Chapter 1866: Chapter 1876: Prenuptial Agreement
Lyle Westbrook walked away, distraught.
Just as Enna Clark stepped into the villa and switched her shoes, she looked up and bumped into a tall, handsome man.
"Baron Lawrence?"
Even though he was trying hard to appear calm, Enna still saw the restlessness hidden beneath his exterior. Especially his hands at his sides were clenched tightly.
After a moment of surprise, she quickly composed herself. As she brushed past the man beside her, she asked, "Where’s Gigi? Did she go to her room to sleep?"
Baron really wanted to strangle her!
Damn it, this woman had clearly noticed he wasn’t happy, yet she pretended not to see it and never mentioned what she talked about with Lyle Westbrook outside.
It felt like a cat’s claw was scratching at his heart, making him unbearably uncomfortable. He wished he could grab the nonchalant little woman immediately, press her against the wall, and ask her what exactly she said to Lyle Westbrook, and why he left so quickly.
But he knew, if he did that, Enna would definitely get even angrier.
The argument they had before wouldn’t be resolved easily.
When had he ever shown such patience?
Always others had to tolerate him, not the other way around.
He always did whatever he wanted, based solely on his mood.
This was the first time he didn’t act solely on his feelings!
Baron’s handsome face darkened a bit, he clenched his fist and forcibly suppressed the clawing impulse in his heart. He followed Enna to the living room, "She went to her room to sleep."
"Did Bobby sleep too?" Enna was a bit surprised.
Considering Bobby’s personality, if Lyle Westbrook came to see her, he wouldn’t have gone to bed without staying to see how things turned out, right?
The sun must have risen from the west.
It’s too unusual!
"No, he went to the study to play on the iPad."
"..." That’s unusual too.
Normally, Bobby would be like a prickly hedgehog guarding the house, waiting for her to come back, and then watch Baron to prevent them from arguing. Only after Baron left would he bombard her with questions. Yet today, he obediently went to the study. That’s not Bobby’s style.
She glanced curiously at the man leisurely sitting on the sofa, suspecting that Bobby had made some kind of agreement with him. That’s why Bobby was so comfortable leaving the living room available, helping to create opportunities.
But what on earth did Baron promise to make Bobby so cooperative?
There was a moment of silence in the living room.
The tall, handsome man sat there wordlessly, and she couldn’t find a topic to talk about.
Enna felt a bit uneasy as she sat, furrowing her brows, and just as she was about to speak.
Suddenly, a piece of paper was handed to her.
"What’s this?" Enna took it, glanced down, then abruptly looked up.
Baron handed her an agreement.
A prenuptial agreement!
She skimmed through it, noting it was about the division of assets. However, it was not the kind where the man demands to have clear divisions of premarital property to prevent it from becoming marital property.
The "Prenuptial Agreement" Baron gave to her stated that if he did anything to cause the deterioration of their marriage, he would leave with nothing, leaving all his assets to Enna and Bobby.
