Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 1477: Destiny Pusher

Mo Ying briefly recounted his understanding of the universe's rules to Feng Yi, stating that the existence and proliferation of all things in the universe are relative. Birth and destruction are both accidental and inevitable because without suffering, there would be no joy. Flowers blossom and then wither; a person's life is much longer than the blooming and fading of a flower. From the moment of birth, humans are constantly heading towards decay. However, if we compare this with the extensive life cycle of the universe, this point in time appears very brief.

In these precious few decades or centuries, regardless of what is gained or lost, everything will eventually turn to eternal rest and decay, whereas only the value of creation will be continued. If human civilization ceases to advance, there are certainly two inevitable reasons—selfishness and laziness.

Selfishness leads humans to deceive each other, wasting precious time on meaningless issues.

Laziness hinders human progress, reveling in material comforts, continuously seeking answers from the knowledge wealth left by predecessors, and gradually forgetting to innovate. In this process, the cycle of life becomes particularly precious.

To train a child to master a certain field of expertise might take years or even decades, a period of cultivation that is meaningless for human development. When that child finally possesses the equivalent knowledge of a scholar or expert, they might be old, with deteriorating brain cells and solidified knowledge that can thoroughly restrict active thought. Even a genius's rich creative power would be buried by a brief lifespan.

In other words, if Einstein could have lived until now, humanity certainly wouldn't have waited until the year 2400 to venture out from Earth.

The reason why Blade Warrior is good at invention and creation is not that she is smarter than others, but rather due to accumulated knowledge and time. Clearly, she considered this, which is why she focused on experiments to increase the average human lifespan in recent years, and she has achieved significant results.

In these seemingly uneventful but hopeful years, an epidemic emerged, followed by the phenomenon of the Magic Crystal civilization. Yet, what is limiting human development? Is it inherent problems, the natural cycle, or is human destiny prearranged?

Feng Yi found Mo Ying's words both shocking and inexplicably odd...

"Aside from destiny, don't you think there are many coincidental factors in the trajectory of your growth leading up to death?"

"Coincidences?"

"Yes, starting from the moment of your birth. After you were born, your shuttle encountered space pirates and had to make an emergency landing on an 8x gravity planet, yet you did not die. You kept growing and training there. Even during times of war, you were saved twice by federal soldiers."

"That shouldn't be called a coincidence." Feng Yi said.

"Perhaps not. When you left Planet 103 for Alpha, Lasso, who trained you and taught you knowledge, also died not long after. When many such coincidences are connected, it might not be just coincidence."

"What do you mean?"

"Slight changes can also trigger the butterfly effect. To put it simply, the harsh survival environment on the Colonial Planet forced you to grow while also making your nature colder. It was Lasso who kept reminding you not to forget your original aspirations. It was Sheng Qiangwei's near-death experience that made you rediscover emotions. It was Amelia who showed you both sides of human nature. Your first night was given to Angelina, which made you more prestigious in front of Greedy Wolf. Plus, you have a good brother who has always helped you manage the Bounty Tribe. With Hans's influence, the reputation of Revenge Shadow Rider grew day by day—and you found a Mecha on Death Planet and made acquaintance with Blade Warrior for technical help. Because of this, you came to Bull Planet and coincidentally obtained the black Mecha crafted by Reyna's own hands, making Revenge Shadow Rider's original influence like the sun at high noon and obtaining Storm Wings in a battle, which deters other forces from easily targeting you. Isn't everything going smoothly?"

Mo Ying's rhetorical question made Feng Yi increasingly suspect that this person was some sort of charlatan, "Everything seems normal."

"Indeed, everything was overly normal. When you were determined to pursue revenge, your power even reached an unprecedented level, with Legendary Realm capable of unleashing tenfold combat power. The problem started when your mindset began to change, as you became more open-minded and gradually realized that hatred could not fundamentally change everything. When you wanted to end this war, your realm remained forever in the mid-Legendary Realm. If you had broken through this phase, you might never have died."

"You mean..."

"Your transformation might not have met the expectations of the one who set this up. As a result, Zana happened to get the message about the Shadow Rider, the Jade Clear Sect mysteriously learned of a certain secret manual on you and tried to search for it, leading to the previously accident-free Five Elements forbidden technique causing an irreversible situation on you and resulting in your death, turning you completely into a disregarded pawn of the schemer. I think you are a very special existence, at least in the period before your death, as Mengdie, with the best talent, coincidentally got pregnant with your offspring. Due to your death, the Blade Warrior's stance no longer leaned towards the Federation, or rather, no longer towards humanity itself, but became more focused on searching for the Light Crystal. For someone who doesn't have the thread of destiny, I don't think this is a mere coincidence."

The voice of Mo Ying sent shivers down Feng Yi's spine. In terms of realms, he indeed had hit a plateau years ago, a fact even Feng Yi himself believed to be a bottleneck he couldn't break through. But there is a saying: talent determines the lower limit, effort determines the upper limit. He was no less inferior to anyone else, yet during these years, Sky Shadow and Kexiao kept catching up to his pace. If all this was a setup by some entity, that would be truly unbelievable.

Mo Ying said: "Constrained by cosmic rules, Bizarre won't appear in the three-dimensional world in its own way, yet it can propel this space to influence the historical development in the direction of its expectations—did your mental consciousness gain special abilities after syncing with the universe? For example, the Third Rhythm. This is also a probabilistic connection you have with the 3.5-dimensional 'Bizarre.' I cannot tell whether your birth has anything to do with the Magic Crystal civilization or if you were created by Bizarre, but what I can be sure of is that this ability is both a product of Bizarre's influence and a restriction on it. Perhaps you originally came from the 3.5-dimensional space, or maybe Bizarre had foreseen that you would grasp such power when you changed your mindset, which would affect it, and hence it wanted to erase you desperately."

"Is this your speculation?" Feng Yi asked.

"Is this your question?" Mo Ying asked in return.

"Yes."

Mo Ying answered: "The 3.5-dimensional probability space is different from normal dimensions. I cannot sense whether it pushes your destiny or not, but from the magnetic field anomaly of Satellite 8, I can discern its arrival here. Of course, this was after your death. From this point, we can infer that it harbors fear for your capabilities."

"You're saying Bizarre has already come to this cosmic space?"

"Yes, the disintegration of the Magic Crystal civilization's warship was caused by Bizarre."

Feng Yi let out a light sigh, feeling relieved that all these things were no longer related to him as he was already dead, yet his heart still held many mysteries: "Mo Ying, please ask your question."

"For the time being, I have no other questions. You can rest. Maybe we will meet again, or maybe, we'll never meet."

Feng Yi was startled, "Why do you say that?"

"This is your second question, but nevermind. Because Bizarre's appearance will affect this space, leading to instabilities in the probability of you seeing me."

"If I keep resting, will I never wake up like this again?"

"Yes, you are now just an energy being, your consciousness will become more and more vague, until it eventually dissipates..."

"I see..."

Without getting the answers he wanted, Feng Yi couldn't help feeling a bit disappointed. As the voice of Mo Ying gradually faded away, his consciousness too started to blur...
