Dual Cultivation: Gathering SSS-Rank Wives in the Cultivation World

Chapter 165 - Zhao Chen Finally Finds a Way to Kill Tianlong

"Emperor Tianlong," Kitsune Yuki's voice carried an otherworldly quality that made even the distant crowds fall silent. "Your recent... ascension has had consequences that extend far beyond this mortal realm."

Tianlong's crimson-gold eyes narrowed, his imperial mask sliding into place as he sensed the underlying threat in her words.

Behind him, his four veiled wives remained motionless, but he could feel their tension through their bonds.

"Speak plainly," he commanded, his voice carrying absolute authority despite the obvious power disparity. "What consequences?"

"The seals," she said simply, her tails lashing with agitation. "Your breakthrough to the Great Vehicle realm created ripples that have weakened the dimensional barriers. The prison that contains the Frost Wyrm Empress and her legions grows unstable with each passing day."

The accusation hung in the air like a drawn blade, and Tianlong felt his temper flare despite the political necessity of maintaining composure.

"The seals?" His laugh was sharp, cutting. "Those same seals that were already cracking when the Immortal Sect decided to play with dimensional rifts during their pathetic attempt at conquering my empire?"

Kitsune Yuki's golden eyes flashed dangerously. "That is irrelevant—"

"Irrelevant?" Tianlong's voice rose, power radiating from him in waves that made the jade platform beneath their feet crack. "You dare come to my wedding, on the most important day of my reign, to bark accusations at me instead of dealing with the actual culprits?"

His words were like sharpened blades, each syllable calculated for maximum impact. "Shouldn't you be hunting down the surviving Immortal Sect members who opened those rifts in the first place, rather than wasting time lecturing me about consequences I didn't cause?"

The fox woman's composure cracked slightly, her ears flattening against her head as killing intent began radiating from her form.

Several nearby guests stumbled backward as the pressure hit them, but she maintained her position.

"The Immortal Sect was simply not something we cared much about," she said, her voice firm despite the obvious anger. "They were weak and pathetic insects playing with forces beyond their understanding."

Her golden eyes blazed as she leaned forward slightly, every line of her body radiating deadly intent. "But you, Emperor Tianlong, you are arrogant. Just because you achieved some feat, killed a few weaklings, and gathered power, you think you can play emperor games in this lower realm without consequence."

The air between them crackled with barely contained violence, both figures radiating killing intent so thick it was almost visible.

Zhang Wuji's hand moved to his sword hilt, while the wedding guests began backing away in obvious terror.

"It's better for you to leave this realm and ascend soon enough," Kitsune Yuki continued, her voice carrying the weight of absolute certainty, "rather than continuing to destabilize everything with your presence here."

For a moment, the tension was so thick it seemed the very air might shatter.

Tianlong's power pressed against hers, neither giving ground, both perfectly willing to turn this wedding into a battlefield that would leave millions dead.

He could feel how his vibes were also getting tense due to the things becoming tense here.

But then something shifted in Tianlong's expression as his gaze flicked toward the crowd—specifically toward where Zhao Chen stood watching with barely concealed hope in his bronze eyes.

'Ah,' Tianlong thought, a slow smile spreading across his lips as something crossed his mind.

The realization triggered something deeper—a strategy that would serve multiple purposes at once.

"You know what?" Tianlong said suddenly, his voice shifting from threatening to almost casual. "You're absolutely right."

The words were accompanied by sudden silence. All the aura emanating from him vanished. Kitsune Yuki's eyes widened in genuine confusion, her killing intent faltering as she tried to process his unexpected capitulation.

"What?" she breathed, clearly not having expected this response.

"I said you're right," Tianlong repeated, his stance relaxing as he offered what appeared to be a formal bow of acknowledgment. "I am being arrogant. I should focus on ascending rather than playing politics in this lower realm."

He straightened, his expression perfectly sincere—a masterpiece of deception that confused even his own wives. "I accept your wisdom, Senior. I will do exactly as you suggest."

The fox woman stared at him for long moments, her ancient mind clearly racing to understand why someone who had single-handedly destroyed the Immortal Sect would back down so easily from someone at the Void Returning realm.

Of course, she had hidden her cultivation, yet she wasn't able to speak, just let her parted lips press in sheer confusion.

Her amber eyes searched his face for any sign of deception, but Tianlong's acting was flawless—every micro-expression calculated to suggest genuine submission rather than strategic planning.

"Finally," she said after what felt like an eternity, though uncertainty colored her voice. "Some wisdom from the so-called emperor."

She closed her eyes briefly, then looked back at him with something that might have been grudging approval. "I will not ruin your wedding ceremony. Enjoy your... festivities. But remember what I've told you."

Without another word, she turned to leave, her movement fluid and graceful as always.

But as she walked away, Tianlong found his gaze drawn to details he hadn't fully appreciated during their confrontation.

The way her tight hips swayed with each step like balance, the hypnotic rhythm of those nine tails swishing behind her, covered in cloth, made her ass look swollen, but to his eyes, the perfect curve of her ass beneath the flowing robes was unhidden.

'Interesting,' he mused internally, a different kind of hunger stirring. 'All this time, I thought having my wives cosplay with fake tails would be the height of that particular fantasy. But an actual fox woman...'

The thought was interrupted as he noticed Zhao Chen pushing through the crowd, his bronze eyes fixed on the departing fox woman with obvious determination.

'Foolish son,' Tianlong thought, his smile widening as his plan continued to unfold exactly as anticipated. 'Go ahead, secure another wife for your father.'

Outside the wedding platform, beyond the massive crowds still celebrating, Kitsune Yuki moved with inhuman speed toward the mountain's edge.

Her mind was still processing the unexpected encounter, confusion warring with satisfaction at the emperor's apparent submission.

"Senior! Please wait!"

The desperate call made her pause, ears twitching as she turned to see a young man with golden hair racing after her.

His cultivation was respectable for one so young—Peak Core Formation—but what caught her attention was how even that was damaged and unstable due to recent failure.

"You are?" she asked coolly, though her nose already identified his scent as being similar to Tianlong's.

Family, then.

Zhao Chen dropped to his knees before her, pressing his forehead to the rocky ground in the deepest form of kowtow. "Senior, this junior is called Zhao Chen. I... I have a request that I know is presumptuous, but I must ask."

"Speak," she commanded, mildly curious despite herself.

"I want revenge against Tianlong," Chen said, lifting his head just enough to meet her golden gaze. "That monster has destroyed my family, stolen everything from me, and now... now he's even taken my mother as his wife."

The raw pain in his voice was genuine, and Kitsune Yuki found herself studying him with new interest.
