streaks of lightning, continuously weaving back and forth, crisscrossing like two pillars of light, one black and one white. As time progressed, both of their movements abruptly slowed down, coming into clear view for all to see...
