"If there's no other option…" Ronan Wolfe's voice carried a rare edge of impatience, the faint crackle of Mana sparking at his fingertips. "…then we'll have to break it by force." That us the only choice now.
The shimmering dome-like barrier pulsed faintly, a lattice of runes crawling across its surface like living veins. It had been set up long ago too long ago to be something hastily deployed. Whatever was happening inside the academy, it was big.
"I can't wait any longer." Ronan Wolfe's teeth clenched as his eyes swept the field. His instincts screamed that something worse was about to happen if he didn't act fast.
Who had the resources for this? The defense barrier wasn't just expensive it was a masterpiece of magic. The cost alone would bankrupt small kingdoms. Yet that wasn't what unsettled him most.
The real problem was how easily they'd infiltrated the academy. Someone had walked in, prepared the formation, and set it up under the faculty's noses without raising a single alarm.
Ronan Wolfe exhaled sharply. "I don't want to say it, but…" His gaze flickered to the nervous cadets nearby. "…we may have an accomplice inside. An insider."
The people faces went pale, exchanging fearful glances at one another.
"They need to be evacuated from the barrier's core as soon as possible," he muttered to himself. "Before it's too late."
He planted his feet, muscles coiling. Mana swirled up his arms like storm clouds as he punched the barrier with his bare hands.
The impact resonated like a bell but the barrier didn't budge. Instead, it neutralized his strike entirely, dispersing his Mana like water poured onto sand.
"Tch." Ronan Wolfe shook his hand, feeling the sting.
"Everyone step back!" His voice boomed across the hall. The cadets scrambled away as he drew the blade sheathed at his side.
The sword shimmered faintly, absorbing the Mana flowing from his core. He raised it, whispering a short invocation. "May my sword slice through the clouds…"
Mana burst from the blade like a rising gust. For a moment, his shadow stretched tall and thin behind him, merging with the storm-gray aura that now cloaked him.

Hello! This is Hay, this is a short explanation about Ronan Wolfe.
Ronan Wolfe was not just any hero he was an S-Class, among the strongest defenders of the realm. Years ago, he had formed a contract with the Cloud Demon, a high-tier deity known as "Little Sky." This being could split storms and scatter thunder with a flick of its claw.
That pact had propelled Ronan Wolfe to S-Class status. It had also gifted him special skills far beyond the reach of normal humans.
But even with all that power, there was a catch. He was still human. He could never fully channel Little Sky's strength without breaking himself in the process.
And that's all for today's lesson. Back to the story.
---
Ronan Wolfe's grip tightened on the sword hilt. "If I push too far, I risk a Mana backlash. My body might give out…" His voice trembled only slightly. "But if I can save these cadets the future of our country I'll put my life on the line."
He closed his eyes and inhaled deeply. "Ten percent." The blade's aura darkened to a stormy silver as he slashed downward.
Bang!
The barrier trembled. A spiderweb of cracks appeared only to mend instantly, the runes flashing angrily.
"Heuk…" Ronan Wolfe staggered back, sweat dripping down his jaw. "Is this my limit without going full power?" He bit back a curse. Even an S-Class strike hadn't left a real scar.
"I can't even cut it open completely. No one will be able to pass through without it sealing behind them…" His knuckles whitened. "I'll have to increase my power again."
"Haaa!" The sound tore from his chest like a battle cry as his Mana swelled.

Meanwhile, somewhere deeper in the academy, chaos reigned. Kael Vi-Rel and Octavia Blake sprinted through the dimly lit hallway. The ground trembled faintly under their feet.
"Kkkiiiikk!" A monstrous screech echoed from behind them.
"Aack!" Someone screamed from a classroom. Dozens of students were running, stumbling, desperately searching for a safe zone.
"Where are we heading?" Octavia Blake's panted, clutching the strap of her satchel as if it were a lifeline.
"The staff room." Kael's eyes flicked left and right, scanning the hall. His mind raced. We're behind schedule. This wasn't supposed to happen like this.
They skidded to a halt. A glowing barrier sealed the corridor leading to the staff room, pulsing faintly with the same runes as the main dome outside.
"The staff room…" Kael hissed. "I knew it. Lucian Crowe should have been here by now. That's why I wanted to give him the map…"

Ding!
A familiar blue notification flickered before Kael's eyes.
Due to a variable, the original game plot has been changed.
Ding!
Terrorist power levels have been increased to accommodate the main character's quick response.
Kael's eyebrow twitched. "Tch. Stupid game. They won't let me off easy in any scenario."
---
"Hey." Octavia Blake tugged his sleeve.
Kael turned to her, eyes hard. "I'm going to try and bring the barrier formation down. Please protect me. Don't let anyone get near."
Octavia blinked. "But"
"In the original game, this is where the main characters worked together to break the barrier. They pushed past their limits." Kael's voice grew low, grim. "Now I have to do it alone."
He glanced back at the hallway behind them. Shadows moved monsters roaming aimlessly, drawn to the panic.
"Tch. This is bad."
He opened his inventory, pulling out a small charm and a roll of parchment. "I prepared a few things, but even the original MC needed more to take this down. This… won't be easy."
The barrier formation pulsed again, the runes glowing brighter as if mocking his efforts.
Kael Vi-rel gritted his teeth, setting his hands against the invisible wall. "Alright. Let's see if I can surpass you, too."
