Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 579 - Battlefield Hustle_1

"Want more details?" Feng Yi shrugged.

"Come, give your elder sister a kiss, be a good boy."

"Kiss my ass." Feng Yi was taken aback. He couldn't believe that Blade Warrior would suddenly say such a thing. Was she teasing him on purpose?

Blade Warrior made it clear that she was indeed messing with him, "Humph! Seems my charm isn't enough yet — just messing with you, I was free anyway, I'll go with you."

"Let me make it clear; I'm not going for a leisure trip."

"Psh, I've frequented the Death Planet, and I'm not afraid of Mardis. Lead the way." Blade Warrior gestured with her hands on her hips.

"You're not going to prepare anything?"

Right, preparation is necessary. So off went Blade Warrior to prepare.

After a long three-minute wait, Blade Warrior finally came out of her room with a large black bag. Upon opening, a medium-sized bag was found inside. The medium-sized bag may look medium, but it was only in comparison to the larger bag. To Feng Yi, this bag was as good as the large one.

Inside the medium bag was a smaller bag, and inside that, a tiny bag. The tiny bag contained a wallet, make-up bag, wireless earbud case, phone case; a bag within a bag, bag loops… Feng Yi cursed in surprise, wondering if he'd fallen into a nest of steamed buns with all these bags.

Finally, she took out a storage crystal from a spatial storage bag and handed over to Feng Yi a piece of unknown fibrous clothing that weighed around 5kg, "Here, this is your Implanted Mecha."

"How do I wear this?"

Feeling guilty, Blade Warrior replied, "Well, we're short on time. Let's head to Mardis first, and we can figure it out there."

Feng Yi agreed, and the two of them boarded Blade Warrior's space shuttle, successfully arriving at Mardis seven days later at dusk. His mood was inexplicably better with the fragrant scent of the surroundings.

Curious about the Implanted Armor, Feng Yi decided to try it on as soon as they got out of the shuttle. Despite only needing to be embedded into the surface layer of the skin, Feng Yi still felt a bit uneasy about wearing it.

The result was impressive. The device was anesthetized and designed according to human mechanics. It was also cleverly automatic in response to muscle movement. It didn't affect the core balance whether moving forward or backward and even had a flight function. However, the major flaw was that it consumed energy too quickly. It was inevitable as such a light device couldn't carry much energy.

Following an explosion, Feng Yi who was soaring freely like a bird was suddenly blasted away. Blade Warrior quickly covered her ears.

Luckily, the explosion was not powerful. Feng Yi got up from the ground, questioning glances at Blade Warrior. Was she sure she wasn't pranking him?

Understanding his question, Blade Warrior nodded and confessed, "That's why I said not to try it in the experimental base. If the airflow exceeds the load, it destabilizes the engine, and explosions can happen."

Shit. Feng Yi felt like he'd been tricked. Either way, his hopes weren't high for the Implanted Mecha, as it was too small and light, not suitable for long-term load. It was already impressive enough for it functioned as expected.

At this point, Feng Yi was not in a hurry to gather information, but to find a place to settle down. Improving his living environment was necessary under permissible conditions. He set up a tent near a place with beautiful mountains and rivers, which acted as a temporary camp for intercepting interstellar broadcasts. Feng Yi was confident that he would pick up any information from Alpha and Saudi, thanks to Eggy, who could quickly decode nearby signal sources.

As night fell, Blade Warrior, indifferent to Feng Yi's varying gaze, almost stripped, leaving only the basic armor.

"Hey, isn't this a bit too much? I am a man after all."

"What's the issue? If you want to look, just look. Of course, if you want to touch, I won't refuse."

Hell! She really said that. Feng Yi was surprised. "You really don't care?"

"Hmph, seen enough of young boys."

Honestly, Blade Warrior had a fabulous body that was highly captivating. Feng Yi was young, and it would be a lie to say he felt nothing. But what could he do? To maintain his manly image and uphold his principles, he decided to dispel the thought.

At 1 in the morning on their arrival at Mardis, Eggy intercepted a local armed conflict signal. The person wasn't a stranger to Feng Yi; it was Takla, a pilot who always skirted on the edge of life and death. Feng Yi once tried to recruit Takla into the Flame Legion, but was immediately rejected.

The intercepted message was about the Empire's plan to encircle and suppress Takla in the morning. Regardless of their chances of success, it's usually not advantageous for anyone who fights against Takla. Since he was there, Feng Yi didn't want to leave empty-handed.

But now, Feng Yi didn't want to reveal the news of the Revenge Shadow Rider's arrival at Mardis too early. It would alert Saudi and Bergheide. Therefore, he decided to act alone. Technically speaking, Feng Yi's personal combat ability was not weaker than a mecha, but stronger. Every time he thought about personal combat, he was troubled by an issue: he couldn't break through his limit. That was indeed troublesome.
