Chapter 655: Feng Yi's Biggest Crisis_1

They had been saved. Seeing Feng Yi and the others filled them with an intense mixture of shock and joy – shock that Feng Yi had arrived, and not as an enemy, and joy arising from Feng Yi's PVP skills that could single-handedly take on all five Saudis even without the support of their own four super soldiers.

Feng Yi's voice caused them to hesitate. They were... familiar with this army general who stood with Mardis. Far from being unfamiliar, the Saudis knew him quite well. He was considered a Special Envoy of the Federation, having captured Vivian many times. His power was far from insignificant, and could even compete with the combined might of the five of them. Facing off against such a figure, along with the potential disadvantage of the four people standing behind him, they could find themselves at a loss.

However, why was Feng Yi here? This presented a new mystery. In a moment of clarity, they wondered if Feng Yi was really the army general? It wasn't difficult to speculate. Feng Yi had appeared in several operations conducted by the army and was rumored to be the Revenge Shadow Rider. Although there wasn't substantial evidence, his aura and style closely resembled that of the Revenge Shadow Rider.

Jiu Ling was quite surprised. Having fought against the Revenge Shadow Rider herself, she knew his voice only too well. Even though Feng Yi's manner of speaking was different, his aura was remarkably similar. However, not being a superpowered individual herself, her perception might not be acute enough to confirm. Still, her soldier's intuition and sixth sense never lied.

After exchanging glances, Xiuluo spoke. Among them, Xiuluo was the best single combat fighter. Even though he didn't show his powers often, and always had an impassive expression, it didn't mean that his strength was ordinary. On the contrary, he was very strong, perhaps even more so than Xia Mu. The reason he didn't attack right away was because he had complete confidence in himself – a confidence stemming from his very bones and soul. He was undoubtedly powerful. Upon seeing Feng Yi, Xiuluo recognized him, "You're Feng Yi, right?"

"Correct."

On hearing this, Xiuluo smirked maliciously, "I'm familiar with your capabilities. So, why are you here? Planning to take these people away?"

Feng Yi didn't need to justify his decision to rescue the Federation soldiers, nor did he need to answer Xiuluo's question. To question him was incredibly foolish. The reason was as simple as can be, clear enough even for a child to understand – he didn't need anyone's permission to take someone away. That was the power difference.

Perhaps Feng Yi was more considerate than most, so he finally responded, "Yes, I will take them and most certainly have the ability to defeat you all concurrently." At that moment, Feng Yi's eyes gleamed like lightning, his words firm and vibrant. There was a sense of overlooking all the others that spoke volumes about his dominance. Indeed, he was seizing control of the situation. This behavior was unlike the old Feng Yi, but now that he had chosen to adopt it, he certainly had the power to back it.

Xiuluo's mocking smile widened upon hearing that, "So, you're quite confident then." His smile suggested that Feng Yi's words were overlooked, adding, "How about we have a bet - to see if you are faster, or if our bullets are faster."

Feng Yi didn't take the bait, replying coldly, "Your wager is your own life. If you have come to terms with it, I don't object."

The exchange between the two seemed to be in perfect sync - one was intent on murder while the other claimed they could neutralize the threat even before the former attacked. The atmosphere at the scene suddenly turned cold, leading them into silence as neither was ready to back down.

Everyone present – Xia Mu, Jiu Ling, Silver Mary, Darkpeak, the Haier Brothers, Ophelia, and Muto, all broke out in a cold sweat because of the deadly stakes suggested by the two... Each of the five people on the opposing side had a gun in hand, whereas, on our side, only the Haier Brothers held a weapon each. Simply put, in a scenario of 2V5, there's no way we could have an advantage, even with Feng Yi's speed that was as swift as covering one's ears at the crack of a thunder; it was unlikely for him to dodge simultaneous attacks from three weapons.

Of course, given his speed, Feng Yi might be able to surpass the bullets. After all, one's power is proportional to their inherent strength – a person with battle power in the thousands could use their bone strength to withstand bullets, let alone someone of Feng Yi's status. But, a crucial factor should not be overlooked - turning. When you intercept the first bullet, you must turn to deflect the second and third bullets. It's hard to say if Mengdie could achieve that speed, but Feng Yi definitely could not.

However, there's another possibility known as the "Revenge theory". This theory, emphasized heavily by the Revenge Shadow Rider, involves instantaneous reaction prediction of your opponent's firing trajectory and accordingly adjusting and intercepting in mid-air. Either deflecting the opponent's bullet or altering its course requires a superhuman effort. An effort, besides the Revenge Shadow Rider, that is a rarity in today's world. There might be a few, but they are extremely scarce.

Interestingly enough, Feng Yi himself was rumored to be the Revenge Shadow Rider. It was just this very rumor that sparked a glimmer of hope in our side of the field. If Feng Yi was indeed the Revenge Shadow Rider, deflecting their attacks would not be difficult. Seeing him smile confidently, in apparent control of the situation, even the Saudi side was somewhat daunted.
