Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 65 The Real Desire in a Young Heart_1

The fight quickly drew the attention of the school authorities. The gaping hole in the wall caused many teachers and students to look on in disbelief. My God, what did the Discipline Committee do to the wall?

Feng Yi didn't take off. He might be blamed for damaging public property, and if he ran now, he'd be unable to clear his name.

Rebecca felt humiliated, as if she had been slapped hard in the face. The only thing she could do now was to get Angelina into the infirmary. This domino effect was caused by her brash leadership. This was the first time in the decade-long existence of the committee that someone had smashed their wall, and Rebecca had no idea how she would explain to Zi Mou.

Several headmasters came rushing over, followed by the Old Dean Weirbo. Upon receiving the news, Zi Mou too arrived promptly at the scene. When she saw Feng Yi, she posited an inaccurate hunch. Could it be Feng Yi who caused this mess? As the Discipline Committee president, she had an obligation to find out the root of the problem.

After a moment, Weirbo stepped forward and sternly asked, "Zi Mou, I'd like to hear your explanation."

"Dean, the situation was caused by members of the Discipline Committee. We will take full responsibility for all damages." Zi Mou summarized the situation.

"You guys really know how to make the school proud. Be more mindful in the future." The Dean coughed and set up a charge for Feng Yi of carelessly damaging the wall while signing up for combat testing. The committee began to disperse the crowd, and the situation calmed down to much less than what the build-up had suggested.

The school didn't intend to intervene in Feng Yi's issue. Considering the Discipline Committee also needed to save face, the school couldn't force them to do otherwise.

Zi Mou couldn't help but repeat Feng Yi's name. Feng Yi... Yifeng... Feng Yi? Yifeng!!! Knocking out Angelina in one hit was no simple matter. If this person and the Yifeng from the intelligence report were the same person, then Rebecca's hasty actions were adding fuel to fire.

Truth is, Zi Mou's stay in Wind Thunder wasn't as simple as it seemed. Long ago, the Texas family was independent with an ancestry from an unreachable land. They got tired of surviving the survival of the fittest and chose to build a new life in the federation, becoming legal citizens.

The Texas family held an influential position in the federation. Each year, they would use various methods to inject fresh blood into the Federation, selecting elites from different fields. As the young Master of the leading Alpha star family, Zi Mou had already been exposed to the mission and had gradually taken up the significant mission of her family.

Rather than calling Zi Mou's stay at Wind Thunder a responsibility, it was more like a necessary part of her life. After a year at the school, Zi Mou had originally planned to leave the position of Discipline committee president to Rebecca upon departure. However, she found that Rebecca was not as excellent as expected.

Zi Mou found Rebecca once more and handed her a file containing information about three noteworthy freshmen. She hoped Rebecca could successfully complete the test this time.

Inside the infirmary, Angelina woke up, opened her sleepy eyes, and looked around in confusion... where was she? After about half a minute, her murmuring voice echoed in the room: "Ow! Feng Yi, that bastard really packs a punch!" But then her mood shifted, and a charming smile spread across her face. He's actually quite intriguing, she thought to herself.

The rumors surrounding Feng Yi quickly spread throughout Wind Thunder, both on and off-campus. Everybody was discussing the Discipline Committee. The hole in the wall was no ordinary event. The new students weren't fools. Could they really believe official news? The question on everyone's lips was – who had smashed the Discipline Committee's wall?

Elvis was grinning like a Cheshire cat as he watched Star Wars and joined in on the bets, "Hey, did you hear the Discipline Committee's wall is leaking air?"

"I've heard something about it." Feng Yi responded casually. Everyone was making a big deal out of it, and the school even had to go as far as to gag these new students. But after an afternoon of such commotion, everyone began to guess whether they had overhyped the Discipline Committee?

Feng Yi looked at Elvis in surprise, "Bro, I thought you had no interest in Mecha, so why are you watching Star Wars?"

"Hobby, you know," Elvis grumbled, "Unfortunately, I'm not cut out for this kind of stuff. I can only watch."

"Actually, piloting a Mecha isn't as hard as one might think. Coordination and control are key," Feng Yi offered.

"Bah! Easier said than done. I think I'll stick to being a supply soldier." The thought of tomorrow's big training made Elvis deflate, "I've heard we have to climb ice and sleep in the snow. Basic training alone requires us to run at least three kilometers. My God, this is going to drive me crazy."

"Well, everyone has their own ambitions. Why did you choose to enlist, Brother Wes?"

"Enlisting has always been a dream of mine," Elvis said uncertainly, "Plus there's the life situation. Anyway, learning something new in the army isn't a bad idea. Soldiers who survive the battlefield will inevitably become officials when they return. I'm ready to risk it all!" His view of life as a soldier was clearly still in the romantic stage, having not yet fully transitioned from civilian to soldier.

Feng Yi clapped Elvis on the back, claiming he knew a little about the military himself, and would answer any questions Elvis had.

Elvis wasn't entirely convinced at first. But when they watched Star Wars together, he realized Feng Yi could determine the winner of a match with a single glance – he had to admit the guy knows his stuff. "Dude, you have to teach me how to operate a Mecha."

"What? You want to learn how to operate a Mecha?"

"Heh, operating a Mecha isn't as bad as I imagined. Just that my talent is limited."

It made sense. In this age of war, which spirited young man wouldn't dream of becoming a respected Red Cloak? Even if Elvis hadn't said anything, Feng Yi could guess what he liked by his excitement when watching Star Wars.

"Learning to operate a Mecha requires mastering Mecha knowledge from the ground up and understanding its performance. It's not as simple as just saying you want to learn."
