Chapter 617: Falling Snow 64 Style_1

Watching Feng Yi surrender so easily, Sheng Qiangwei was somehow annoyed. She stealthily stretched out her hand and pinched Feng Yi hard without a word.

For a moment, it seemed like the two women had reached some sort of consensus, joining forces to torment him. Feng Yi, unable to defend, could only quietly endure it, repeatedly pleading mercy out of the hostage situation…

Five minutes later, Sophia and Sheng Qiangwei happily ran off to the kitchen to prepare some delicious dishes, leaving Feng Yi alone by the window, engrossed in his thoughts…

Truthfully, Feng Yi wasn't in any mood to manage his love life. His emotions were largely negative. But dealing with these two girls, he had no choice but to keep his worries to himself.

To him, a man who had spent years in combat, the future was uncertain. Sheng Qiangwei was old enough to get married. But she kept waiting for him, years would pass before they would meet again. She had shown such faith that she hadn't even uttered a single complaint. Did he even have the right to get emotional?

As for Sophia, her casual use of teleportation revealed she didn't care about the value of a Space Crystal. But she kept the Space Crystal he gave her close to her. This was her genuine sentiment. When she saw him, she didn't express any dissatisfaction, any complaints. And when he played dumb, Sophia also just laughed it off, which made him utterly embarrassed.

If possible, Feng Yi hoped he could make some amends, even a little.

The delicious dishes had started arriving one after the other on the table... Perhaps because he was too engrossed in his thoughts, he was startled and hastily rubbed his hands together, betraying his impatience.

Sophia and Sheng Qiangwei exchanged a look, and sat on either side of Feng Yi. They stared intently as he wolfed down his food. Even Feng Yi, after eating a few bites, couldn't help but laugh awkwardly, "Let's eat together, why aren't you picking up your chopsticks?"

"Li Xiang, if you have something on your mind, don't keep it to yourself. We've noticed it a long time ago." said Sophia.

Feng Yi sighed lightly, "You must have had a long talk yesterday."

"Yes, we talked about you while playing yo-yo. What would you like to know, Mr. Feng?"

"Uh... Actually, I'm really sorry."

"About what?" Sheng Qiangwei asked.

"Sophia."

Sheng Qiangwei leaned closer and whispered in Feng Yi's ear, "Do you know why I like you? It started with your looks, then your talents, and your character. I know how remarkable you are, but I'm not interested in the so-called heroes. I chose you for the qualities you possess that other men don't. I believe you won't betray me. So, come find me after the war."

"But Sophia..."

Sheng Qiangwei looked at Sophia, and Sophia looked back at Sheng Qiangwei. They shared a knowing smile...

Now it was Sophia's turn to lean into Feng Yi's ear. A rare blush on her face, "Rekart is... It's a place where you're free to love. It doesn't matter how you feel about others. In front of me, as long as you're the same silly Li Xiang, I... I won't let you go." She was always calm and elegant, but it seemed hard for her to say this. She almost bit her lip as she finished speaking, looking exceptionally captivating.

Feng Yi was completely flustered. What kind of situation was this? Did that mean…

Just as he was wondering, Sheng Qiangwei carefully brought a spoonful of hot soup to his mouth, "Be a good boy and drink this first."

It seemed he would have to reciprocate with his own body. Sure, he couldn't refuse a woman's favor, so he had to drink the soup, even if it was poison.

Then it was Sophia's turn. She picked the largest rib and put it into Feng Yi's bowl. Even though her cooking wasn't the best, the dishes she made were Feng Yi's favorite. After all, she often made food for Feng Yi during their few months in Mardis.

One thing led to another, and poor Feng Yi ended up clearing the dishes in his plate till they were spotlessness. He almost wanted to cry, but had to force a smile and keep up appearances. It was a bitter-sweet sentiment, a mix of heaven and hell, a clash of contradictions.

Considering the unique circumstance, since they were back in Freedom Port Maraca, he decided to take these two out for a good time. That afternoon, Feng Yi unfairly became their pack mule, and to hide his identity on the journey, he even had to wear a large hat.

Being exceedingly beautiful, the two girls attracted a lot of attention. Not only did they draw the gaze of many onlookers, but by dusk, they had even been followed into a deserted alley by two thugs, who suggested that the ladies should accompany them for a walk.

"We're not interested, please move." Sophia said softly.

Being unfamiliar with this kind of situation, she faced the men who were not intending to leave seriously, rendering Feng Yi unsure whether to laugh or cry… "Let me handle this, you step back."

"Kid, what are you saying? I suggest you bugger off."

Realizing what was happening, Sophia shook her head silently. "Let me handle it, Li Xiang. You're carrying too much."

Sheng Qiangwei looked concerned. She was once an Ancient Martial Arts student, but her skills were now rusty.

"Hey, hey, are you sure about this?" Feng Yi wasn't sure what Sophia was capable of, but he knew she wasn't reckless. Despite asking the question, he was eager to see her strength.

Unexpectedly, the two thugs really approached Sophia, looking relaxed. In an instant, Sophia's countenance hardened. It was a level of seriousness that Feng Yi hadn't seen before on her face!

She nodded at Feng Yi acknowledging that she could handle it, and then, by shifting her foot back about 40 centimeters and positioning her hands in a strange combat stance, she defended herself. This was neither a military combat technique nor any combat stance that Feng Yi had ever seen.

The thugs looked at each other and, chuckling, approached her without a hint of apprehension.

"Are you really going to do this?" This was a final warning. But it fell on deaf ears. With a sigh, Sophia launched her attack: "Ancient Martial Arts, Falling Snow."

At this moment, Sophia tore away from her subdued demeanor, her lithe form seeming to transfigure into a swift swallow. Even Feng Yi couldn't keep up with her swift movements. Within a blink of an eye, Sophia was surrounded by these men and had circled around them. When she returned to her spot, the swaying men had already collapsed…

Feng Yi involuntarily caught his breath. He had seen her attack clearly this time. She had taken down the thugs within two seconds. Each of her strikes had landed accurately on weak areas such as the elbow, knee, abdomen, waist, ribs, spine, and armpits – delivering critical hits. Even he couldn't have judged these weaknesses so accurately. What was frightening, however, was that Sophia's strikes were not powerful – no more than a regular woman's punch. It was hard to believe that someone as gentle as Sophia could possess such skills.
