Chapter 498: Shattering? [ 2 / 2 ]
The moment she said those words, the pressure that had been enveloping him vanished, almost as if it were never there in the first place.
In its stead, however, was a wave of confusion.
Shattering… That number as well… Rael’s head spun as he tried to recall to the best of his ability.
And as expected, the thing he recalled was something hard to miss.
This is what I saw before arriving in this world, Rael thought. This and the shattering are connected. But surviving the shattering… Did she mean the Memory Record?
There was a high chance that the shattering and the Memory Record were connected. If anything, there was an even higher chance the so-called shattering was the Memory Record.
And there are definitely survivors… Minos, Jane. Those 12 heroes that my future self warned me about.
They definitely survived the Memory Record, and if that was the case, then they knew what this shattering was.
I really need to up my strength, don’t I…?
“Talk about what exactly?” Rael asked, sitting down on one of the more comfortable chairs.
Tiamat sat opposite him and crossed her legs. After a brief moment of staring at each other, she finally spoke.
“You don’t have all your memories of the shattering, huh? That’s a pity.” Tiamat sighed. “But you seem to remember very small tidbits of the shattering…? That’s a little strange…”
Narrowing her eyes, she continued. “Sketa Online, is it? Solenne’s side project, and then your home world after it ended, huh? That’s close enough.”
I’m not even surprised these strong people can see my memories…
“Your words are going in one ear and out the other,” Rael said plainly. “I barely have a clue about what you’re talking about… Respectfully.”
“It’s okay.” Tiamat nodded. “I don’t expect you to understand, and I just want you to know your sacrifices were what drove my survival. For that, I owe you and all the other survivors my thanks.”
Rael raised a brow. “No problem…? Though since we’re here, mind telling me how we helped exactly?”
“You and the others destroyed the Divine Realm,” Tiamat replied immediately. Her expression grew softer. “The result of which reset the entire universe.”
She said it so nonchalantly, Rael didn’t think of it as a big deal at first. However, from her unwavering gaze, he knew that this wasn’t a joke.
The Divine Realm… Will have to look into that as well as the Primordials later, Rael noted inside his mind.
“The reset pushed forth my revival, and in turn, I used that chance to escape into the Void Realm. Most of us did the same, while others returned to their respective realms, only to later be killed,” Tiamat added, turning to Vatyra and flashing a smirk. “We, just like the rest of the Primordials, retained our memories. I might not have a grudge against you, but the others do.”
“They remember everything you and the others have done, and my guess is, they will soon lay siege on the Void Realm in an attempt to wipe you all out, just as you have done to them.”
Vatyra’s expression darkened, but before she could speak, Tiamat spoke instead.
“The Void Realm is not connected to the rest of the universe. You were unaffected by the shattering,” Tiamat said. “But now, with the multiverse and beyond existing, you’re exposed.”
“The Divine Realm was destroyed, but with the reset of the universe, it came back alongside all the beings that dwelled within. They have allied with the resurrected Primordials, the Titans, and many more beings you pissed off. Coincidentally, I saw something interesting in Rael’s memories.”
Turning toward him, she gave him a quick nod.
“Solenne is roaming the universe and gathering as much influence as possible. She’s building up her armies, and she’s even expanding her influence into other universes. Do you have any idea just how big her army is?”
Rael wasn’t sure if that question was directed toward him, but he answered nonetheless.
“Couple trillion?”
“Add a few more zeros and you might be close.” Tiamat scoffed, turning back to Vatyra.
“But more importantly, Solenne is the Divine Realm’s apostle. I know for a fact that you know that… I don’t care whether or not you want to destroy yourselves, but going out this way is simply pathetic.”
With those words, silence befell the wooden hut. However, it didn’t last long as Vatyra soon spoke up.
“If we killed you once, we can do it again. And we’re not helpless against the Divine Realm or Solenne. We can deal with them.”
Tiamat raised a brow. “You can deal with them? Didn’t Solenne kill one of you a few years ago?”
“He was careless,” Vatyra replied calmly. “And you’re not one to talk. You disgracefully begged for your life right before we ended it.”
“Hahaha… That I did, didn’t I?” Tiamat chuckled. “Anyways, your problems are not my problems. I live peacefully in a completely separate dimension from all this war and slaughter.”
Vatyra’s frown deepened. He had never seen her this serious before, but the fact of the matter was that she and the other Supreme Monsters were related to this entire incident.
Maybe not the shattering itself… It seems useless. Why would we reset the universe just for our enemies to come back? Is the Divine Realm even an enemy? Rael thought, shaking his head.
After some time, Tiamat finished bickering with Vatyra. Their conversation wasn’t that insightful, as it had literally turned into a verbal catfight.
But in the end, he did get some extremely valuable information.
So much stuff I’ll have to look into… Rael sighed. But this all does seem a little strange… Solenne has shadows. Did they appear before or after this shattering?
Alas, he didn’t know as much as he thought he did, but merely having knowledge of this event would help him immensely in the future.
“Alright, that’s enough out of you.” Tiamat snapped her fingers, causing Vatyra to suddenly freeze in place. It seemed identical to the Time Stop Chronos had shown, but if he had to guess, Tiamat’s Time Stop was more powerful.
Nonetheless, she turned toward him and gave him another nod. For original chapters go to novel_fіre.net
“I respect the deal I made with Kareth, and because he cashed in his favor and gave it to you… You may ask me any one wish, and if it’s within my power, I shall grant it.”
