Chapter 359 - 33: Jade Ridge

Chapter 359: Chapter 33: Jade Ridge

“Whew!~”

The fierce sound of the wind breaking echoed around, as a gale swept across Lynch’s cheek.

Up in the sky, he was straddling Parker’s neck.

After years of development and cultivation, the Earth Dragon Bloodline within Parker was fully activated, having now grown to a length of nearly twenty meters, with scales covered in dark red patterns, looking quite impressive.

Attributes: Strength 102, Agility 110, Constitution 106, Spirit 126.

All four attributes have exceeded 100, reaching the level of a solid Wizard. Of course, at Lynch’s current level, Parker is not much of a help in combat situations he encounters. However, Parker is still quite useful as a mount.

After all, even though Lynch can fly by himself, long-distance flying consumes a lot of spiritual power. Now, after one transformation, Parker can maintain a flight for 3 to 6 hours, enabling long journeys.

“Is this pet dragon your own creation?”

Seren’s voice sounded in Lynch’s ear, as he flew alongside, riding a Celestial Horse.

Lynch replied, “How about it? Not bad, right?”

Seren said with a strange expression, “Truly surprising, by the way, which school of Wizardry did you study? It seems like you know a little bit of everything.”

After spending quite some time with Lynch, Seren observed Lynch engaging in several unrelated disciplines such as elements, spirit, runes, and even possessing an extraordinary physical constitution, possibly from bodily modifications or Breathing Technique training.

Lynch casually said, “Oh, many areas of study.”

Seren twitched his lips and shot him a glare full of disdain.

Parker’s flying speed was swift, capable of exceeding 300 yards, similar to the Celestial Horse Seren was riding. The two kept flying southwards and soon crossed the boundary of the Lynch Witch Domain.

After continuing further south for more than two hours, a vast mountain range gradually appeared in their view.

Looking down from high above, the mountains below resembled a colossal ancient serpent sprawled across the land, covered densely with greenery, with vivid colors.

Its area was so vast that it stretched beyond the horizon, rising high on the ground, like a Jade Ridge made of emerald.

Jade Ridge.

This was a mountain range located in the Jade Land, extending over ten thousand kilometers, spanning the entire Jade Land and adjoining the neighboring Kassen Corridor.

Jade Ridge is a Magic Stone Mine, possessing an astonishing amount of Magic Stones, renowned even within the entire Wizard World.

Because of this mine, the Jade Land was famous for producing Magic Stones, and had continuously been a major provider of Magic Stones, ruling the market with affluence.

“Flap, flap!”

Just then, the sound of flapping wings echoed loudly.

A ’black cloud’ suddenly drifted over on their right, formed by countless black bats swarming together, overwhelmingly numerous.

Amidst this cloud of bats, a man was evidently encircled.

About forty-something in age, with a gloomy look, his entire body shrouded in a black cloak.

He stared defiantly at Lynch and Seren, sternly commanding, “This is the domain of the Dark Emblem. Strangers, halt your advance immediately and state your purpose!”

“Dark Moon Church…”

After the Tower of Nature fell apart, several Wizard Organizations swiftly sprang up across the Jade Land. Currently, there are eight predominant Wizard Organizations on this land: Kassen School, Jade Tower, Forest Surroundings, Dark Emblem, Green House, Witch Castle, Dark Moon Church, and Pure White Tower.

The Dark Moon Church happens to be one of these eight organizations.

Lynch had Parker come to a stop, ready to respond, but Seren spoke first: “We are Grey Wizards of Jade Land, passing through here to visit the Green House, merely traversing this path. We hope you won’t make it difficult for us.”

Saying this, he took out a Magic Stone Bag and tossed it forward. The bag floated quickly to the man.

The man took the bag, quickly counted its contents, and then, without delving deeper into their identities, nodded stiffly: “You may pass.”

Afterward, he turned his gaze to Lynch.

Seren, understanding the situation, took out another Magic Stone Bag and tossed it over.

Only after accepting the bag did the man make way but not forgetting to warn them: “Do not wander recklessly or go where you shouldn’t. Flying is also prohibited, and if trouble arises, don’t say I didn’t warn you beforehand.”

Seren nodded: “Understood.”

The man soon departed, and Lynch and Seren landed in a nearby forest.

Lynch inquired, “How many Magic Stones did you give?”

Seren replied, “10,000.”

After a pause, he added, “10,000 each.”

Chuckle…

Lynch mocked, “Charging 20,000 Magic Stones just for passing through, that’s quite the lucrative business.”

He had no favorable impression of the Dark Moon Church; during his domain development, they sent people to stir trouble, creating fake emblems and causing a mess. He had long been displeased with them.

Even if their strength was indeed formidable, Lynch’s investigations over the years revealed that the organization seemed to be led only by a single High-level Wizard.

Their border adjoined his domain, occupying a portion of Jade Ridge’s mine, and they kept causing trouble for Lynch. Lynch had planned to deal with them long ago.

Previously, he was too occupied with developing his domain to bother, not wanting to clash with local forces too soon.

Yet now, with Magic Stones becoming scarce, Lynch grew increasingly fed up with the Dark Moon Church…

“It’s not that simple!”

Right then, Seren’s voice sounded from the side, likely catching onto Lynch’s thoughts, advising, “Don’t think mastering the secret skill gives you freedom to act recklessly. Jade Land once had Third Tier wizards, and even now, there are many at the Secret Skill Level. Relying solely on force will only backfire on you.”

Lynch said, “You didn’t summon me here just to lecture me, did you?”

Seren said, “Just follow me further inside.”

Lynch didn’t question further, snapped his fingers, and the Parker on the ground promptly dispelled the Body Enlargement, shrinking to palm size, and flew over to rest quietly on Lynch’s shoulder.

With Parker, Lynch followed the Fatty deeper into the forest ahead.
