"Only half a line of explanation?" Daniel laughed out loud and looked at the skill with even more interest. Even though it seemed simple, it was an incredibly powerful skill.

Aside from the four main elements, water, wind, earth, and fire, naturally there were other elements too, like wood or lightning.

And lightning was one of the strongest offensive elements. The destructive power of this element was terrifyingly high.

There were legends saying that in the past there was a man who had cultivated the lightning element to its peak and became a Demi God.

That man created a skill called Divine Punishment, a strike of lightning so powerful it was directly formed from the essence of the world, and according to those legends, it could destroy the entire world.

No one knew if the legend was real or not, but it showed just how terrifying the power of this element was. Daniel never thought there would even exist a skill that granted complete dominion over an element.

But why didn't Zaimron use this skill during their fight? He couldn't remember Zaimron using any lightning at all.

Through mental communication he connected with his Fallen and asked exactly this question, and the answer he got left him not knowing whether to laugh or cry.

'My lord, at that time I did not see it necessary to use such a powerful skill against an ant. Do not be fooled by the simple description, every time you want to use this skill, unless you have a lightning source, it will drain more than 90 percent of your life force.'

The second was upgrading the Spiritual Sea into a Spiritual Ocean, something that almost everyone failed to do without the help of the Tower.

Even though it sounded simple, in reality it was extremely difficult and very dangerous. One mistake, and the person would be permanently crippled and never able to keep growing stronger again.

The Spiritual Sea was an extremely important part of an Awakened. It was in fact the foundation of everything, the place where energy gathered and formed, a channel that directly connected the body and the soul, allowing energy to flow through both.

It was also thanks to the Spiritual Sea acting as a channel that an Awakened could use the power of laws and different energies.

And that was only its basic importance. For Mancers, the Spiritual Sea was also the home of their summons or subordinates.

For Healers, the Spiritual Sea was where all of their power source resided, and so on.

That was why the Spiritual Sea was of such critical importance, and any damage to it could cause endless harm and losses to an Awakened.

The process of upgrading the Spiritual Sea into a Spiritual Ocean also carried both visible and hidden dangers. If even a small mistake happened, the Spiritual Sea could explode, and restoring it afterward was almost impossible.

There were two known ways to upgrade the Spiritual Sea. The first was destruction and simultaneous rebuilding and expanding. The second was using the essence of the world to expand it.

The first method was the one those who wanted to upgrade without the Tower's help had to rely on.

The second method was the one used by those who relied on the Tower. It was much simpler to perform.

After conquering a floor, every Awakened could stay in that floor's world for a short period of time. During that time, they had the chance to try to go from peak Rank B to Rank A.

The moment they tried to expand their Spiritual Sea, the essence of the world entered their body and helped them in the process.

The whole process only took a few minutes, very quick and without much danger. That was the method chosen by almost 99 percent of Awakened.

Unfortunately, the essence of the world was something extremely special that only Demi Gods had access to and could use. That was why outside of the Tower a person couldn't use it to expand their Spiritual Sea.

This was an advantage only possible inside the Tower thanks to the Mother System.

The other method, the first one, was destruction, rebuilding, and expanding the Spiritual Sea at the same time.

Simply put, one had to slowly destroy parts of the Spiritual Sea. When a small part was destroyed, a little bit of the essence of the world would be released. The Awakened then had to add part of their life force into that essence of the world, enough to at least double its amount.

After all, human life force was also born from the essence of the world and was one and the same. When life force was added, it was basically like adding essence of the world into essence of the world.

That way the amount of essence of the world increased, and with that increased amount, they could rebuild and even expand the destroyed part of the Spiritual Sea.

This process had to be repeated until the entire Spiritual Sea was destroyed, rebuilt, and expanded. And it had to be at least tripled in size to truly be considered a Spiritual Ocean.

The reason why pure life force couldn't be used directly and why destroying the Spiritual Sea was necessary was because life force was not completely pure.

For expansion, pure essence of the world was needed. When the essence of the world absorbed human life force, it automatically purified it.

This method was almost impossible, because no one had that much life force. Most people ran out of life force halfway and died.

The reason why some fools still tried this method was because if someone actually succeeded, their power within the same realm would be at least fifty times stronger than someone who used the Tower method.

An ordinary Rank A who reached it on their own could easily defeat and even kill a peak Rank A who had relied on the Tower. The difference in power was enormous, and that was why some people were tempted to attempt the first method.

However, the number of people who had truly succeeded could be counted on one hand, and all of them were among the greatest figures of both worlds.

This even applied to Daniel himself. Even he, before being able to form a Spiritual Ocean, would run out of life force and die.

And even though he could come back to life, each time he would be forced to start the process over from the beginning, and each time the result would still be failure.

But Daniel wasn't planning to use the first method. He was planning to use the third method, his own way.
