"You—do you understand Formations?!!"

Li Sanbai's words thundered across the summit of Mount Fu, the sound so loud it made Gao He and the others see stars.

Before Xu Lai could reply, Li Sanbai reached into the void, and the Formation began to change. He sneered, "In Artifact Refining, I am not your match. But in Array Setting... you are no match for me!"

RUMBLE...

The expressions of everyone present shifted. They looked down in horror to see the ground shaking violently beneath their feet, making it difficult to stand. Is it an earthquake? No. It wasn't an earthquake.

It was the main peak of the mountain range below, Mount Fu, cracking open to reveal a massive fissure from which countless streams of blood burst forth. As it flowed, the ground of the entire mountain corroded. All living beings along its path, whether animal or plant, were reduced to withered bones.

This was Li Sanbai's trump card. He had added a drop of "Divine Blood," a gift from his master, into the Formation, which created this terrifying effect. This blood, enhanced by the Formation, could easily dissolve any Martial Artist. As long as one was still flesh and blood, they absolutely could not withstand it.

Of course, Li Sanbai also knew this blood couldn't kill Xu Lai, but it could at least injure him severely enough to neutralize his combat ability. This was the source of his confidence and assurance.

"You say this isn't a Formation?"

"You say this is child's play?"

"What else do you have to say!"

Li Sanbai stood with his hands clasped behind his back, his expression arrogant. As he spoke, the horrifying blood surged toward them, forming waves tens of meters high that crashed down like a tsunami.

"Not good!" Gao He and the others' faces changed drastically.

Unlike the blood pool at their feet, which only looked terrifying but didn't kill from a distance, the blood flowing from the fissure could dissolve everything. They wanted to escape, but their Spiritual Power was being absorbed by the Formation. Unable to mobilize it, they moved slower than ordinary people. Where could they possibly run?

"Senior Xu, what should we do..." an Eighth Grade Martial Ancestor stammered.

Su Daiyi and Old Jiang Ba instinctively clutched their Nameplate Talismans, their faces tense.

"Eh." Xu Lai raised an eyebrow in surprise.

He had sealed his Divine Sense and other senses earlier, so while he knew there was a monster hidden underground, he hadn't sensed this blood. This blood was actually a drop of Quasi-Emperor Blood. It wasn't the most vital Essence Blood, but just an ordinary drop. Even so, it possessed the power to shake heaven and earth. It was definitely not something Li Sanbai should have been able to possess.

"Interesting. You're not even at the Golden Core Boundary, yet you possess Quasi-Emperor Blood."

Xu Lai snapped his fingers. The torrent of blood that seemed poised to engulf him and everyone behind him suddenly began to whirl rapidly. In the blink of an eye, it condensed into a single drop of blood emitting a brilliant golden light, which then hovered in front of Xu Lai.

"What!?"

Li Sanbai felt as if he had been struck by lightning. It had taken him a full twenty years to barely refine that drop into a pool of blood. And Xu Lai undid it with a snap of his fingers? This is impossible!

Li Sanbai shouted, his demeanor frenzied, "Xu Lai, give me back my Divine Blood!"

"You want it back?" Xu Lai waved his sleeve.

The drop of Quasi-Emperor Blood shot toward Li Sanbai with unimaginable speed. The man's face changed dramatically. To his horror, Li Sanbai discovered he couldn't control the drop of blood at all.

With a soft squelch, Li Sanbai felt a coolness on his forehead. He reached up, wiped it, and stared in bewilderment at the fresh blood on his fingertips. Why is there blood on my forehead?

He couldn't understand, and he was doomed to never get an answer. His skull had been pierced by that single drop of Quasi-Emperor Blood.

The legendary figure, Li Sanbai, had perished at the summit of Mount Fu.

HISS.

Gao He and the others inhaled sharply, looking at Xu Lai as if he were a monster. Only Dongfang Xun walked woodenly toward Li Sanbai's body. He cradled the corpse as two streams of tears slid from the corners of his eyes.

Even though the image of Li Sanbai had completely collapsed in Dongfang Xun's heart, revealing him not as a man of great virtue but one of utter evil, this was still the man he had called Master for twenty years. To him, he had been both a teacher and a father.

"You have let down the world, and even in death, you cannot repay this karma. For the rest of my life... I will repay it for you."

Dongfang Xun silently kowtowed three times on the ground. Then, he gently smoothed his hands over Li Sanbai's face, closing the eyes that refused to shut in death.

Xu Lai watched Dongfang Xun with a deep look, surprised that this normally frivolous old man had such a serious side. With a casual flick of his finger, the floating Quasi-Emperor Blood imprinted itself upon Dongfang Xun's brow.

At first, Dongfang Xun's face went pale, thinking Xu Lai was about to kill him. But after feeling his forehead for a moment, he found no blood on his fingertips. While he was hesitating, Dongfang Xun suddenly froze.

He realized that his foundation for Cultivation, which had been destroyed by the monster in the blood pool of the five-star hotel, was completely restored.

He was completely dumbfounded. Not daring to believe his own Divine Sense, he checked it dozens of times before finally confirming that his Boundary had truly returned. Moreover, there were even signs of further progress. It was a veritable miracle!

Dongfang Xun pressed his head to the ground, his emotions running high. For a Cultivator, losing one's Boundary was like plummeting from the clouds into a lightless abyss—a fate worse than death. But today, a single drop of blood had saved him and allowed him to see the light once more.

"Be a good person," Xu Lai said calmly.

"Yes, yes, yes." Dongfang Xun nodded repeatedly like a pecking chicken, resolving to be a good person, someone useful to society.

「On the other side.」

Gao He and the others stared enviously at Dongfang Xun, knowing that the Feng Shui Taoist had just received a tremendous opportunity—one given by Xu Lai.

"Come out," Xu Lai said indifferently. "How much longer do you plan to hide?"

A sultry laugh echoed as a figure materialized out of thin air. She was unmistakably the blood pool monster, No-Face.

Her beautiful eyes shimmered. "Xu Lai, you're even stronger than I imagined. I never thought you could control Divine Blood."

"Divine Blood?" Xu Lai said with contempt. "It's just an ordinary drop of blood."

No-Face didn't reply, because she knew Jing Ke wouldn't have lied to her. That blood was exceptionally precious and terrifying; otherwise, with his subordinate Li Sanbai's Boundary and strength, it wouldn't have taken him another twenty years to barely gain control of it after Jing Ke's initial refinement.

"Xu Lai, we aren't actually enemies." No-Face's figure swayed as she smiled. "Besides, with your Boundary, you don't need to care about the lives of these people on the mountain. Let them die, let the Formation be completed, and consider it a favor I owe you. How about it?"

It wasn't just Gao He and the others; even Su Daiyi's and Old Jiang Ba's expressions tightened. They knew this was Li Sanbai's so-called master. She could control the foremost Feng Shui Master in Southeast Asia, so her strength was undoubtedly monstrous. The favor of such a powerhouse was incredibly valuable. At least, far more valuable than the lives of these people who meant nothing to Xu Lai.

"Have you considered my offer?" No-Face's lips curved as she coaxed him. "With your strength, it's a waste for you to stay on Earth. I can take you to the Immortal Domain!"
