(Leo begins to explain.)

For awhile I didn't understand what my purpose would be in the new world, the one we came to understand after the collapse. The government fell apart and hunters slowly became the main defense against the monsters.

But it left people helpless against the hunters who didn't care for protecting. Not everyone has a good heart so an order was formed to help handle those types of people.

One that was around before the collapse, The Watchers. They'd deal with problems in silence as people continued on with their lives.

But eventually they all died off during the initial collapse or maybe they awakened. I'm sure you know that not all awakenings are good though.

Some people are considered failed awakenings and end up becoming monsters as well. For a long time we've handled the failed awakenings and even dealt with the shitty hunters who want to reign over everyone.

It's not the easiest job for us since not everyone here is strong enough. Most here can barely handle an S Rank by themselves but we've been getting stronger.

The problem was that some of our members were getting too hungry for the kills so we lost our way a bit, obviously it caught the attention of someone with good intentions. That's where you came along.

We are the watchers of the new era. I don't want to have you as an enemy against us, so I'd like to offer a chance for peace between us.

(He stops talking and waits for me to respond.)

I've honestly never heard of the watchers in all of my years alive, not once. I guess they'd always be working in the shadows so I'd never know.

But an order that old still existing is kind of shocking to me. He didn't tell me a lot about it, other than the intentions they have. Killing those who only have evil in their blood isn't a bad thing.

I was also kind of working towards that mindset myself so maybe peace wouldn't be the worst idea. I'll have to figure out some kind of excuse to give Lucien.

"I'll accept your peace offer. What exactly am I supposed to tell the person who ordered this request?" I ask after accepting his offer.

"Say you handled the situation of course. We'll die down for awhile anyway since I need to correct my men." Leo answers without any hesitation.

Something about him still really pissed me off but I won't let it ruin an opportunity for peace. I know where to find this order now anyway, we have the location because of Ghost.

So it won't ever be a problem to find them again if they cause some sort of issue.

"Won't your people hold a grudge because of the ones we killed?" Akina speaks up with a curious tone.

"I'll handle it all, nothing to worry about here." Leo assures her.

The remainder of the time was spent talking about useless shit that no one really cared for right now. History of the watchers, blah blah blah.

Eventually we left the manor with a new plan in mind. We'd find a place to rest before heading back for the towers.

"That guy yaps so damn much." Akina says with an annoyed tone.

"Indeed he does. At least we are finally back on track again." I reply while stretching.

"Do you know the way back towards the tower?" Velia asks.

I forgot that we were out away from the cities now which would make it a bit harder to get to a tower. They are tall enough to see them easily but it's still quite the walk.

"I've got the coordinates already, they were in the same system surprisingly. I'll lead the way." Ghost answers with a bit of excitement.

I actually don't mind Ghost leading us around for a change since it shows how much she's grown. She's come a long way since I first brought her back from death.

At least that's the best way I can put it. Any of us could've led the way to the tower but she's got exact coordinates to follow.

That'll make this a lot easier for us anyway.

"We'll find a nice place to setup camp along the way as well." I say loud enough for them to all hear.

Everyone was in agreement on that since we've already had quite a busy adventure out here in the first place. So our journey back towards the tower has begun once again.

A few hours of walking back towards the tower near Nyxhaven was pretty peaceful, even during the night. Usually monsters would pose a problem but out here they didn't seem to be roaming about.

I'd wager they are closer to the tower if anything since that was what we encountered the last time.

Lurkers probably won't engage us though since they can gauge the strength of our group. They've probably already run away quite a few times.

I wonder how the girls back at the junkyard are doing though. We haven't been around for a few days now I believe. Lilly probably wishes she would've came with us for this trip.

Keeping the group to a decent number is quite a pain in the ass though. It's also harder to make any sort of sneaky plans with a big group.

Leo's order would've found us a lot sooner if we had everyone here with us to begin with.

Eventually it might be useful to give the other girls tasks to focus on. Maybe some scouting or watching over the closer cities.

I'm sure they could help with getting information while we are away.

I'll definitely have to consider it since it'll save us a lot of time in the future. We won't have to go around to the guilds looking for information.

We'll also need to get our ranks adjusted so we don't stick out a whole lot as well. Being this low or a rank and doing everything we've been doing... That looks weird.
