Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 796: The Battle Situation

Revenge Shadow Rider alone fought against three opponents with sheer force, almost breaking through with a sweeping stance. The high-frequency vibrating mech projected multiple afterimages as it advanced. With the clanging sounds of metal on metal escalating, a continuous symphony of clashes was an incessant presence to the ear, sparks flying in all directions. Both sides were now fighting with their utmost strength.

This was a collision at the top level that ordinary soldiers could not interfere with, where the loser dies. There were no excessive technical moves involved; what was needed was simply the foundation, sheer strength, and an indomitable momentum.

Under Apophis's frantic containment, Wraith 3 only managed to keep up a relentless battle, with scarcely a chance to catch its breath, let alone offer support to the others, resulting in the present scenario of everyone fighting their own battles.

In the starry battlefield, Kexiao also maintained a stance of one against four without falling behind. Yet even for him, this was by no means an easy fight; on the contrary, both sides were constantly on the edge of death.

Personal pressure on Kexiao was enormous as well, always facing the threat of his mech exploding or being destroyed, although it was only a matter of probability.

Fortunately for him, the pressure of facing Kexiao was far less than going up against Revenge Shadow Rider. Not to say Shadow Rider was stronger, but the oppressive feeling from a top-tier explosive warrior was almost unbearable.

However, as time passed, the concentrated strength and physical advantages of top-tier warriors gradually became apparent... Kexiao's counterattack frequency continued to speed up, and his offensives grew more intense, with every strike potentially lethal.

At this moment, two of the Federation's super-soldiers were already wounded.

The Earth Dragon piloted by Younger Haier, known for its exceptionally strong defense, capable of both underwater and subterranean operations, had its frontal armor, which was extremely tough, and its flanks with Black Hole buffering layers, penetrated by a shot from Kexiao's gun. A vicious gash 50 cm long was left near the missile rack, fortunately not resulting in an explosion thanks to lady luck.

One half of the arm of the Sky Demon was also severed in the recent clash by a crescent slash from the Savior.

Even the pilots of the undamaged Sky God and Holy Sword Finis were left gasping for breath, helpless in their cockpits... unable to do anything about Kexiao.

Many times they had seen opportunities, but they were just incapable of seizing those fleeting vulnerabilities. Over the comms channel, the four had already attempted numerous coordinated tactics.

Of course, Kexiao was not as relaxed as they imagined. He was also panting heavily...

Having to face four at once was indeed strenuous for him, but thankfully, the opponents were running low on stamina. It is basic knowledge that the attacking side spends more energy than the defending side, and as he kept them contained, a little more effort might indeed result in the destruction of one or two mechs.

With this thought in mind, Kexiao decided to attempt a direct assault on one person.

After all, among the Haier Brothers, their strength was the weakest, and Earth Dragon was already wounded. With that in mind, he suddenly executed a swift barrel roll in the void and charged straight at Earth Dragon...

A flash of cold light led the way, as the Savior's lance struck like a dragon. This roundabout thrust was utterly unpredictable, but before it could reach its target, it was forced back by multiple long-range weapons fired by the two Hairs, barrage after barrage...

Ha! Worthy of being called the Twins of Destiny.

The brothers' seamless understanding indeed resembled that of a perfectly fitted garment, flawless. As he made his first move, they had already preemptively struck – but even their coordination had its gaps, as their control over space wasn't quite perfect. Should it have been Jiu Ling, with her level of shared understanding, he would indeed have had no way to cope.

Actually, what Kexiao most dreaded were Angelina and Ophelia, who stood nearby. If they had also struck at the same time in that condition, dodging would not have been so easy.

The Savior returned from its attack, somewhat unsatisfied, and in the moment of return, it suddenly twisted sharply and resolutely attacked in Angelina's direction.

Angelina was not weak, but with the Sky Demon having lost an arm, it was as though it had lost half of its combat power. Thinking there was an opportunity, Kexiao roared; the Savior flew in, flipping and weaving through fire, determinedly breaking through to the front...

In the blink of an eye, he was pushed back by a wave of Mental Ability from Angelina...

Cursing under his breath, Kexiao then set his sights on the third person, Ophelia.

Seeing the situation, Ophelia showed no fear but instead advanced to meet his charge. After all, she thought, just because she had been suppressed earlier, did it mean she couldn't wield her blade anymore, or was the young man just too complacent?

As an offensive warrior, Ophelia took the lead without a second word; with two leaps and three lunges, she fired the first strike, determined to let them know the might of Holy Sword Finis.

The Savior burst forth. Just as Holy Sword Finis took a direct stab, the Savior's mech performed an emergency blink, narrowly grazing past, withdrawing a crescent moon short blade aiming for the cockpit.

It was regrettable for Ophelia as her attack was a feint; her sword stopped midway, suddenly spinning around and flung her wrist with the intention of an immediate unarmed counter capturing the blade, a maneuver with a difficulty rating of 8.7.

Hmph, trivial trickery.

With a flick of the wrist, the Savior's short blade switched from backhand to forehand, following with a sweeping slash aimed at slicing both Ophelia and the Finis along with her arm.

Ophelia couldn't help but feel alarmed! This was an attack she had long planned, yet it was countered instantly by the opponent, who went from defense to offense. The man was not only mighty in strength and battle IQ but also surpassed their military in technique and action.

However, Kexiao's attack never fully came down. In that critical instant, the Sky Demon was already targeting the Savior's fatal weaknesses. Not just that, the Haier Brothers also coordinated to encircle him from above and below simultaneously.
