Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 349: This Snowy Night Isn't Too Cold_1

When Sheng Qiangwei saw the first few words of the message, she was both excited and thrilled. Civilian phone cards cannot transmit Star Domain Broadcasts, indicating that Feng Yi must be on Alpha's home soil when he sent her this message. The charm of a woman in love was becoming more prominent in her, unknowingly. Perhaps this was Sheng Qiangwei's true nature.

But when she finished reading the message, Sheng Qiangwei froze in her seat like she'd been electrified, suspecting it was a prank. Yet Feng Yi's last words about a secret between them could not be falsified. What was happening?

Sheng Qiangwei quickly redialed Feng Yi, but his number was out of service. That day, she made countless calls from afternoon to evening, her hands ached from typing so many text messages, yet she received no response...

True love is plain and simple, but has their relationship really reached that stage? They haven't yet crossed the proverbial line, which is what Sheng Qiangwei admired about Feng Yi.

Sheng Qiangwei was first impressed by Feng Yi's unexpected appearance, drawn in by his good looks and talent, and committed to his character. She knew underneath Feng Yi's courageous exterior was a responsible man. Despite his cold exterior and tolerance for solitude, she knew it was only a facade; a defense against revealing any weaknesses.

Sheng Qiangwei believed she had gradually opened the door to his closed heart. The lack of contact between them was due to the chaos of the times. This was not the Feng Yi she knew. Sheng Qiangwei believed that Feng Yi was hiding something from her, yet still cared about her.

As soon as class ended, Sheng Qiangwei rushed out of Wind Thunder and visited various communication stores, hoping to find clues related to Feng Yi. But her individual strength was weak. How could she find someone in the sea of millions?

Women can be peculiarly persistent. As Sheng Qiangwei expanded her search area, she ended up in the wild outskirts of the Shadow District. Her radiant face was covered in frost from the cold.

But she didn't stop looking for him. Alone in the extreme cold, she trudged through the snow that fell at temperatures below -30 degrees. After over two hours, Sheng Qiangwei, now fatigued, decided to rest for a while, sitting in the snow. Who knew what was going through her head?

Sheng Qiangwei had gone a long distance without realizing the approaching dangers. As night fell, if she didn't find shelter, it would be difficult for her to survive the frigid night.

After ten minutes of rest, when she tried to get up, her legs felt like lead. It was only then she realized just how far she had strayed. She thought she could continue for another couple of hours. If there was any trouble, she would call for help.

Disappointingly, Sheng Qiangwei discovered her phone had run out of power due to the freezing conditions just when she needed it.

Feng Yi found that women are indeed the most complicated creatures. One could say they're proud or headstrong, but sometimes they're more persistent than any man.

Observing her sitting in the snow, lost in thought, Feng Yi silently approached her: "You're a naughty student, going so far without a worry for your parents, aren't you?"

Upon hearing his voice, Sheng Qiangwei was startled. She almost couldn't believe what she was hearing. It must be an illusion, a comforting one. Sheng Qiangwei decided not to respond.

Seeing her sit there hugging her own knees, Feng Yi felt both amusement and concern. There was a real danger of freezing here.

Whoosh!

Suddenly, a frostproof tent appeared, covering a considerable area around Sheng Qiangwei. The cold gradually diminished. Over time, the frost around her was replaced by warmth and the snowy scene around her transformed into a cotton tent.

"Are you still alive?" Feng Yi asked, smiling at the sight of Sheng Qiangwei's back. He had never found her more adorable. Her stubbornness even frightened him.

As Sheng Qiangwei turned around, she found herself held in a warm embrace. It was Feng Yi's scent – no other man had a quarter of his magnificence.

Sheng Qiangwei looked up at his face. She loved the way his eyes met hers, how they held a certain understanding. He asked her, "Have you thought about how you'll get home?"

"Looking at the stars."

"Nonsense, there are no stars outside."

"Aren't you my little star?"

Stunned, Feng Yi realized he had fallen for her trick. Without saying a word, he leaned in to kiss Sheng Qiangwei, who rose on her tiptoes to meet his lips.

Feng Yi felt a sweet sensation sweep over their intertwined lips. But barely 5 seconds passed before a shot of pain surged through his tongue - she had bitten him. Sheng Qiangwei slowly opened her eyes, her cheek's pink, staring at Feng Yi for a few seconds before slowly letting go.

"Jerk, that's for picking on me. That's your punishment."

"Ehm, the punishment is... fair," Feng Yi said, raising his hands as if to surrender. He had underestimated Sheng Qiangwei; she was resourceful and stubborn.

"Hold me."

Like an obedient slave, Feng Yi complied. He hadn't expected she would go this far for him. It was a bit of a mess.

As they held each other, an untimely noise came from Sheng Qiangwei's stomach. Embarassed, she held her stomach and said, "It's all your fault."

The tent was still filling with cold wind. Feng Yi asked her to wait a moment, then he began to cook.
