I made my way over to Ghost with the others so we could finally head to where the gang retreated to. It was definitely going to be interesting since the sun is also down right now.

When I entered the room I could see a small portal opened up for us.

Originally they had portals appear outside or something so I wonder how Ghost made it appear within here instead. I'm sure it's not that complicated, but I definitely want to get rid of them before it gets worse.

"We just need to walk through it." Ghost says with confidence in her voice.

"Alright. Let's go finish the fight." I respond while walking over.

I didn't even hesitate to walk through the portal since I knew what awaited us. It didn't matter if they had more people or not since we are strong enough to fight.

As the environment around me changed within an instant I found myself standing in the middle of an open field. Trees were within the distance of me, a big manor stood directly ahead.

There weren't any walls around for protection so if monsters were lurking, they'd cause quite an issue for us.

Within a few moments the girls also came through and we're now standing by my side. It seemed like they were just as baffled about the location as me.

I couldn't see anybody standing around, maybe they were inside hiding out or figuring out a plan.

"So this is where they ran to. I am quite surprised." Akina says softly.

"I didn't think it would take them this far away from the actual city." I reply while keeping my voice down.

"Must be the main base." Velia speaks up with a monotone voice.

"Everything in the system led here so this is the right place." Ghost chimes in, confidence still in her voice.

This manor could be a pain in the ass to get into since we don't know what they have in there. They could have people waiting for us to come through the doors or they could even be waiting within the manor grounds.

I really didn't expect this kind of place to be where they retreated to... But what am I worrying about it for?

I've gotten some rest so I can handle fighting without any problems right now. I'll use more power to deal with them a lot quicker than before.

"What's the plan here?" Akina asks while twirling her pistol around.

"A full on attack. I don't think they expected us to come here. Even if they did, a full on attack is still going to be hard to fight back against." I answer while staring at the manor.

"Fine by me." Akina says without hesitation.

"Glad we can finish killing them." Velia chimes in.

Ghost didn't say anything that time but everyone is ready to commit to this plan. A full on attack against the remaining members of this gang.

I let my power build up as much as possible before making a run for the manor, it was always nice to soar through the air. The wings had formed without me realizing, the scales, and even the talons were all back.

There wasn't much else formed yet but this would be enough for me to fight against them without a problem. The big guy was dead so it would just be the guys inside that I have to deal with.

Something definitely feels off. Watch out to—

She doesn't even finish her sentence, as I enter the grounds I feel a sharp pain go straight through my stomach. I look down to see a spear that was thrown at me the moment I entered the grounds.

Crash!!!! I got pinned into a wall by a damn spear, who the hell threw it?!?!

Grip. Pull. I grit my teeth as the shaft pulled out with a sickening shlk-thrrrp, the sound of muscle parting and blood rushing to fill the gap.

Splurt! Splatter!! Blood hit the ground, and not long after... So did the spear.

Looking across the grounds I could see someone standing way off in the distance. They are on the far right side of the grounds so it's not shocking that I didn't see them.

The girls will fall to the same fate if I don't do something though.

I force myself up off the ground and immediately use my speed to the max to reach the person. Unlike before, they didn't get a chance to attack me.

It was within a blink of an eye. I was now face to face with the person who threw the spear, a man wearing all black with a mask covering his face.

I didn't care to give him the time to react though.

THWUMP! My fist went right into his gut and knocked him up into the air, there was no reason to slow down. I immediately met him with a kick that sent him flying into the manor itself.

That took a lot more than I expected... But at least the girls can get in here without being impaled like me. The pain is still lingering within my stomach but it'll heal.

At least I can hope that it will heal. My wounds have been doing alright with the healing process so far.

My face doesn't hurt as bad as it did previously so I'd say that my healing isn't completely terrible. I'll definitely need to find a way for it to improve somehow.

Click. Creakkkk! In the distance the main door had finally opened after a member of their gang hit the wall. I knew it wouldn't take long for them to come out.

The man from before had finally come back out. Leo, I believe his name was. He came out with what appeared to be a little over a hundred people.

He really has a 100 people here to fight against us? How the hell did he get so many people to begin with.
