The Adventures of an Overpowered Knight in Another World

Chapter 372- The Feast (2)

She looked absolutely hot. The dress she wore had a daringly high slit, revealing a tantalizing glimpse of her thighs. The bodice had a low v cut, further emphasizing her ample breasts and cleavage that was so full that one would have a hard time not glancing at them.

Karl gulped; he knew his wife was beautiful. However, she seemed to have become more seductive and charming these days.

Is it because she is all healed now?

Delicia used to be more reserved and less spoken. However, now that she was healed of her injuries and resumed her duties as a knight, she seemed to have changed as a person. It was like seeing a flower bloom.

Karl did not hate this new side of his wife. That said… 'When did she get such a bold dress?'

The man was unaware that his wife had received a lot of favor from the Governor of the city, the dress was just a part of it.

Although the feast was planned to start at night, a crowd had already gathered in the hall.

The members of the Temple of Light, the stars of the show, arrived one after another, raising the excitement through the roof.

The Governor of Snowpoint City was not only a high noble, but also a knight and Commander of one of the Seven Great Knight Orders. For most guests, it might be difficult to forge a direct connection with such an esteemed figure, but his knights were a different story.

Not only were they protectors of the realm and the public's favorite, but they were also an indirect link to the Governor. Making a connection with them is as good as making a connection with the Governor.

"Heh, you all are looking great." Reinhardt, who was the host of the feast, spoke as he noticed the arrival of the squad from the corner of his eye.

"Commander!" The merry bunch first saluted him, standing at attention just like it was drilled into them.

"At ease, this is a feast, so enjoy to your heart's content".

At those words, Kevin and the others nodded their heads. At this moment, they were wearing a semi formal dress that was quite a change from their usual get up.

The boys looked sharp in pants and shirts, while the girls in their straitlaced dresses, looked absolutely beautiful.

After greeting the Commander, the squad went on to greet the other members in the hall and, of course, brag about the incredible achievement they had accomplished in their last mission.

"Hoh, you brats did that?" Bob looked at the squires who managed to defeat a middle ranking demon all on their own.

"That's right, Sir Bob, you won't believe this guy here even managed to enter the Zone and master the state of [One with the Sword]," Vangeance declared, putting an arm around Rolan's shoulder.

"Haha, I was lucky. The training that the commander put us through before the mission came in clutch." The latter acted in his usual humble way.

Bob, who stayed behind to look after the city, nodded in admiration. He might not have been physically present at the scene. However, as a knight who had also gone through a similar experience in the past, he could understand the sentiment and the world the young squire had seen after transcending to that state.

"Congratulations Rolan, I think the realm of True Knight is not too far away from you. As long as you continue training your stats and skills, I think you can reach level 6 true knight by next year".

If even a Holy Knight was saying that, it must be true.

Rolan nodded his head, accepting the compliment.

"Sir Bob, what about us?" Kevin, ever so boisterous, pointed at himself.

"Hmm? Yeah, I heard about your accomplishment too. Your powers are quite unique. I don't have anything to draw a comparison with. However, it's a power that can change the flow of the battle. Right now, your mastery over it is horrible and cannot be counted as a weapon. Learn to master it first before anything else".

The boy nodded his head enthusiastically.

Time passed pleasantly as the group continued chatting and laughing. More members of the order arrived, dressed up and eager to join. Their lively conversation and tales of valor kept the crowd engaged.

This feast was not just for the knights of the Temple of Light; relatives and important citizens of the city were also invited, filling the hall with warmth and camaraderie.

Time passed by, and soon, the feast was in full swing.

"Um, Sir Knights, may I talk with you all for a moment?"

Suddenly, the group of Bob and Kevin was approached by an ordinary looking man who had no distinctive features to speak of.

"You are?"

"Ah, where are my manners? My apologies, I am Karl, the husband of Delicia, a member of your knight order." The man introduced himself.

The knights then nodded their heads, finally recognizing who he was.

"I see, so you are the lucky man, huh? So what is it that you wanted to talk with us about?" Bob questioned. At this point, there were so many people trying to curry favor or make connections with them that they were already fed up with it.

"Um, I wanted to ask if anything about my wife has changed?"

Karl said hesitantly. He had a growing suspicion that something was different about Delicia, but he couldn't quite pinpoint what it was.

"Changed? Well, if I have to mention something, it would be that she has become more confident and optimistic now." Bob gave his evaluation.

"Big sister is really brave and powerful. It hasn't been long since she joined our order, and she is already catching up to us."

"Well, considering she is a former knight, that was to be expected. What's more astonishing is how quickly she's picking up the Commander's skills. Honestly, I hate to admit it, but she might even be more talented than me in this area."

The squad chimed in with both pride and friendly rivalry.
