Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 1135: Reverse Flow of Time_2

"Hmm? No way." The fat man shook his head repeatedly, cheeks jiggling like a rattle drum.

Iman pointed elegantly towards a corner of the sky. "Look over there."

"Huh? Over there? What's unusual?" Looking in the direction of Iman's finger, Zhang Xiaobo didn't notice anything unusual, "Are you talking about that nebula? That's some unknown number of light-years away from here, right?"

"Yes, that faint red area."

"Oh, yes, I see it. Is there a problem?" Zhang Xiaobo scratched his head, perplexed and at a loss.

"When we arrived two days ago, there shouldn't have been any light in that direction. I think I couldn't be mistaken."

"Then you must have seen it wrong, maybe it's just a supernova explosion."

"No, the scale of a supernova explosion is much larger than this. I can confirm that it absolutely cannot be a supernova explosion."

Iman reminded Zhang Xiaobo that two days ago, when the three of them first arrived at these coordinates, there was indeed no sign of that red object in the universe. It should be noted how vast space is, and given their position is so far from that bright area, such a light couldn't be man-made.

In other words, the distant light rules out celestial collisions and isn't any known physical phenomenon by humans, so why did such a spectacle suddenly appear?

Hey, come to think of it, if Iman hadn't pointed it out, he really wouldn't have noticed these things. After Iman elaborated, Zhang Xiaobo suddenly recalled an inexplicable emotion that recently surfaced in his mind. Although he didn't know if it was related to this, his subconscious might have already noticed it, even though his conscious mind hadn't, causing him, for a moment, to feel a sudden inexplicable tremor in his heart.

Zhang Xiaobo frowned and said, "Why don't we tell that woman? She's got a much better understanding of astronomy than we do."

Iman seemed rather disdainful of Zhang Xiaobo's suggestion. After all, she is well-versed in many fields, even though most are combat-related, she is at least an android where anything seen gets recorded, not to mention her mind holds countless modern physics knowledge, and Iman silently pursed her lips and nodded lightly in agreement.

The two quickly went to the main control room of the Blade Warrior without knowing what she was observing, they relayed their findings to the Blade Warrior.

"I've seen it too."

The Blade Warrior replied, indicating she was currently observing that bizarre red celestial body, as there wasn't much to do in the vastness of the universe other than staring at the heavens, she had also noticed it just now. She was calculating the halo distance and its origin by analyzing gravitational pulse strength and microwave radiation angular disparity.

Iman shook her head, half-thinking aloud, "I don't think this is caused by natural astral evolution."

"Hmm... this..." The Blade Warrior lowered her eyes, pondering slightly, "It's hard to say for now, as I've never seen such an astronomical phenomenon so far."

Upon hearing this, Zhang Xiaobo was immediately stunned! If Iman said she hadn't seen it, he wouldn't worry too much. But he knew well enough what kind of person the Blade Warrior is, you could call her a physicist, an astronomer, or even a cosmologist, a biologist. Even though Zhang Xiaobo didn't understand how such a young woman could have such extensive knowledge, unsurprisingly, he also couldn't know the real age of the Blade Warrior. Yet, hearing her say she had never seen a phenomenon like this was enough to make Zhang Xiaobo realize the extraordinariness of the situation.

"Old, sis, you're joking around with celestial bodies, right? You're saying you've never seen such a phenomenon, I don't buy it, not in a million years."

"Believe it or not, but when I say I've never seen it, I mean it. I'm very curious about the cause of this phenomenon." As she spoke, she seemed reminded of something, as if a matter was related to it but had no leads.

Feeling frustrated, the Blade Warrior shook her head vigorously.

"What's bothering you, sis?"

"I just feel there's something related to what we're seeing now, but I can't connect everything, can't find the cause."

Her words left Iman and Zhang Xiaobo bewildered, and at this point, the Blade Warrior urged the two to think quickly, to recall if something similar had happened somewhere or at some stage.

Iman kept a half-composed face, looking down silently, evidently not connecting any related matters.

However, Zhang Xiaobo pondered for a long time before suddenly telling the Blade Warrior, "Do you remember four years ago?"

"Four years ago, is there any need to connect it to this incident?"

"Perhaps there is."

"Then quickly say it."

"I remember four years ago when we crossed parallel dimensions, calculating from the original timeline, which means it would've been the outer universe 20 years in the future, four years ago."

These words from Zhang Xiaobo were barely out, and the Blade Warrior's body was thunderstruck, and she froze immediately. She caught a sliver of a clue from back then instantly. However, she did not interrupt Zhang Xiaobo's voice but attentively listened to every word he said.

Zhang Xiaobo recalled that it was during the time he and the Blade Warrior, along with Mengdie, Kexiao, Roland, and Sky Shadow, traversed parallel dimensions together to find Feng Yi. The world order there might differ slightly from here. As a result, he noticed during multiple crossings of the Red Cloud, the wonders appearing outside the 103 Colonial Planet domain bore significant resemblance to the current distant celestial scene.

That's how it went, Zhang Xiaobo expressed he had finished speaking, and only after stating his personal views did the Blade Warrior sharply inhale!

Prompted by Zhang Xiaobo's words, the Blade Warrior, constantly gathering fragments of memory, also unearthed the scene from back then in her mind. However, it was an extremely brief scene, fleeting. Despite how hard she tried, she couldn't remember it. But when Zhang Xiaobo finished speaking, she stood motionless in place, suddenly dazed, and solemnly said, "No, that can't be, the development of two dimensions cannot be the same. If that's the case, then things will be troublesome."

"Hey, sis, don't scare me. I'm timid, what went wrong?"

"It's not what you think."

The Blade Warrior shook her head, expressing her gravest apprehensions. You could say there is basically no 'bizarre' occurrence in the other dimension, yet there is the existence of the Cantelu race, another civilization apart from humans. What's different is that this civilization's technological advancements far exceed those of humans, but they're uniquely afraid of diseases carried by humans.

This is why the Cantelu race and humans could coexist peacefully after years of war.

However, the infection rate of viruses in that dimension reached an uncontrollable level long ago and, having evolved multiple times, the viruses became impossible to stop. Those with strong constitutions would either remain uninfected, like Rank 3 warriors, but to be infected meant facing grave danger.

The current halo matches exactly with the scene from 20 years in the future; dealing with one bizarre occurrence is difficult enough. If a Cantelu or some unknown civilization monster appears, humanity's future fate could really be hanging by a thread.

In the other dimension, the person most knowledgeable is Roland, as she was known to have spoken extensively with Feng Yi. Now, the only thing that can be confirmed is that this halo matches closely with the one seen by all four years ago.

In other words, the events happening in another time-space dimension have occurred in this starry sky as well. The only difference lies in the fact that in that dimension, Feng Yi was not recognized, nor did that Feng Yi die, plus the time nodes are different.

According to this dimension's timeline, it was still four years ago. In other words, the incident might happen in 16 years. The 103 Colonial Planet was originally located at the extreme north of the Federation, and the Red Cloud appeared again in the northeast of the 103 Colonial Planet, which is in the direction of Silver Alliance's Rekart. If the estimation is correct, 16 years from today, the red nebula may indeed move to a position not far from Rekart.

It was precisely because Sky Shadow searched for this starry sky too remotely that everyone could observe the red halo just emerging. However... is this halo truly connected with another dimension? The more the Blade Warrior thought about it, the less daring she was to imagine.
