Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 586: Power_1

Am I up to this task? A voice so ice-cold and unrecognizable emerged, even a fool would understand what it meant to mess with Vladimir now, what a surefire way to sign one's own death warrant.

Despite the unfamiliar feeling resonating with everyone present, that doesn't mean the Federation found the voice anonymous too. Quite the contrary, recognizing it from somewhere, but unable to recall. Initially hesitant, the Federation's side was rapidly engulfed by mounting excitement!

Right, this voice could not be mistaken, it was the Revenge Shadow Rider, an unbeaten legend in the Virtual Network, and now, people were witnessing the astonishing sight of the Revenge Shadow Rider descending from the heavens, a genuine and dependable legend.

Seeing the Shadow Rider, Zhang Xiaobo burst into tears right on the spot. He wasn't going to die! He tried to stay strong, constantly and inevitably, but truth be told, Zhang Xiaobo was fragile deep down.

Upon witnessing this, Elvis released a hidden sigh of relief, the least they needed now was to take the stage themselves. They would rather become a burden to Revenge Shadow Rider. Of course, this only applied if the Revenge Shadow Rider were on the side of the Federation. Normally, wasn't this guy neutral?

All the major alliances caught off guard by the Revenge Shadow Rider. They had heard rumors about its infamous reputation, but that was mostly hearsay. Nobody ever bothered to research foreign soldiers, let alone their own pilots.

Hell's Gate had no idea how to react. The Silver Alliance didn't intend to intervene in the abrupt intervention of the Revenge Shadow Rider. Interfering with the conflict between the Federation and Hell's Gate was manageable, but meddling with the Revenge Shadow Rider would mean inviting big trouble. Even though it was just one individual, in certain terms, its threat had far exceeded any large-scale forces.

After all, forces were constrained by several factors, ranging from legality, regulations, to democratic systems, but not the Revenge Shadow Rider. It operated entirely outside the law.

Colonel Fisk who was in charge of security, received a call from the National Assembly. The Minister of Defense had asked him not to interact with this person, at least not until the Revenge Shadow Rider starts behaving inappropriately.

Fisk was confused, asked what inappropriate behavior meant, and was taken aback by the answer he received. Inappropriate behavior included public assaults on unrelated personnel, while ignoring players in the field. Nobody would dare challenge the authority of the Silver Alliance's Rekart today, except for the only Revenge Shadow Rider.

"Who is there?" It was Vladimir's voice. Vladimir had heard of the infamous Revenge Shadow Rider, but apparently didn't recognize it.

"Revenge Shadow Rider."

Its ice-cold voice, coupled with the murderous intent radiating from its core, led to a silence that left Vladimir stunned and the audience speechless...

Some people saw it as a devil, others as a beacon of faith. Initially, no one believed, but now, many federal soldiers started questioning if the Revenge Shadow Rider was actually a God. Humans were called Gods because they performed the impossible, and wasn't the arrival of Revenge Shadow Rider, evidence of its miracles?

Even Greedy Wolf, upon seeing Shadow Rider, involuntarily stood up. Normally, it was hard to unravel his emotions, apart from his cool demeanor. The office staff were startled when Greedy Wolf got up excitedly. Of course, Greedy Wolf didn't believe that the Revenge Shadow Rider was any God. He even doubted it could be Feng Yi, but the evidence showed no relation between them. Yet, it didn't matter. At least, this time, the Revenge Shadow Rider was on the side of the Federation.

Now, they could just hope for the best for the Revenge Shadow Rider. While the Revenge Shadow Rider was strong, its abilities drawn from the Virtual Network remained unpredictable enough to determine its effectiveness in actual combat. It was going up against the top-ranked Sena, the Heavenly Kings. Despite that, Greedy Wolf believed that given the Revenge Shadow Rider's nature, it held about a 50% chance of winning.

However, the Chairman at the other end of the Light Screen, Sena, was genuinely hard-pressed. If just expressing regret was all for show, then now he was really scared. Killing one Red Cloak was merely one Red Cloak, particularly as neither side seemed as friendly as they did on the surface, and whereas the implications of Vladimir were completely different. He even felt like asking Greedy Wolf for answers. What did Revenge Shadow Rider's arrival supposed to mean?

Hearing the self-introduction of the newcomer, the most excited person was Lily, she almost yelled: "Sis! It's Revenge Shadow Rider!" She knew her chance had arrived.

Reiko, on the other hand, indicated her to calm down, "He who comes not in goodwill means harm, the Revenge Shadow Rider won't be this simple."

Meanwhile, Raymond, who was still touching up his state, suddenly received the news. Revenge Shadow Rider had unexpectedly appeared at the Capital arena? Damn it! He must hurry. Without a second thought, Raymond almost nakedly rushed out of the room. Nothing was more efficient than observing Revenge Shadow Rider's battle up close. While many in the world didn't pay any attention to the Revenge Shadow Rider, some people took it particularly seriously, one of which was Raymond.

Raymond smiled, he was clear, if Vladimir's challenge can be considered unreasonable, then another unreasonable guy just logged in. He rushed into the arena, quietly found a seat at the back without saying much. He didn't want any disruptions at this time.

As for the arena, even Vladimir seemed more serious than before. His Mecha stepped back a few paces to establish a perfect offensive and defensive distance...

It might seem to an ordinary person that Vladimir was merely taken off guard and created a comfortably distant gap. But in all actuality, that was not the case. Staring at that intimidatingly cold body of Mecha, he inexplicably took a deep, cold breath. For some unknown reason, he had a feeling that staying too close would not work in his favor. This was a silent signal induced by his subconscious to his brain, and the pressure he endured at this moment was more intense than anyone in the field.

Indeed, Feng Yi's heart was getting colder, no longer yearning for battle. The desire might not have stopped, but it was deeply suppressed. As he started drawing his dark blade, Vladimir also launched an attack, and the Mecha turned into an afterimage, rushing forward instantly.

It was too fast, people could hardly capture Vladimir's movement. With a roar of the engine, the advancing Mecha suddenly halted mid-way, leaving behind a shockwave that stirred a gust of wind.

No weaknesses were found! People couldn't seem to find any flaws in the Revenge Shadow Rider! Its position looked casual, yet perfectly covered all the attack routes. Glancing at the mysterious weak point it exposed, Vladimir felt as if it was not a flaw at all, but a trap!
