Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 206 Task Assignment_1

Feng Yi was still unaware of the huge stir outside, the incident triggered by the Scorpio Organization shook the entire Federation. Once the images were released, there was no concealing them. Despite the government's attempt to shut down major video platforms and public software, the effect was minimal.

Apart from the Scorpio Organization, the Black-clad Warrior has become a hot search trend on the internet. Who was that person? Does our Federal Country also possess such a stalwart warrior? Despite the mask on his face, he didn't appear to be very old.

Ultimately, no matter who he was or what his identity, age, or gender was, none of this changed the fact that he protected people. The public wasn't interested in political matters; they trusted only what they could see with their own eyes. What was seen was the only reality.

In fact, the moment Feng Yi fell, no one removed his mask. That was the Military Department's strict order. On the surface, it was out of respect for the warrior. But in reality, possessing his strong combat capabilities was a significant national asset. The military brass were not ignorant of Feng Yi's background. They definitely had to keep those details classified.

In the Solar System's Earth Asia Zone, within the Eden President's office, President Adams had a difficult time as he read through the reports on this incident.

The public was calling for an official response right now. They were concerned about two things, the progress of the Scorpio Organization case and the identity and current health status of the Black-clad Warrior. These were the topics that everyone cared about most.

As long as the Scorpio Organization was captured, this public sentiment matter could be handled.

The question on the table was how to deal with Feng Yi. Without him, the Scorpio event wouldn't have been concluded so easily.

Being a child brought up by Professor Lasso, Adams didn't want to break Feng Yi's existing life pattern. More than that, he hoped Feng Yi could grow slowly.

If possible, Adams would very much like to play down the matter, but the public wouldn't allow it. He gave a wry smile and shook his head, finally turning his attention to Christod.

Christod graduated from the Yingland Royal Military Academy. At 28, he made it to rank 75 of the renown generals list without ever commanding even a large-scale battle. He had thrice faced space pirates and emerged victorious each time. So why did this 40-year-old major find his place on the list of renown generals? Even with such insignificant battles against space pirates, perhaps anyone could successfully lead.

The reason was simple. Christod rose to prominence not because of the space pirates. He had a habit of putting himself in the position of famous generals from war-torn countries to think about the overall battle and then recording the results on the computer before deleting them.

As a result of this, his predicted scenario of the battlefield in consecutive twelve war-game simulations, even down to casualty ratios, were extremely close to the actual numbers. This was the outcome that Noah revealed during an open review of renowned generals.

Adams chuckled and asked Christod, "What do you think we should do?"

"I think you know better than I do. I don't know," responded Christod, feigning indifference. Sometimes, it's best not to voice certain thoughts.

Helpless, Adams shrugged. Actually, both of them had their minds made up. It was reasonable to give Feng Yi a medal of high honor, but that medal didn't suit Feng Yi, or rather, it didn't really suit the current direction of the battlefield.

Outwardly, the Saudi Federation was embroiled in war due to resource conflicts, but the truth was far from simple. Due to differing standpoints and the ensuing economic domino effect, the nearby major star regions were also on the brink of war. If the balance of the Saudi Federation were broken, the adjacent powers would also be dragged into this interest war.

The Sky Eagle Fleet that was aiding Lipton star had slowly gained the upper hand. However, reports indicated the direction of the Big Macs conflict was still grim. Thankfully, both sides considered Lipton star as a strategic planet and as a result, the Big Macs battlefield was not heated.

It was like a tacit tug of war where both sides were careful and reserved in their attacks. While neither side had gained an advantage, they also hadn't suffered much.

The bad news was the shortage of military supplies. They had ammunition but little food. In this state, it was feared that they could not hold out for more than a month. As a pivot, the Alpha Military Department had to quickly send transport personnel to the Big Macs.

Even though Feng Yi had a logistics background, he didn't expect he would be chosen to deliver these supplies.

In fact, this was a decision Wind Thunder made due to Yingland's constant pressing. Regardless, the direction of the business conflict was still under control. As long as they could stall for time, there'd be nothing Yingland could do even if they insisted on having a personnel.

However, once on the battlefield, Feng Yi would truly be reorganized out of Wind Thunder's formation, but Weirbo didn't care. He would never give up the talented individual his side had cultivated to Yingland.

Not long after Feng Yi woke up, Lei received a Heavenly Communication that left him feeling both funny and annoyed.

Anyway, he didn't have the energy to worry so much about it. The first thing he wanted to find out after waking up was about the casualties in the Shadow District. The numbers reported by Eggy were staggering. In the carnage caused by Scorpio, less than twenty percent of the refugees were successfully saved. Eggy specially informed Feng Yi that a girl named Guo Guo was on the survivors' list.

This news made Feng Yi's gloomy eyes suddenly brighten. He reached out and grabbed Eggy, seeking to confirm Guo Guo's identity like a lifeline.

Eggy's answer was that because her mother had protected her with her body and Guo Guo was not injured at vital locations, she only fainted due to excessive blood loss. Luckily, the medical personnel arrived in time, and Guo Guo was now at Alpha Rescue Center.

It was delightful news that Feng Yi hadn't expected. It was like a gift from the heavens and the greatest consolation for him. But the Rescue Center was too far from the Shadow District, so the best he could do was silently wish Guo Guo happiness from afar.

Perhaps it was because of the impulsiveness at the time, he hadn't thought too much and simply rushed headlong into fighting the Scorpio Organization. In retrospect, if he hadn't fought so desperately, there might have been another way to stop Scorpio.

However, when Feng Yi asked Eggy about Monroe, Eggy said he didn't know either. After Monroe was secretly taken away, there was no more news about him. He was probably undergoing some sort of special replication.

As promised, Feng Yi fulfilled his part. He generously bought a Virtual Combat Machine and a storage capsule for his dinosaur pet. The capsule provided just enough space for the Virtual Combat Machine. He could have fun with it however it wanted to afterwards.

When he paid the bills, Feng Yi found his wallet was now empty. The leftover money was just enough for a full meal. To quickly replenish body functions, a hearty meal was far more beneficial than the nutritional fluids from the hospital.
