They had also proposed planting mines in Lin Yi's area but were rejected.

Why waste mines if the Zombie General only sent a bunch of cannon fodder as the vanguard?

Because his main zombie forces would not attack until humans started to tire.

The Shelter Army could easily kill the cannon fodder without using mines, and they still had to consider the rewards and experience points.

The mines slowed the attacks on the two fronts, but the zombies in Lin Yi's area had already reached halfway to the earth wall.

American soldiers were dispersed in three zones for support, and the grunts here started to get nervous.
