The White Tiger Elder took a heavy strike to the chest, coughing painfully as he clutched his ribs, gasping for breath. “So… he really has grown up? His martial arts have reached such heights!”

He had been an orphan brought to the island alongside An Hun, both of them possessing exceptional talent. But over the last twenty years, An Hun’s progress compared to his own had been like heaven to earth.

Soon after, even the Black Tortoise Elder was wounded lightly. Gritting his teeth, he said, “Back on the island, how did I never realize he was this formidable?”

The White Tiger Elder muttered, “Indeed, when he was a child, we thought he was only a little stronger than An Hun.”

They had all misjudged him!

Then the White Tiger Elder turned a grave look toward the leading Elder locked in combat with Long Yi. “Azure Dragon Elder, we can no longer hold back. We must give our full strength. Together, we must kill him!”

A shadow of complexity flickered in the Azure Dragon Elder’s eyes. “Shi Tian, you leave me no choice!”

Long Yi’s answer was a fierce, merciless killing strike!

The Azure Dragon Elder tapped his toes on the ground, flipping backward to evade. Using the momentum and the cover of the motion, he suddenly thrust a piercing sword strike toward Long Yi!

At the same moment, the Vermilion Bird Elder lunged low, striking at Long Yi’s legs.

“We go too!” barked the White Tiger Elder.

The Black Tortoise Elder nodded, both of them leaping together, attacking Long Yi from his left and right.

Long Yi was besieged from four sides; this was the most lethal strike of the four sect Elders!

Everyone watching believed Long Yi would be pierced through like a sieve, yet in that instant, something unexpected happened. Long Yi soared high into the air!

“Trying to flee?!”

The White Tiger Elder leapt after him, only for Long Yi to stamp down hard on his skull, smashing him to the ground.

“White Tiger Elder!” the Black Tortoise Elder cried out in shock and horror.

That one kick, charged with Long Yi’s internal force, shattered the White Tiger Elder’s head completely. He collapsed to the ground, dead on the spot!

The remaining three were consumed with fury. The Azure Dragon Elder and Black Tortoise Elder struck together at Long Yi, while the Vermilion Bird Elder took the chance to lash out, not at Long Yi, but at Xiao Heng and Shangguan Qing behind him.

Long Yi abandoned countering the others and instead turned sharply, darting straight at the Vermilion Bird Elder.

“Vermilion Bird! Watch out!” the Azure Dragon Elder shouted.

The Vermilion Bird Elder spun around, raising his sword to stab at Long Yi, but before he could even fully gather his sword qi, Long Yi lunged in, seizing him by the throat.

Clamping down on his neck, Long Yi slammed forward, ramming him brutally against the cold, hard mountainside!

Rocks broke loose, tumbling down with the flying sand in a clattering shower.

Long Yi didn’t dodge. His eyes blazed like torches as he looked at him, and with a crisp crack, he twisted the man’s neck!

He turned, killing intent radiating from his entire being as he tossed the lifeless Vermilion Bird Elder to the ground as casually as throwing away a chick.

“Vermilion Bird!”

“Vermilion Bird Elder!”

Of the four Elders, two were already gone.

“Wow…” Shangguan Qing had lost count of how many times he had uttered that tonight. Watching Long Yi slay gods and demons alike without pause, he muttered under his breath, “More arrogant than my old man…”

“Shi Tian! I’ll kill you!”

The Black Tortoise Elder threw aside his sword, driving his internal force to its utmost limit as he charged at Long Yi. He no longer cared if Shi Tian’s blade struck him. It didn’t matter anymore. He was determined to drag Shi Tian down with him!

Shangguan Qing sucked in a breath. “Hey, hey, hey! You there, watch out!”

Xiao Heng furrowed his brow. “Long Yi!”

The Black Tortoise Elder charged at Long Yi like a man ready to die. Long Yi vaulted aside with perfect agility.

But the Black Tortoise Elder refused to stop. Boosting his qinggong to its peak, he pursued like a shadow.

Long Yi glanced at him once, then leapt again with his own qinggong, landing at the edge of a cliff, his sword raised and pointing at the elder.

The Black Tortoise Elder hurled himself forward recklessly.

Long Yi squatted down, hugging his head.

The Black Tortoise Elder: “???”

You’ve got to be kidding me!

Weren’t you going to stab me?!

“I’m not reconciled to this——”

With a mad roar, the once-revered Elder plunged over the cliff.

Shangguan Qing gaped. “You, you can do that?!”

Xiao Heng let out a long breath. This was still the Long Yi he knew.

Only the Azure Dragon Elder remained now. He was the strongest of the four, but at this moment, the thought of retreat arose in his heart. He no longer wanted to fight Long Yi.

He backed away, far away.

At that distance, it would be hard to chase him.

Long Yi’s eyes flicked, his icy aura vanishing in an instant. He flopped onto the ground, spreading himself out flat.

When the Azure Dragon Elder still didn’t approach, Long Yi rolled his eyes dramatically, lolled out his tongue, and tilted his head to the side.

“I’m hurt. Easy kill here.”

Xiao Heng and Shangguan Qing both covered their eyes, unable to watch. This blindingly bad acting, was he trying to steal JiaoJiao’s job?

It was Shangguan Qing pulling the trigger of his firelance.

The Azure Dragon Elder’s body was blasted back by the shot, and Long Yi sprang to his feet, adding a perfect kick to send him tumbling over the cliff.

Shangguan Qing blew at the smoke curling from his gun’s muzzle, then jogged to the edge of the cliff and peered down, but his fear of heights kicked in; he stepped back quickly and grabbed Long Yi’s arm.

Long Yi looked at the paw clutching his arm, and after a moment’s restraint, he decided not to chop it off.

Completely unaware how close he had come to losing his hand, Shangguan Qing raised his brows at Long Yi with a grin. “We worked together pretty well back there, huh? I’m Shangguan Qing, Xiao Heng’s big brother! Ugh, my useless little brother only knows how to read books. How about from now on you follow me instead? …Well, or I could follow you! The two of us roaming the martial world with our swords, that would be——”

As he was speaking, Long Yi’s eyes suddenly sharpened, and he whirled around, slashing out a streak of sword qi!

However, it was already too late. Inside the sword formation, Xiao Heng and Gu Jiao had been seized by a figure that had silently approached and whisked them away.

The direction they were taken was toward the back peak.

Without another word, Long Yi used his qinggong skill and pursued.

Shangguan Qing shouted, “Hey! Wait for me!”

But when he glanced at Gu Changqing and Duke An, who were still behind the rocks, he knew he couldn’t leave. He had to stay!
