Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 362: Desperate Fugitive_1

The Sprinting Thunder Offensive was unstoppable. Accompanied by the shattering of the Mirror Wall, Sword Dragon would directly face the oppressive Sprinting Thunder Kick.

"That move is..." Sword Dragon's pupils dramatically contracted and enlarged as if he had witnessed an unimaginable scene. The Sprinting Thunder Kick, a domineering attack, involved exploding with the full strength of one's body in a singular point. It demanded an extraordinarily resilient physiology from the user. He never expected his opponent to utilize such a terrifying attack. The question now was, who exactly was his adversary?

Too late, he couldn't dodge in time. The speed of the attack was too high to effectively evade. If he chose to counterattack, he would inevitably be at a disadvantage. With no time to reconsider, he raised his arm and transformed his hand as he prepared to dissuade the incoming blow using a softer approach.

The moment Sword Dragon's palm made contact, he felt as though he was up against an unbreakable iron lump. No matter what, he couldn't defy the forceful impression of the knee kick. Reactively, he curled his limbs and positioned himself defensively.

Boom...

A massive disturbance in the space appeared removed from Duolin's angle originating from the Sprinting Thunder Kick and the defense of the Mirror Wall. The damage didn't exceed the verdict, albeit, Sword Dragon's body was thrown away as if brutally hit by a military truck.

Before Feng Yi's attack landed, lightning crackled, Duolin's whip kick descended from the sky with a speed comparable to a bullet.

With a crisp sound, Feng Yi quickly raised his palm to block Duolin's whip kick in the nick of time. Even with a successful block, the impact from Duolin's whip kick left him slightly dizzy which was rather difficult for him to endure despite his strength.

Shaking his head swiftly and thereafter starting his counteroffensive, Feng Yi pulled back his fist and aimed to pack a punch at Duolin's boots.

If he managed to hit Duolin risked temporary numbness in her lower leg. Being a seasoned and superior expert, she wouldn't give him such an opportunity. As the saying goes, one's arm is no match against one's leg. She twisted her slender waist with a strength that forced her body to untangle herself from Feng Yi's clench, simply an physically inexplicable move, it demonstrated her extraordinary resilience.

Duolin was suspended in mid-air, seeing this, Feng Yi promptly spun around and launched a sharp mid-air kick. The vigorous force behind the kick was frightening enough to break several strands of steel by the whirl of air it carried.

Duolin felt a wave of shock. Despite seeming to be hit, her body, flexible as that of a cephalopod, ingeniously dodged the kick.

With the momentum of his spin, Feng Yi drew his military knife and swept with his iron arm in multiple 360-degree rotations. However, Duolin's resilience was outlandishly robust- superior even to his own. Despite being injured with a few cuts by the Whirlwind Slash, her life wasn't endangered.

Duolin landed swiftly and immediately hopped up again with an elegant and fluid leap. Her aerial knee strike was similar to a Sprinting Thunder Kick. Feng Yi was clear that her attack fell under the category of Ancient Martial Arts in Thai Boxing. The force generated could be soft or hard; hard implying a fearless approach while soft concocting numerous subsequent variations- a total embodiment of both tactics.

Exercising caution in delicate matters, Feng Yi didn't wish to venture, hence, he slightly tilted backward and comfortably evaded Duolin's attack.

As expected, Duolin's attack was a mere faint. At the same time she landed, her attack was adjusted. She chose to sweep Feng Yi's face with her military boots like a windmill- her ultimate move. Failure to dodge quick enough could lead to a lethal attack. At the same time, Sword Dragon's attack was in progress too. Despite being severely injured, he still relied on his adrenaline rush which numbed a significant section of his pain nerves for him to continue his attack. His broken arm was his biggest vulnerability, coalesced with the Sprinting Thunder Kick that contributed to a major portion of his damage. That was why Sword Dragon insisted on continuing his attack despite his injury. Duolin's overhead attack and Sword Dragon's lower-body assault gave off a deadly vibe as they coordinated their attacks against Feng Yi.

It was over. The two of them were so close together that a regular person could never evade them.

Suddenly, a mysterious blue light burst from Feng Yi's body and quickly spread to all directions. With a powerful gust of wind, both Duolin and Sword Dragon were blasted away by the Storm Stance.

This move was unheard of and unseen. Under the devastating power of the Storm Stance, in less than a second, countless tiny, almost invisible injuries manifested on their bodies as if they had been cut by a thousand knives. They hurriedly enhanced their defensive stances.

After a brief pause, they continued to suppress Feng Yi. At that moment, Feng Yi's eyes were bloodshot. He was determined to eliminate the injured Sword Dragon in this battle. He himself was injured too, which meant that if he let them go now, he would be dealing with two more formidable adversaries in the future.

Boom boom...Snap...

Amidst the rapid movements, three high-speed figures swiftly cross-through the temperate region of the Death Planet. The whistling winds were reminiscent of thunderous claps that never ceased. The arid wasteland was littered with evidence of their conflict.

A battle was escalating uncontrollably. Located in a highly polluted region, they had to combat not only the intense ultraviolet radiation but also scorching temperatures. Their physical stamina was bound to decrease over time.

Following 20 minutes of intense fighting, everyone was severely injured. Feng Yi and Sword Dragon were in the worst condition. Sword Dragon's hair flowed freely. His arm was completely useless and he had also developed a limp. Some of his ribs were broken and it was uncertain whether his organs were damaged.

Feng Yi didn't know how many times he had coughed up fresh blood. A deep wound had been carved into his abdomen and was continuously spewing blood. He didn't even have the time to stop the bleeding.

Duolin's condition was comparatively better. However, her upper body clothes were almost shattered, revealing a significant part of her black bra. Her beautiful eyes were focused intently on a panting Feng Yi.

They all gazed at each other. Their legs were slightly shaking, making their stances unstable. Their punches and kicks were no longer as powerful as they were initially. Each attack they made felt as if they were burdened by a colossal rock. But they all knew that they couldn't divert their attention even for a moment, for it meant losing critical judgment, yielding a chance for the opponent to launch a fierce surprise attack. Despite their stillness, the calm only added to the sense of a deadly hunt in the air.

Neither of them moved or communicated further. In fact, at this level of combat, excessive communication was simply a form of disguised compromise that was pointless.

Sword Dragon wasn't going to compromise. He was somewhat hoping for his opponent to leave. The path ahead was clear: to fight until his opponent left or until he left. He knew at this level, it would be impossible for him to keep his opponent from leaving. On the other hand, he was incapable of escaping himself. This was Sword Dragon's biggest challenge. Despite being two against one, the difference between victory and defeat often lay in a single thought.

As for Feng Yi, there was no chance of compromise. He could not find a reason to persuade himself. Regardless of Duolin and Sword Dragon's motives, their actions had thrashed his last straw, endangering his life. He was a soldier bred in an environment that fostered survival of the fittest. His primal instincts remained unchanged, some might call it the spirit of uninhibited freedom, while others might label him as a desperate outlaw.
