Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 1137: Email

Perhaps for a certain project, Hans would always work tirelessly alone, often forgetting to eat. This day, Hans once again fell asleep in front of his desk...

As night fell, the lights in the Star Wars company sequentially lit up, yet no one was willing to knock on his office door. This somewhat innocent, somewhat adorable, and slightly stubborn man would relentlessly pursue an unrealistic dream, always steadfast in his beliefs.

Everyone knew Hans all too well. Those who have followed him until now are employees who have endured storms and hardships along the way.

Star Wars company has persisted until today with great difficulty, having experienced major rises and falls, the changing of eras, glory and decline. People have attempted to buy it out before, but Hans never announced any intention of bankruptcy.

The remaining employees were also reluctant to leave Hans and walk out of this company. People have feelings, whether towards Hans, towards this company, towards its former glory, or even towards Revenge Shadow Rider and the lost youth, what remains is far more than just nostalgia.

Such a good boss is hard to find. Even if they earn a bit less, it's okay, because this is where they have once battled alongside Revenge Shadow Rider. Even though the Revenge Shadow Rider is now silent and seems no longer the person it used to be, since they've been with Hans, they are willing to indulge once more and choose to trust Hans.

That night, Feng Yi silently arrived at the Star Wars company, Hans's office, looking at the man still asleep. Feng Yi was somewhat reluctant to disturb him; this man truly is... hardworking enough.

Feng Yi reached out to try and call Hans Uncle, to say thank you, but his empty sleeves held nothing, for indeed, he had no body.

'Ah! You have a family, a business, and children, why do you tire yourself in pursuit of something like Revenge Shadow Rider and awaken me?'

Having gone through two lifetimes of reincarnation, Feng Yi had his own unique perspective on life. People should live well in this world, go with the flow, ultimately return to dust, and earth to earth, back to the essence of where they belong. But in a forest, there are all kinds of birds, and some like to take the path less traveled.

"Alright, if that's the case."

With a subtle movement of thoughts accompanying the aura of rhythmic pulses spreading, the whole room became even quieter.

It was a beautiful dawn, yet also evening after dusk approaching nightfall. A gentle breeze brushed across the green grass of Immortal Trace, a beauty felt only in dreams. Even standing at the peak of Olympus, Hans, awoken, would find it difficult to trace back the fleeting eternal snapshot, not fully capturing the impact this moment brought him.

Mr. Hans, a voice came from afar becoming near, seemingly smiling cunningly, yet a black cloak covered his whole body. Beneath the solemn exterior, a divine angel-like aura emerged, belonging uniquely to the Quantum Law Pulse of observers.

In sleep, Hans carried a hint of doubt on his face, feeling a peculiar familiarity with this voice; even the aura it held seemed so familiar to that person. Hans hadn't not seen Feng Yi before and knew Revenge Shadow Rider best, perhaps due to the dream's realism, for an instant, Hans even mistook the newcomer for Revenge Shadow Rider.

After all, besides God, who else could possess such a simple sacred aura?

"Are you Revenge Shadow Rider? I am your loyal devotee, Hans."

This...

Feng Yi was about to speak but paused, planning to chat briefly with Hans, even just to say thanks, tell him not to be stubborn, to not overthink, advise against straying further down misguided paths. Yet, faced with Hans's intense longing, Feng Yi felt deeply and suddenly fell silent... forcibly suppressing the thoughts he originally intended to convey.

Perhaps this explanation would be better, "No, I am merely a emissary, only here to convey its will."

Ah? Convey its will, half-awake Hans gasped in surprise, "Messenger? You say you are that person's messenger."

"Indeed, it has received your prayers."

Not conveying thoughts was fine, but this conveyance equaled a bolt from the blue, because the dream seemed so real that Hans once believed he was awake. He could even indeed confirm he was sleeping, in the dream, the intense emotional upheaval led to words just being spoken here, Hans suddenly awoke from the dream.

This was too real, yet upon waking, Hans saw the familiar desk, the room unchanged internally, an all-black room, seeming quieter.

Quietness can make one calm and think, Hans exhaled a long breath... gently lighting a cigarette, thoughts half-sunken in the brief images of the recent dream. For some reason, his heart suddenly thumped fiercely.

Something's amiss, something seemed odd to him, Hans instantly caught the anomaly. Why would his thoughts be glimpsed by the dream figure? After a little thought, Hans soon became relieved, maybe it was subconscious mischief. When subconscious regards the other party as spirits, not neurons, then, you'll continuously imply to yourself that the other party is God.

But in reality, everything is just subconscious self-directing and acting. As a player in the scene, you'll naturally see the other party as an omnipotent divine trickster, ah no no no no, not a divine trickster, but a deity. Why did he call that person a divine trickster?

Anyway, it's all fine, Hans was now awake, just... this dream really felt too real, so real that even when the mind was alert, it would occasionally link thoughts to it.
