Chapter 1935: Chapter 1945: Joining Forces to Slap Miranda Lewis in the Face
Miranda’s eyes immediately filled with joy, and she eagerly responded, "Tobias, you know your Grandma?"
"Of course I know her, and I also know my Grandpa is sick. Auntie forced my Mummy to give her 750 thousand, otherwise, she wouldn’t treat Grandpa’s illness. And she framed my Mummy for 45 thousand dollars. My Mummy severed ties with her long ago. So, are you my Mummy’s cousin?"
He spoke earnestly, without any trace of politeness. Yet, every word he said was true.
Miranda was so stumped she couldn’t even manage a word, awkwardly searching for an exit, "This... how does Tobias know all this... You’re so young, knowing such things isn’t good..."
As she spoke, she stealthily glanced at Enna Clark, clearly intending to sow discord in front of Baron Lawrence.
However, she overestimated herself.
Baron’s gaze had already moved away from her face. He finally realized what was odd about this woman; her appearance bore some resemblance to Enna Clark, but not quite, as she wasn’t as attractive as Enna.
Her features were somewhat similar, but on Enna’s face, they were beautiful. On hers, it turned ugly!
"Are his words not factual?" The person who hadn’t spoken finally did, and as soon as he spoke, Miranda’s face turned from pale to flushed.
She widened her eyes in disbelief, as if Baron Lawrence had hurt her, "Young Master Lawrence?"
He had been looking at her all along.
Unblinkingly gazing at her!
How did he suddenly side with Bobby and embarrass her?
Was it because Enna Clark had arrived?
Miranda clenched her hand at her side into a tight fist, biting her lower lip, and said in grievance, "My Mom did make mistakes before, but she has already apologized. She’s being punished now too, she’s so old, sick in the hospital with no one visiting her. She’s always wanted to see Enna, to apologize to her face-to-face, but Enna refuses to give her a chance. What else can she do..."
Enna Clark had seen people who turned things inside out, but never someone like Miranda, who turned black into white.
Do they not know what Michelle Lewis did?
Why should Enna see her just because she wants to?
She’s not a saintly figure to grant Michelle Lewis chances to hurt her after everything she’s done.
Enna remained calm, as if Miranda wasn’t talking about her, yet her eyes showed disappointment and numbness.
Whether it’s the Clark Family or the Lewis Family, except for her Grandpa, they were all like this.
Fortunately, she met Baron Lawrence.
If she hadn’t met Baron Lawrence back then, she couldn’t imagine what she’d be like now.
At least she couldn’t remain so composed in the face of Miranda’s blatant accusations now if she were alone.
The reason she could stand here so calmly now was because she wasn’t alone; she had a family. Her family was right beside her!
Bobby was the angriest, his small face hardened, and he immediately frowned, saying, "Ha, just because you want to apologize, my Mummy should give you the opportunity? Who are you kidding? You think you can just decide when you want to save face or not?"
"You—" Miranda was so furious from being scolded by a child that her whole body trembled, and she raised her hand.
Baron Lawrence pulled the child behind him, shielding him, and swept a cold gaze over Miranda, as if looking at garbage, and said in a frosty tone, "What do you think you’re doing?"
Miranda’s face turned from pale, to flushed, to purple, and not daring to offend him, she gritted her teeth and slinked away.
As soon as she left.
Bobby emerged from behind Baron Lawrence, displeased, and asked Baron Lawrence, "Why were you staring at her so intently just now?"
"I was looking at her face!"
Bobby surprisingly didn’t explode, pondered for a moment, and said, "You think her face resembles Enna Clark’s too?"
"No, Enna Clark doesn’t look that ugly!"
