Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 192 Collapse_1

When you examine things deeply, Feng Yi's lightning-fast attacks can become a bit interesting...

Before long, several high-ranking officers approached Weirbo, apparently engaged in a hushed conversation.

It seemed that St. Calina was planning to change its lineup at the last minute, proposing a ten-minute recess. In no time at all, Kuang Qi from the Cangmu family was summoned back to the contestant area by the principal of St. Calina through Heavenly Communication. No one knew what they discussed, but it was clear that Kuang Qi's eyebrows were increasingly furrowed.

At first, few paid much attention to Wind Thunder. But after Feng Yi made his lightning strike, even a fool could see that the tides had turned. Wind Thunder had gone from cannon fodder to becoming the big attraction of the solo combat. Who would have thought that this handsome guy would turn out to be the dark horse of this competition?

Not long after the live feed was cut off, a group of gender-bending enthusiasts who were often active at Sky City's Freedom Square came to support the middle of the event. Though there was none of Athena's preamble customary to school competitions, an event hosted by these four military schools had the tradition of calling in second-tier internet celebrities.

Upon learning of the pause, Feng Yi shrugged and leaned coolly against a corner of the combat platform, awaiting what for him felt like an eternity. He tilted his head and coolly scanned the oddly dressed, lively 'girls'; his gaze was peculiar...

Unexpectedly, two of the gender-bending individuals gave him an adorable smile, startling Sir Feng into a stumble.

Of course, that's an exaggeration, but Feng Yi's lightning attack indeed caused quite the shock. Even Apophis and Kuang Qi fell into silence. Was it mere coincidence? Could they keep up with that speed? The problem at hand seemed impossible to answer, unless they experienced it firsthand. But if they failed, they lost.

No need to contemplate it, Feng Yi was indeed the masked soldier who broke the observation posts and took down Kuang Qi that day. The ace of Wind Thunder; regardless of how clear Seventeen's strength was to others, St. Calina knew in their hearts. Discarding Kuang Qi, Seventeen was powerful enough to be ranked third and was effortlessly defeated. Who should go now? How should they proceed?

Perhaps a combatant of Feng Yi's level is beyond what can be handled by a military academy. Although they're not yet sure about his power, St. Calina doesn't want to risk it. Luckily there are a few cannon fodder to probe with during the early stages of the fight, after some deliberation, five minutes later, as the gender-bending group left the stage, Feng Yi was once again met with a new opponent.

She was a pretty girl with a ponytail, her agility was no less than Rebecca's. She just stared at Feng Yi when she stepped on the stage, not attacking.

A discerning person could understand what was happening: she was just running out the clock. If she couldn't defeat her opponent within the time limit, they would both be eliminated. From this, it could be inferred that St. Calina no longer had confidence in their victory.

Feng Yi rarely initiated attacks, not out of arrogance, but to observe his opponents' every move and integrate useful techniques into his own repertoire. In short, if there was something to be learned, he'd learn it, then finish his opponent off with a single strike without uttering a word. It was rare for him to make the first move, but since his opponent deliberately delayed, he decided to go for it.

As the two of them were at a moderate distance, a gentle jump would be enough to close it. Before he landed, he raised his arm and made a clawing motion, which resembled the Breast-Grabbing Technique.

However, his attempt failed spectacularly, as his opponent deftly evaded. Emily found it hilarious, as his failed takedown resembled a bear missing a hug.

Seeing that his strike was ineffective, Feng Yi made a sudden spin and again tried to close the gap, but his adversary was too nimble, a woman's natural advantage.

The two rapidly moved around the combat platform, sometimes appearing on one end, other times circling in the center. As their speed increased, the battle seemed to evolve into a game of tag. Feng Yi almost caught up to his opponent several times, but each time she managed to evade his grasp with her graceful movements.

Inspired incitements from the crowd filled the air as events became more and more exciting, moving everyone's attention to Wind Thunder. Meanwhile, Golden Sword Academy and Yingland Royal Military Academy were still in the cautious probing stage.

However, evasions can only go so far. It was unclear whether Feng Yi was using his full strength or not, but the reactions from the soldiers of St. Calina made it clear that his opponent had given her all. Still, in the end, she was a step too slow. All Feng Yi managed to grasp was a piece of fabric.

In an instant, the girl's pale upper body was exposed before countless pairs of eyes. A ripple of sighs followed by countless whistles and shouts spread across the sky...

The girl was now the focus of tens of thousands of eyes, not just a hundred or two. Her face suddenly turned deathly pale. Originally, Feng Yi wanted to take off his own shirt and lend it to her, but she disappeared without a trace before he had a chance.

The clicking sound of cameras filled the plaza...

Gossip journalists could no longer stay put, "Hello, I'm a journalist from the Military Entertainment Channel. Have you considered the feelings of the person you're photographing?"

"Consider my rear end, out of the way, don't block me."

Feng Yi stood there silently for a long time with the piece of cloth that had once been an undergarment. He could not ignore the fact that this embarrassing incident had indeed occurred.

St. Calina Academy filed a complaint against Wind Thunder combatant for misconduct and hooliganism.

Complaint dismissed.

The stage was silent, while laughter filled the stadium... This military combat had evolved into a farce.

This match, Wind Thunder wins.

Neither Wind Thunder nor St. Calina could save face. But life goes on and so does the battle. After a short while, the third St. Calina warrior stepped up.

This time it was a man, not afraid of groping. 'Go ahead, I dare you. Maverick, you.' This guy made a conscious effort not to fight agilely. After chasing for two rounds without getting a grip on him, he tripped over himself and went down. Feng Yi landed a casual hit to finish him off.

Then came the fourth combatant, who exited the stage as quickly as he came.

Now, St. Calina had given up on any tactics. Whatever pride they held had completely vanished. An opponent like this was golden, not one a military academy would fight freely. Despite the situation looking unfavorable, none of the top students responded when asked who wanted to take Feng Yi's head. They were too intimidated to engage in combat.

It wasn't that they didn't want to respond—it's just that how could a combat be comparable to a cakewalk? They kept falling down like a row of dominoes. They hadn't come here to be trifled with, and Wind Thunder ought to give them some face at least.
