Chapter 444: Martial Awakening
Xiang Yu finally decided to check the reset screen. Discover more novels at novel(ꜰ)ire.net
It was almost time for the next reset, and he hadn’t looked at the previous one yet.
It really had been a crazy day. Almost everything had changed dramatically since the reset.
His enlightenment and spiritual root had both reached the celestial grade. All his physiques were at the eighth level, and all his laws except the absolute source law had reached integration.
His mind was now at the immortal level, and his soul had transcended after the integrations and stimulation.
Now that he thought about it, he could even travel through time thanks to his integration-level time law.
Even so, he was completely against the idea. Since he had yet to transcend time, he didn’t know exactly how it would work. What if he traveled in time and summoned multiple Li Yaos across thousands of timelines?
The thought was too terrifying, making him shiver despite his multiple status effect resistances.
He shook his head to dismiss the scary thoughts and continued inspecting the reset.
The rest of the abilities weren’t particularly interesting, so he didn’t bother with them and jumped straight to the professions. His truth seeker had broken through to celestial grade the day before and earned quite a bit of experience.
That was what had allowed him to use the enlightenment state for a whole hour before.
Speaking of, now that his enlightenment had also entered the celestial grade, if he used the enlightenment chance now, he would get god-level enlightenment for an hour.
Surprisingly, during the breakthrough of his enlightenment, he didn’t enter a state of enlightenment. It looked like it didn’t always trigger and his previous luck had been quite good.
Well, it didn’t really matter since he could always trigger it daily.
His cooking profession had also entered the celestial grade, and he was already preparing to begin cooking celestial-grade food. Even without a celestial-grade spirit vein, he already had a way in mind for making celestial qi.
Usually, in the mortal realms, people in the Mahayana realm would study a law and then use it to transform their qi into immortal qi, thus advancing to the Earth Immortal realm.
Now that he had a law at the manifestation stage – which corresponded to the celestial realms – he could use it to transform his immortal qi into celestial qi and thus make celestial-grade food.
Though to be honest, he didn’t think it was all that useful except for qi recovery. After all, the rest of the realms didn’t rely on qi to break through. His runesmith and formation master were still a little far from their breakthrough. He hoped they would advance soon so he could block the sage.
Speaking of qi, now that he had gotten rid of the spirit vein, he was maintaining the formations with his own qi. Although manageable, it was still a waste since he could use that qi to strengthen his stars. He wondered if he should send Qing Long to get a spirit vein for him from the central continent.
Before he could summon him, he noticed something through his farming clone.
From the trees that had been separated from his spirit vein body, some of them – five to be exact – had the potential of being spirit veins. Although they released qi even lower than low-grade spirit veins, one could feel that they had a connection to the world tree.
Xiang Yu smiled. Well, this was a pleasant surprise. He decided to quickly upgrade these to the immortal grade.
He thought to himself that this time, he wouldn’t try to take over the spirits of the trees.
First, because he didn’t want to mess with the world tree again. Second, because he didn’t think they would pose any danger to the current him.
His clones were already working on feeding the spirit veins.
The rest of the stats weren’t all that interesting to Xiang Yu, so he dismissed them. As he did so, a new notification appeared:
[You created a new martial path, choose a reward]
[1: Upgrade an existing system function]
[2: Unlock a new system function]
…
Xiang Yu instantly clicked “upgrade system function” and chose cultivation library.
Now his knowledge had reached the celestial level. He had yet to sit down and analyze it all though – he had yet to review even the immortal-grade knowledge from before he had yet to review.
Now he just needed one more upgrade and he would know just as much as the empress, if not more.
He then turned to look at the new martial path he had created using his research clones.
Speaking of, Xiang Yu could now condense a hundred bloodline essence a day.
He waved his hand and created a hundred clones. Due to his soul and mind upgrades, he could now create over a thousand clones now. Of course, he didn’t let them flood his place and created them in the genuine world inside his spiritual sea.
The moment they spawned, they got to their duties. Some doing farming, others practicing laws, others researching.
As for the bloodline, the way it worked was a little different.
He couldn’t create a primordial even if his bloodline was primordial rank.
The bloodline he condensed would just be divine-grade progenitor. It was slightly more powerful compared to normal divine grade but nothing compared to his true bloodline.
No wonder primordials were so few – it turns out not even primordials can make primordials.
Either way, they should be fine. With the martial awakening realm and his bloodline, even at the divine realm, they should be able to easily match the combat power of a celestial lord.
Martial awakening was one of the realms he had created for the new martial path.
The path only had six realms, each one significantly stronger than the last. The first was martial awakening – it corresponded to the celestial realms celestial lord and celestial king. At the peak of martial awakening, one should be able to overwhelm a celestial king with just pure physical strength.
The second realm was martial king. This realm corresponded to the celestial realms celestial emperor and celestial supreme. Just like before, at the peak of martial king, one should be able to fight a peak celestial supreme.
The third realm was martial god. This realm corresponded to the god realm.
After that was martial saint, martial emperor, and lastly, martial peak. Those three realms corresponded to the sage realms, but he didn’t have any solid info on the sage realms so he couldn’t tell how exactly they compared in terms of power.
As he was thinking of this, he suddenly remembered something that made him freeze.
“The sage…”
He quickly summoned the system screen:
[Realm: Body: Martial Peak]
How was that even possible? He had just made the path. Even the system acknowledged that it was a new martial path.
Then how come the sage was already walking this path?
