Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 993: So That's How It Is_2

In fact, these can all be categorized as part of a conspiracy, with capital's footsteps constantly infringing on our interests. To suppress their competitors, they are willing to send talents to the opponents and change values in structural foundations, which is also part of the dark history from centuries ago.

It's just like why, years ago, planes would rather have all their passengers die than equip them with parachutes or other survival means. At least with parachutes, there is a glimmer of hope, whereas on a plane, it's basically over.

Some might say that the altitude of a passenger plane is between six to twelve kilometers, where there's a lack of oxygen, colder temperatures, and stronger winds, usually resulting in temperatures around minus 30 to 50 degrees during the fall. However, they don't mention that this is only the surface temperature. Nor do they say what the usual range between six to twelve kilometers is—perhaps six, perhaps twelve. When you try to argue and successfully spark doubt among people, capital will silence your voice in various ways.

Others say that for ordinary people without parachuting training, survival chances aren't very high, but they won't say that being on a passenger plane is a certain death.

Of course, some will mention the difficulty of opening cabin doors due to internal air pressure issues, but why not consider installing a pressurization device? Then there are those who say you might be smashed to death or sucked into the ejection system—the probability of which is very low.

However, they always add that another reason is due to the cost issue; after all, the average weight of a parachute is not light. In short, capital will find more excuses to justify excuses. From ancient times to the present, capital has always played the role of exploitation in human history, while common people generation after generation become harvested leeks. History proves the only lesson it can provide for us is that there is no lesson.

Time and again, the importance of Marx's theoretical ideas has been proven. We are always complacent, trying to avoid repeating mistakes, yet we often fall into similar quagmires.

There are countless economic laws, but can so-called capital laws make everyone rich? Where there is power, there will be conflict. To this day, the noble and righteous way of exploitation still dominates mainstream human society.

But Blade Warrior is different. This woman, known as a capitalist, seems to have contributed more to humanity than she has gained, at least in such simple matters as time-space traveling. She dares to stand out, willing to try, and brave enough to risk herself. For a capitalist, this is beyond what ninety-nine percent of capitalists can do.

But even someone like Blade Warrior has mishaps. Mark definitely doesn't believe a grand scheme of parallel dimension trial flight would be completed in such a short time—a time so brief it is mere seconds—and perhaps it has already failed...

But it doesn't seem like it, pondered Mark, deciding to observe Blade Warrior's facial expressions through his gaze. As a military man who has been in the force for years, he is more than familiar with reading expressions.

Unfortunately, Mark was disappointed. At first, for a few seconds, he noticed a slight change in Blade Warrior's complexion, but then there were no more signs. Blade Warrior just walked away, trotting towards the quietly parked Time-Space Transfer Device.

Forget it, just thinking won't solve anything, Mark decided to follow and see what Blade Warrior has to say.

So, he also ran quickly to catch up with the group, determined to learn what had happened as soon as possible.

"You're back so soon, are you sure there's no problem?" Mark asked with his uncertain voice, by Blade Warrior's side.

"I'm not sure what the situation is yet. I set the timer for five minutes. By that logic, the Time-Space Transfer Device shouldn't automatically return until after five minutes. It couldn't have been this fast—Yita, check what happened inside."

Upon hearing this, Yita did not dare to delay and immediately leapt to the Time-Space Transfer Device, pressed the remote control to open the lift door, and not long after, as Blade Warrior and the group approached the Time-Space Transfer Device, Yita jumped out.

"Mr. Blade Warrior, there was no anomaly inside. I think we can't rule out the possibility of an unpredictable malfunction in the Time-Space Machine," Yita reported.

"Mhm, perhaps," said Blade Warrior, but she didn't believe it in her heart. This was a machine she had personally crafted, every software, hardware, even the most trivial parts, were meticulously handpicked and selected by her instructions to Yita. An error was impossible. Moreover, as someone so cherishing of her own life, she wouldn't dare entrust the making of such a device like the Time-Space Machine to other staff—any carelessness could mean no return.

But even so, an unforeseeable situation occurred. Blade Warrior's mood, which had been quite good, was now cooled by half. Thankfully, the Time-Space Transfer Device did indeed disappear from its original position and, a few seconds later, was transmitted back to the preset transfer point, meaning that there was no issue on this front.

Time to check everything carefully.

At this moment, Sky Shadow was frowning deeply. He was supposed to go to the parallel universe to find Feng Yi, not to court death. But the situation seemed somewhat mysterious, and if it was just this level of transfer, he would rather stay put.

Kexiao seemed to have seen through it all, not particularly concerned with the current situation. What mattered to him was whether the Time-Space Transfer Device could truly traverse through dimensions.

With various doubts, as soon as Blade Warrior stepped up, she activated the C device and her hands flew rapidly over the computer keyboard, a stream of incomprehensible code scrolling up at an overwhelming pace.

After a while, a sigh escaped her lips... Clearly, Blade Warrior hadn't detected any anomalies; there was not the slightest trace of malfunction in the machinery, which was strange.

She gently rested her hand on her delicate chin, humming and hawing for a long time without reaching any conclusion...

"Blade Warrior, how long did you set the timer for?" Suddenly, Sky Shadow asked.

"Very short. I set the initial test flight for 5 minutes. Under normal circumstances, this transfer device should have landed after that period, but it didn't for some reason." Blade Warrior's frown deepened, her expression terribly awkward. Combined with her mature feminine charm, she was exceedingly endearing.

However, Sky Shadow was far from feeling any compassion or tenderness, instead he snapped, "Fool, idiot! That means it has already traversed."

"Eh? What did you say, the machine traversed...?" Blade Warrior was not angered by Sky Shadow's scolding; rather, she asked back excitedly.

"Humph, you're the inventor of this machine after all, did you not notice the discrepancy in time?" Sky Shadow replied coldly.

"Time, a discrepancy in time."

"Look at the clock on it, the time inside this machine is precisely 5 minutes behind my chronometer."

Clearly, by saying this, Sky Shadow had noticed a 5-minute discrepancy between the internal time of the machine and his chronometer. He refused to believe that a basic error like a slow clock could occur in Blade Warrior's machine; which meant, the machine could have already travelled 5 minutes into the future. Only, during the transfer process, the timeline of their dimension was different from the intrinsic flow of time within the machine, causing it to appear as a fleeting moment when, in fact, it was a success.

My God! How could I have not noticed that! Blade Warrior stood stunned for a long time... She was simply too foolish, but from this perspective, it was clear that Sky Shadow's insight and thought process were much more detached than anyone else present, at least, Sky Shadow had already considered this possibility.

"Did it, did it succeed?" Blade Warrior muttered to herself.

"Yes, I think it did." Mark timely added a sentence.
