Marvelous Mecha

Chapter 792: Laning Normally

"You… want to try it alone?"

Jiu Ling stared at Kexiao as if looking at a freak, trying to discern some other emotion in his gaze, yet there was none.

It must be said that sometimes Kexiao could be more reliable than anyone else, yet at other times, he would give you an utterly inscrutable impression.

Regardless of whether Kexiao had any prior experience piloting a mecha, even if he had, at best it wouldn't be too advanced; after all, everyone was of the same age, and no one had ever seen him pilot a mecha. No matter how talented you are, just how strong can you be? Each of these super warriors was a genius, and Jiu Ling was even hailed as the lead of the 12-star generals.

Even so, she would find it a bit difficult to face the Haier Brothers alone, let alone Kexiao's intention to take on four by himself. Those were four super warriors, not four cabbages ready for the picking. Even the Revenge Shadow Rider would probably not fare well against four adversaries and might even end up capsized. Yet Kexiao, was he really not joking with everyone…?

"Are you serious?"

Kexiao shrugged noncommittally.

Jiu Ling said nothing more, and although she did not quite understand what Kexiao was thinking, she asked the question with utmost gravity. Kexiao's affirmation was enough for her.

She wouldn't claim to know Kexiao well, but obviously, Jiu Ling was aware that Kexiao was not someone to joke about this kind of major matter.

Don't be fooled by his usual laissez-faire demeanor; when it came to getting things done, he was always casual yet precise in his method, and it was very hard to find flaw in his approach.

However, the kind of calm Kexiao possessed was entirely different from others. Jiu Ling struggled to describe it; as a warrior, if she really had to use a battle style as a metaphor… Kexiao was not as forceful as the Soaring Sword Dragon, nor as steady as Blue Electric Rain, and certainly not the rushing style of the Maximal Outbreak of Revenge Shadow Rider.

He gave the illusion of being invulnerable. Of course, as a teammate, it was undoubtedly trust, a trust as stable as a lake without any ripples. Yet when he acted, he would be like a dragon bursting from the sea, fast as lightning. This was the impression Kexiao gave Jiu Ling.

She had to admit, he was flawless; this could be seen in his air battle with Feng Yi, depicting a distinct style where Feng Yi leaned towards the extreme. The arcane yet exhilarating piloting would give one the roller coaster sensation of heaven and hell.

And Kexiao, he was as stable as Mount Tai. As obstacles arose, you could see him narrowly dodging attacks with perfect precision, his evasion made him even more awe-inspiring compared to Feng Yi.

Looking at the entire world, if one were forced to find pilots with styles similar to the two mentioned, it wasn't impossible. Sky Shadow had a battle style quite similar to Feng Yi, though it seemed Sky Shadow's capabilities might be somewhat exaggerated.

As for Kexiao, there was only one person who resembled him—Roland, a man with a very mysterious background. He once served as a federal super warrior on the front lines but for some unknown reasons left the federation.

It could be said that during the time Roland was there, facing him was a headache for all the nations because you couldn't beat him, nor suppress him. This Roland didn't seem overly aggressive; instead, he appeared more like an observer.

Undeniably, Roland's style was extremely similar to Kexiao's, even perhaps more consistently stable, able to cope with any opponent without falling behind, be it against the superior Red Cloak or the top-tier White Cloak. Although Roland's combat results were average, the fact that he never lost ground to anyone could not be ignored.

Sometimes, Jiu Ling would also often be lost in her thoughts… she wondered, are the 12-star generals truly the most potential pilots?

"What are you thinking? Watch the electronic map," Kexiao pointed to a coordinate on the electronic map. "Everyone get ready to quickly reinforce these positions and cooperate fully with the main forces on Planet A. This place is the only area where our forces have a chance to turn the tide in the twin stars area."

They all paused for a moment, listening to Kexiao, who now had a rare seriousness in his tone. Xia Mu sighed softly, and a palpable exclamation mark appeared in the room, "You lad, don't tell me you're actually planning to…"

"That's exactly it."

Xia Mu wanted to say more, obviously worried about Kexiao's predicament, but Jiu Ling gently stopped him, "Understood. We'll reinforce quickly. Of course, there's one last question."

"You're asking why dispatch 5 super warriors at once to support a seemingly insignificant planet, instead of splitting support for two planets?" Kexiao looked at everyone. "Do you all really think this mission is that simple?"

As everyone nodded silently… Kexiao sighed helplessly. "Your task is not easy at all, perhaps hundreds of times more arduous than what I face. Don't forget we still have an old nemesis."

"You mean, Revenge Shadow Rider." Jiu Ling was the quickest to respond, clearly catching on, and of course, this was also Jiu Ling's former shadow, so she was quite sensitive to Kexiao's words.

"Heh, who knows," Kexiao said, not answering directly, but after Jiu Ling's remark, everyone felt a heavy sense of foreboding in their hearts!

It must be said that the deployment of five super warriors from Saudi was indeed a formidable force, five people… that's five individuals. And if the other side added a Revenge Shadow Rider to their ranks, the situation might fundamentally change.
