Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 203: Life and Death Hunt_1

The Snow Ridge of Gelzhou, located in the cold temperate zone, is a natural reserve area in Alpha, with clear cold winters and cool summers. The serenity here, far out skirting the Ulan Griffin Range, is suddenly shattered by the influx of Mecha clusters.

Thirty kilometers in the rear, a warrior garbed in drenched black clothing is continuously advancing towards the Mecha clusters. He gasps heavily, his eyelashes and hair turned a grayish white color from the humid air he exhaled, his entire outfit drenched, but his tenacious expression has never wavered. From time to time, he would open the radar to share coordinate locations and summon Sky Eye. Now, four armed forces are rapidly heading towards the Ridge of the North Wind.

Watching the light points on the scanner getting closer and closer, Monroe's gaze flickered uncertainly. Didn't this idiot value his life at all?

Monroe stopped running. He was spent, his arms that maneuvered the Mecha felt like they were filled with lead. To continue would mean to risk spilling the remnants of his dinner. During this thirty-minute pursuit, the forces following the Federation might already not be far from the cluster.

In reality, Monroe was not fearful of Feng Yi, but wary of being slowing down. He now even somewhat regretted not bringing laser weapons, otherwise, this black-clothed person would not have escaped. "Bella, Card, Gail, you three can deal with him together."

The trio was taken aback. Gail was the single-soldier champion in the underground world with unbeatable close combat skills.

Card was of Saudi nationality, he was in fact, a Saudi pawn within the federation, a rather mysterious powerhouse. Although he looked like a gentleman, countless Revenants had fallen under his slim card.

Several minutes later, a battle thus commenced.

Fully armed, Gail charged head-on at Feng Yi with the agility of a war vehicle. Making two leaps to close in, he gathered his strength and launched a flying kick. This quick, accurate, and ruthless combined attack was too dominant. How powerful must one's intuition be to instantly react?

Feng Yi swept his gunstock, Bang!

The recoil sent both of them reeling back a few steps. At this very moment, a piece of paper shot out from behind Feng Yi's neck. The ambush from Card was too sudden. Weakened Feng Yi's body seemed to have become slower. He hastily twisted his head to evade, but his neck still got a scratch. Fortunately, it wasn't an artery.

After looking left and right, a cold-eyed Feng Yi suddenly threw away his 11th Gatling gun, seemingly eager for a duel with the two. Before the weapon even hit the ground, he kicked the gun towards Card's position in mid-air. Feng Yi followed the trajectory of the gun. Considering the pros and cons, he believed this tricky guy posed the greatest threat to him.

To his surprise, Card was not slow. He jumped back and hid amongst the reeds.

Would Feng Yi really give him this opportunity? He immediately used a Z-type maneuver to avoid Gail's position and disappeared into the reeds as Card had done.

"You wish to escape? Not so easy."

Feng Yi didn't give Card a chance, and Gail also wouldn't give Feng Yi an opportunity. He rushed towards the reeds, but what he was met with was a precise bullet from the Revenant 2000.

"Damn it!" Upon hearing the sound of bullets cutting through the air, Gail realized he had been tricked. He took a swift sidestep, barely avoiding the bullet, but when he turned around again, the two had already vanished.

It was eerily quiet, as if the two had suddenly disappeared from the world. The only remaining person took out his automatic handgun stealthily—It was Gail.

In this battle of wits, both sides were playings the roles of the hunter and the hunted. Any negligence could put them in the brink of no return.

With little remaining energy and facing two masters, Feng Yi was in an awkward situation. He hid in the reeds, his heavy panting suppressed to the minimum. He pressed his ears close to the ground, trying to pick up any sound.

But Feng Yi's efforts were in vain, as his opponent was a seasoned soldier, leaving no trace with his silent steps.

Feng Yi flicked a small rock. Before it even hit the ground, a gunshot could be heard from seventy meters away. How agile must one's intuition be to react instantaneously?

His position was exposed! As Gail rushed to open fire, he was suddenly attacked by a surprise shot from the Revenant 2000. Gail retaliated with three shots towards the source of the bullet but failed. After firing a shot, Feng Yi quickly retreated. With the sound of rustling on the ground, he weighed his options to win while staying alert for an ambush from Card.

The noise from the reeds only served to expose his location, Gail didn't hesitate to attack the sound's origin.

Whoo...

Feng Yi suddenly jumped out from the reeds, clutching his bleeding neck wound, as he was hit in the stomach by a bullet from Gail's gun. The force slammed Feng Yi back against a pine tree.

Gail spat contemptuously, "Hmph, and we even needed the three of us to deal with this lack of strength."

"Well, we clearly overestimated him. It looks like there's no need for me to participate." As the voice sounded, a beautiful woman who appeared to be in her early twenties approached from a distance, accompanied by Card.

Feng Yi looked on in confusion, coughing up blood, he asked, "How could individuals as powerful as you possibly exist in Alpha?"

"Quite surprising, isn't it?" responded Gail.

"Let's finish him off. There's no need for useless banter, we don't have much time left," the gentleman spoke as he casually brushed off dust from his clothes. The trio looked at Feng Yi, their expressions filled with amusement.

"Wait! At least tell me what's the purpose behind your massacre at the slum district. Was it just senseless killing?"

"Knowing or not, what difference would it make? Let me clarify for you, Lord Monroe has far-reaching plans, and we very much enjoy the bonus killings on the side." Bella smirked, acting alluring. "Time to send you off, bro."

"Damn it! Have you ever considered your own way out?" Outrage surged within Feng Yi.

The trio shrugged nonchalantly. Bella chimed in, "That's an excuse only losers would use. Please feel free to complain to God about us."

"Is that so?"

Just as the words left Feng Yi's mouth, he struck forward like a bolt of lightning, hitting Card with a knee strike that was as forceful as a hammer, sinking his chest in. Card's bulging eyes were filled with disbelief.

Before the remaining two could react, Feng Yi's sweeping rifle butt had already hit Bella in the back.

"For…"

The answer dawned on Bella even as she voiced her question. Instead of excusing the steadily bleeding wound on the black-clothed man's neck as serious, it could be said that it was an illusion he deliberately created. The bullet that Gail had fired into his stomach had not caused him any harm at all. He held it in his hand the whole time, and now he released it. The bullet fell on the ground...
