Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 264 You Did it on Purpose_1

Clank, clank, clank... The blade sliced through all obstacles, Storm Stance whirling a full 360 degrees in the air before landing firmly back in Feng Yi's hand. He continued to lay relentless pressure on Gomez, not allowing him any breathing room.

At this point, both of them were visibly injured to varying extents, their clothes torn and tattered from the previous fights.

Gomez's solo Body Technique was remarkable. Despite his arm being split into two segments, he was still able to fiercely grapple with Feng Yi. His attacks were ruthless, each move aimed for vital points. Eye gouging and ear gouging were among his countless tricks. In the end, he thrust his knee directly toward Feng Yi's crotch.

Feng Yi lifted his leg to block the incoming attack. During their rapid kicks, the reverberations echoed continuously... Gomez's bone density was apparently inferior to Feng Yi, who was accustomed to eight times gravity. Sensing this change, Gomez decided not to continue head-to-head combat and quietly pulled out a small dagger from his crotch, slashing it stealthily toward Feng Yi's throat.

Such unpredictable attacks were hard to judge. Feng Yi discerned his intent through a glimmer of light reflecting off the blade. In the nick of time, he snapped his hand to catch Gomez's wrist. At the same time, his arm holding the military knife was also grabbed by Gomez.

Both their movements stopped simultaneously. The transition from extreme motion to extreme stillness happened instantly. With two explosive panting noises, a whirlwind appeared around their bodies, the ground beneath their feet instantly sunk into a depression, and their surroundings were illuminated with a hazy glow.

The white light around Gomez contrasted sharply with the dark blue light radiating from Feng Yi, manifested their solidified combat stances. Their confidence was evident as the ground erupted in a spray of rocks.

With a splash, both of their knees abruptly sunk into the ground.

Feng Yi suddenly realized something was off. His arm had been locked in a vice-like grip by Gomez. This was not typical strength for Gomez. Could it be...

Damn it, he thought, abruptly releasing Gomez's arm and jumping up. With a swift rotation of his knee joint, he tried to wrench Gomez's arm off his body.

Was Gomez oblivious to the danger of this leverage effect? He hurriedly let go, raising his arm to block while pivoting to throw a punch, the wind from his iron-like fist whistling frostily.

Feng Yi deftly flipped in mid-air to dodge the attack, then swept Gomez's feet out from under him just as he was turning, taking advantage of his agility. Caught off guard, Gomez felt a numbness in his feet and lost his balance, as if he had been kicked off the ground.

Before Gomez could fall, he received two quick elbow strikes from Feng Yi...

Crack! Accompanied by the sound of breaking bones, Gomez was slammed against a wall, blood spattering from his mouth.

As Feng Yi stood, he stomped on the ground, and the military knife, as if recognizing its master, flew off the ground and into his hand. Like lightning, he charged toward Gomez's heart, covering 30 meters...20 meters... 10 meters... He was getting close.

Just then, Gomez's eyes suddenly brightened. A horrifying aura of pressure, like a tangible wall, stopped Feng Yi from advancing any further. Then, Feng Yi's body was blown away by a tremendous counter-force, smashing into a wall three stories high in the distance.

The counter-attack seemed to have drained Gomez of his strength.

When Feng Yi emerged from the dust, his face and clothes were covered in gray, blending perfectly with the gray and white of his tattered clothes.

So, that was... Gomez's combat stance had a reflecting property. No wonder he had used that strike from afar during the aerial combat.

As Feng Yi prepared to launch another attack, he realized with a sinking feeling that Gomez was about to harm the innocent bystanders. He was even a little angry. He couldn't believe they were still watching the fight from afar. Didn't they know the serious danger they were in?

Gomez had exhausted himself with this move, he was clearly at a disadvantage in terms of stamina. Although Feng Yi was also greatly fatigued, he could still hold out for a while. However, Gomez's face was pallid. The problem was that Feng Yi couldn't keep up with Gomez's movements anymore.

What could he do? Feng Yi didn't have much time to think. He didn't want Gomez to take hostages to threaten him. In a split second, he threw his military knife without a thought.

"Damn, it's still too late," Feng Yi murmured, rushing forward. Before he could get halfway, he came to an abrupt stop. Everyone's eyes were now eagerly watching Gomez...

Although Feng Yi's hasty throw had gone astray, it had effectively stopped Gomez's advance. Because what happened next was a sight to behold...

The military knife had not only pierced through Gomez's pants but also pinned his boot to the ground. Addition to that, Gomez's shirt had been torn open in the previous fight. In the midst of charging forward, Gomez suddenly found himself standing naked in a crowd, exposed for all to see.

"What... What's this?" Gomez's eyes bulged as his forehead pulsed with veins, his face contorting in a hideous snarl. He forgot about his intent to kidnap, he forgot everything. All he could think of was his anger towards the man in black. His malevolence couldn't be quelled even if he were to devour the man right then and there. "You did that on purpose!"

Feng Yi raised his hands in a gesture of innocence, a puzzled expression on his face.

"I swear," Gomez roared, the entire square echoing with his thunderous voice, "was this intentional?"

The fight was one thing, but Feng Yi would never stoop that low. "No, I didn't mean to."

"Damn you! You did it on purpose! I won't forgive you!" Gomez's words were cut off as he spat out a mouthful of old blood.

"Please...hear me out, I really..." Feng Yi raised his hand, subconsciously making a gesture asking for a moment to explain.

The crowd surrounding the square was sizable. The place was as silent as a graveyard, people seeming unable to process the scene before their eyes. Only after a few seconds did the plaza erupt into peals of raucous laughter....

The Intelligence Officers, with their view from the Sky Eye, were flushed even though they were used to watching countless beautiful women. These cameramen knew why the black-suited warrior did what he did. He wanted to stop Gomez from attacking, but now this incident made it clear that Gomez was really asking for it.

But to be honest, Feng Yi didn't do it on purpose. The incident had greatly disturbed Gomez, the head of one side. He had lost all decorum, alternating between crying and laughing. He ran bare-chested, fangs and claws bared toward Feng Yi, frantic and without any strategy.

In the end, Feng Yi just shook his head, didn't bother to explain, retrieved his military knife, ignored Gomez, and vanished into the city.

As he moved between buildings, it wasn't until Eggy confirmed that he had escaped from the Sky Eye's sight that Feng Yi finally took a breath of fresh air under a fragrant, grass-covered bridge head. His clothes were already soaked with fresh blood...
