Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 85 Establishment of the Club_1

Feng Yi has quickly become the center of attention. Although he's young, he displays an extraordinary skill and composure that even disciplinary committee members envy.

The members initially decided to suppress him, but now they are dumbfounded, contemplating their options. Who can take him on? Each member is either overweight, underweight, or entirely out of shape. And it seems that Feng Yi is the protagonist in the making, handling them like child's play. Wouldn't they just be knocked down one by one?

When the silence is broken by the disciplinary committee deciding to leave, a significant character has arrived on campus, and the crowd erupts!

Most of the guys are green with envy and disbelief of Feng Yi's showmanship. Whereas the girls can't help but long to throw themselves at him, cooing with puppy eyes – that could melt ice, all but ready to pounce.

Fortunately, people's rationality prevails. This is a public place, and everyone collectively chooses to watch quietly...

God! It was a 1vN showdown, and the many disciplinary committee members just decided to submit? But besides giving up, what else could they do? They've realized that the gap between them is simply too wide, and that continuing to challenge him would be nothing but humiliating.

Sheng Qiangwei, like a scared deer, nervously approached Feng Yi. This familiar friend suddenly felt strange to her. She avoided his wandering and scattered gaze, lightly biting her lip, and muttered softly: "Thank you..."

"The disciplinary committee's moves aren't too bad, just a bit weak—oh well, What was it you just said, Miss evasive?"

"I, I...You did that on purpose!" Seeing this laid-back guy putting on an insincere act, it made her feel a strange sense of comfort and reassurance. "Feng Yi, why are you here?"

"The world is so vast, where I decide to go is up to me. Surely you, our mighty school discipline enforcer, wouldn't deny me such simple freedom."

"Smart aleck! By the way, you...you jerk," Sheng Qiangwei suddenly blushed and hastily changed the topic. "Feng Yi, are you actually joining the martial arts club?" Knowing Feng Yi's strength, even among all the young people in the country, if not the world, it's difficult to find another martial arts practitioner like him.

"Hehe, it's only natural to lend a hand when it's needed. Just like that day."

"That day," that rainy day. Sheng Qiangwei sighed forlornly, "I see. So that's your plan." Feng Yi is a potential superstar. Many other clubs have already approached him. It's not necessary for him to stay in such a little corner of the school. After all, Wind Thunder is just a stepping stone for him.

"President, can I go back to the club now and sleep?"

"You said what...sleep?"

"Of course, isn't having naps the perk of being a club member?"

Sheng Qiangwei paused for a moment. He's still his old self, still the laid-back novice of the martial arts hall. Oh, him with his frankness, his love for liquor, his disregard for petty matters, as well as his habit of keeping up with news by reading all sorts of magazines.

Sheng Qiangwei burst into laughter, leaving the male students around astonished. They had never seen such a sparkling smile on the face of this icy beauty before.

"Can you spare some time for an interview for our club's newsletter? I'm the deputy editor..."

"Hey, look over there."

Everyone collectively looked toward where Feng Yi pointed, and within the next second, he had already disappeared into the crowd.

Feng Yi didn't want to attract excess attention. To avoid unnecessary disturbances, he utilized the skill of invisibility.

As he walked, Feng Yi kept his profile low. Whenever he noticed gaze from someone looking for him, he would conveniently turn around and avert their line of sight, sometimes skillfully maneuvering behind someone else, sometimes appearing on the other side of a shelter.

As a legendary combat skill, the 'Invisible Walk' incorporates optical refraction, environmental reflection, body movement, and even the use of the 'spiritual magnetic field' to induce perceptual illusions in others. The study involved is extensive, covering geometry, physics, and magic tricks. According to available information, no combatant in the federation has ever mastered this technique.

Feng Yi's swift departure made the martial arts club the center of attention. Sheng Qiangwei, not typically a talker, found herself stuttering for the first time, no one knew what was going on in her mind. Even the news club avoided her, afraid of her mocking.

Fortunately, the ever-tactful Elvis filled the void with his chatter, people only gradually leaving thereafter...

Organizing the martial arts club was a tall task. Sheng Qiangwei had her hands full arranging the clubroom and running errands. The two boys were left with cleaning duties. By midday, they've done nothing, instead opting to analyze Star Wars videos.

The room was filled with the adulation of the two boys: "75 cards per minute, Incredible, truly incredible, my brother, your understanding of Mech is just unmatched".

"Hahaha, I know a little, just a little. Your shooting accuracy is second to none. Even comparing you to professional pilots seems inadequate."

"Hahahaha..."

The two of them found instant camaraderie, laughing and joking to the point of near hysterics, completely forgetting the concept of time.

It wasn't until Sheng Qiangwei walked in that they realized their error. As a form of punishment, Sheng Qiangwei, the club president, declared that such misbehavior won't be pursued this time; still, she would dispense a severe punishment if it ever happened again.

Once the words came out of Sheng Qiangwei's mouth, the two were shocked into silence and quickly continued their work. Their previous bravado was gone, replaced by the look of a mouse being chased by a cat, much to Sheng Qiangwei's amusement.

Ten minutes before the gathering bells rang, someone knocked on the door of the martial arts club room.

Elvis, who was already dirty and messy, opened the door, startling the two girls who stood there. "Hehe, may I help you two pretty ladies?"

"We've come to sign up for the club," mumbled the emotionless lads in unison.

Only then did Elvis see clearly, that these sophisticated, identical twins wanted to join the martial arts club. He couldn't believe his luck.

"President, two gorgeous ladies are here to sign up."

"Let them in."
