Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 535 Fugitive_1

Despite everyone knowing Feng Yi, most people only knew him from rumors and had not seen his actual appearance.

It was late autumn with high skies and light clouds. In the evening, as Feng Yi, dressed in black, was stepping on the fallen yellow leaves to attend the victory celebration in Gallia, he was abruptly bumped into by a drunk girl carelessly rushing towards him.

Looking at the gift boxes scattered on the ground, Barbara was furious. Without even sparing a glance at Feng Yi, she scolded sharply, "Are you blind? Get out of my way."

She was incredibly impolite. Obviously, she bumped into him, and he could not possibly know which backwater planet she might be from. Feng Yi took a deep look at her but decided to turn around and leave, not wanting to engage further.

However, Barbara cockily claimed: "I told you to clear off, not in that direction, but out there where you came from. You're not welcome in the Gallia Club."

Feng Yi scoffed, agitated by her remarks, "And what if I say no?"

"You say no?" Chewing over these words, Barbara looked at Feng Yi up and down with contempt... she let out a faint laugh, "Unfortunately, I'm not the one to be trifled with."

Two burly men took a step forward from behind her, "Do you leave on your own or do you want to be carried out?"

Feng Yi thought to himself, I am not afraid of gunshots and bullets at the battlefront, I certainly won't be intimidated by some woman. He shrugged in defiance, his actions implying that he wouldn't be bullied easily.

"Take him down." Barbara's eyes were frosty. As she spoke, she snapped her fingers. One of the burly men beside her threw a powerful punch towards Feng Yi's face, strong enough to shatter his nose bridge.

The other bodyguard leaped towards Feng Yi, aiming a swift kick at his chest.

Seeing this, Feng Yi was infuriated. He was a special envoy and a federal hero. He might be imperious, but he was no saint. He quickly turned and swept his leg back to retaliate...

The power behind his kick was certainly no less than the previous attacker, and his military boots let out a muffled thud as he sent the goons flying back! They collided with a wall in the distance before struggling weakly and eventually stopping altogether.

What...what just happened? These two were Rank 3 fighters with battle scores over 2000! How were they defeated by this random stranger? Barbara suddenly felt as though she had stepped into an alternate reality.

Regardless, today was her birthday. Who dares to cross her? Her father, Bu Jia, was a leading member of the Right Faction and a high-ranking senator. "Don't you dare move an inch," snapped Barbara, immediately contacting her father for assistance with Heavenly Communication, "I've been disrespected at the Gallia Club, send troops."

Feng Yi responded with a nod, smirking. Seems like the federal political scene isn't as pure as it seems, he thought. Well, I'll just contact my own troops and we'll see who's the last man standing.

By now, an even larger crowd was gathering, but as Feng Yi's back was to the oncoming crowd, no one got a glimpse of his face. Before long, dozens of men in black had surrounded the first floor of the Gallia Club.

The actions of the black-garbed bodyguards were very clear — they had their hands reaching into their coat pockets. Feng Yi had no doubt about what they were reaching for: guns!

Greedy Wolf was only too aware that this clash in the Capital Star Domain would not remain a secret for long. However, upon hearing the news, he couldn't help but display a smirk of schadenfreude.

The Right Faction, an old alliance of distinguished families, had been rooted in political circles for many years. Even though the federal government promoted equality, there were many areas the government dared not tread. Children from the Right Faction families were everywhere in federal politics. It was rumored that the Li Family's estate had a strict no-entry rule for ordinary people. Once, a thief broke into the premises and was caught. He was beaten to death on the spot, and the incident was downplayed and eventually dismissed. This incident fully demonstrated the oppressiveness of the Right Faction families.

However, not everyone in this peaceful nation was afraid of power. A couple recognized Feng Yi from the side and courageously stepped forward, "Who are you people? What do you want with our hero?"

"You should address Miss Barbara with respect." A black-dressed bodyguard stepped forward and slapped the boy twice. Feng Yi couldn't respond in time; he never expected that they would blatantly hit someone.

As he was processing the events, he heard a thunderous voice, "General, this is the deputy commander of the Blaze Corps, John, reporting for duty. Awaiting your instructions." By that point, the Gallia Club was stealthily surrounded by armed forces. Under the intimidating pressure of assault rifles, the black-suited bodyguards started to bead with sweat...

In fact, at the sound of 'general', even Barbara's heart jumped. The person standing in front of her appeared to be in his twenties, hardly someone who could be associated with a high-ranking military title.

Feng Yi's command was clear, "The one who just hit the boy, give him a thrashing."

On hearing Feng Yi's order, John spat on the ground and with a flying leap, he landed a massive slap on the black bodyguard's face. The attack was so sudden that the bodyguard couldn't dodge it. The blow was so strong that it spun him around on the spot... "Did that hurt? I guess I was a bit too rough. Sorry about that," John said with a half-hearted apology, and then followed up with a harsh kick landing on the man's face. The bodyguard was sent flying through the air like a sack of potatoes.

"Commander, how should we deal with these people?"

"Restrain them and take them away."

Barbara sneered, "In the Federal Capital, are you, as soldiers, going to abduct upon a mere say-so? Aren't you taking the law a bit too lightly? Or are you, with your numerical superiority, trying to intimidate law-abiding federal citizens like me?"

Barbara truly believed that no harm would come to her and assumed they were just pretending to be tough.

John laughed at her words. If Barbara's smile was arrogantly dismissive, his was disdainful. As a soldier, John would never strike an ordinary person, but if that person tried to harm the commander, he wouldn't hesitate to pull the trigger, regardless of their status. Do you know what kind of men make up the Blaze Corps? They are desperados to the core, whose madness comes from within.

Several clicks accompanied numerous resounding crackles, these were unmistakably the sounds of safety catches being disengaged. John, still smiling, was almost telling her silently, you can keep strutting around, it has nothing to do with me. But the moment you raise an eyebrow, you lose. Then you'll see whether I dare to shoot or not.

The cold sound of gun bolts being pulled back finally made Barbara turn pale. She suddenly realized that the people facing her weren't joking around. She perceived a serious threat to her life. What kind of terribly insane armed force was this? For the first time, Barbara backed down, "What...what do you want?"

"I don't like to repeat myself," John roared, "Move."
