Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 36 Betrayal in the Lineup_1

Feng Yi was ready to begin, but he swiftly withdrew his combat posture upon reconsidering. After all, there was no need to take his sparing sessions with these greenhouse flowers too seriously. He was a warrior, a warrior who had fought his way through a survival of the fittest environment. His understanding of fighting was essentially worlds apart from these greenhouse flowers.

"Why do you..."

"There is no why, if you're strong enough, force me to use my real strength."

Sheng Qiangwei knew Feng Yi was strong, but however strong he was, how much stronger could he get? Could he ascend to the heavens? She was aware that Milly was not a reckless person and must have her reasons for acting this way, but hearing these words, she couldn't help but be moved.

The flame of defiance deep in Emily's bones was suddenly ignited by Feng Yi. Regardless of what storm may come, she had to try. After several days of training, Emily had now brewed her combat emotions to a peak, and her mind was void of anything but her opponent.

Emily gave a soft cry and struck directly at Feng Yi's brow with her staff. This was the famous Universe Throwing from Ancient Martial Arts, a starting move that focuses power on one point in a fast, accurate, and fierce way.

The onlooking girls quickly covered their eyes upon seeing this, but they could still faintly see the events of the next moment through the gaps in their fingers. Needless to say, the boys' expressions were no better.

Ding...

What they saw was a result that left everyone astounded.

Blocking the attack, Feng Yi didn't use any weapons. His unmoved form easily dissolved Emily's attack with just one finger. The moment her weapon touched Feng Yi's finger, Emily distinctly felt as though she was hitting metal.

But it wasn't over. She abruptly withdrew her staff and changed it from a point to a sweep. She used a variety of endless staff techniques in her arsenal, the cold gleam of her staff crazily flickered amidst the void. Among the techniques she used were bashing, tapping, sweeping, and chopping.

Ding ding ding ding ding…

As expected, under the stunned gazes of hundreds of people, Emily's frantic onslaught hardly worked at all and was easily dissolved by Feng Yi's single hand.

The crowds were not the only ones agape at this point, even the cafeteria aunties had halted in their tracks, their attention fixated on the combatants.

Perhaps everyone had once thought Feng Yi to be an agile type martial artist, but what was happening right then was far more than just agility. His nerve response, bone hardness, and insight were all superior to Emily's—this was not a battle between equals.

No matter how greatly Emily's imagination could stretch, she couldn't have imagined that Feng Yi could even catch bullets when in battle mode, let alone resist this kind of kinetic force.

What terrified Emily the most was Feng Yi's terrifying insight.

During her attacks, Emily had made several feints. Any ordinary person would reflexively block when faced with imminent feints, however, Feng Yi remained motionless, only striking at the perfect timing.

This wasn't a mere difference in strength, it was a massive chasm that couldn't be bridged by ability alone. The old saying "a miss is as good as a mile" epitomized this disparity, making Emily somewhat despondent.

Moreover, the stamina she expended far exceeded Feng Yi's. Male and female physiques are naturally different, let alone when facing such a formidable adversary as Feng Yi? As a top warrior, stamina was fundamental. If this went on, she wouldn't even be able to graze his sweat before collapsing herself.

It is said that strength can pull off surprises. If there was any flaw in this invincible state, she probably had to brute force it. At this point, Emily could hardly care about keeping up appearances.

With this in mind, her beautiful eyes turned clear, her agile body tumbled backward like a flying swallow creating some distance, and with a shrill cry, she shot herself toward Feng Yi.

"Huff!" Emily's words had hardly dropped when her attack, filled with chilling power, was launched directly at Feng Yi.

Seeing this lass's guts, everyone was petrified! Even Feng Yi, battle-hardened as he was, was rendered speechless at her action. She was taking things too seriously. The power behind such a prepared attack was massive, only a fool would block it with a single finger.

However, in order to provide Emily with a lively combat lesson, Feng Yi did not plan to dodge.

"Ding…"

Accompanied by a long metallic echo, both movements came to a screeching halt upon contact!

He caught it. Feng Yi didn't step back half a step. He hardily absorbed Emily's attack, which contained all her strength. However, this time he used the scissors hand gesture, not a single finger.

Immediately after the initial contact, several crunching sounds followed, and the weapon crumbled piece by piece, eventually falling to the ground...

Emily was dumbfounded, as were Sheng Qiangwei and the surrounding disciples…Staring at the scene before them, they found it difficult to accept that Feng Yi was able to stop Emily's fierce attack with two fingers! Not only did he effortlessly neutralize Emily's long-accumulated attack, but he even cut off the weapon to avoid it hurting Emily due to inertia.

In fact, rather than that, everyone hadn't even imagined that Feng Yi could be so terrifyingly strong!

Many girls' eyes turned heart-shaped. Feng Yi was not only handsome but also incredibly strong - truly the hidden master of the Martial Arts Hall.

Emily was about to speak with a step forward, but Feng Yi raised his hand to stop her: "Stop fighting. You're still far from it. Practice more."

Her cheeks suddenly blushed on hearing his words...

Milly only challenged Feng Yi today to test him, and she almost wanted to ask him to take her on as a disciple. However, Feng Yi's advice froze her words on her lips, and she felt too embarrassed to persist in front of everybody.

At this moment, Sheng Qiangwei was slightly overwhelmed, although she hid it well and continued to observe Feng Yi with sharp eyes, ready to tear him apart.

The crowd encircled Feng Yi, and some self-assumed attractive girls even tried to flirt with him discreetly, only to find that the quicker girls had already approached him first, initiating conversations about the fight.

The transformation in Feng Yi's attitude was enormous. He deflected everyone's enthusiasm skillfully and appeared calm and collected. However, even Sir Feng was eventually overwhelmed and he disappeared, leaving everyone staring at the spot where he used to be.

"Milly, you…" Sheng Qiangwei, with mixed emotions, approached her. She wanted to comfort Emily, but Emily seemed to have anticipated the result and did not appear too downhearted.

"Weiwei, you saw his strength, what do you think?"

"I have to admit, I was a bit shocked by that guy's strength."

"Hehe, it's not just a bit shocking, is it?"

Sheng Qiangwei, twisting her pretty face reluctantly, replied, "Well, I guess you're right. He does seem incredibly powerful."

"So, I think if there's something I don't understand, I can ask him for guidance."

"What? Ask him!"

"Of course."

"Milly, are you crazy? How can you seek advice from that sort of person?"

"What kind of person is he?"

Sheng Qiangwei was left speechless by Emily's retort. In reality, she simply did not want to admit it in front of Milly. She had a good feeling about Feng Yi herself. After some thought, she abruptly changed the topic: "Traitor, Milly, how can you so easily join the enemy's side?"
