Liang Xun looked at the piece of yarn and asked Jing Yao casually, “What has Yaoyao been doing at home these past few days?”
Jing Yao’s eyes flickered as she whispered, “Nothing much. I’m just playing with my cell phone and watching television.”
Liang Xun raised his eyebrows slightly. “Nothing else?”
Jing Yao nodded and then shook her head. “I also chatted with Mom and the others.”
“Oh.” Liang Xun’s lips curled up slightly. His smile was especially gentle and harmless. “Dad is here this time too. What gift did he bring you?”
“He brought…” Jing Yao’s excited voice stopped abruptly. She realized belatedly that Liang Xun was trying to get information from her.
“What did he bring?” Liang Xun was still asking with a smile.
Jing Yao snorted softly and did not want to talk to Liang Xun anymore.
Liang Xun walked around the huge cardboard box and sat beside Jing Yao.
Jing Yao moved a little to the side, not wanting to be close to him.
Liang Xun’s expression froze and he asked with a hurt expression, “Did Yaoyao not miss me these few days? I’ve always missed Yaoyao. I’ve been thinking about her even when I’m eating and sleeping.”
Jing Yao pursed her lips. How could she not? This house was filled with traces of Liang Xun. She would think of Liang Xun every time she did something.
“Then why did you criticize me the moment you came back?” Jing Yao looked at Liang Xun aggrievedly and angrily.
Liang Xun moved closer to Jing Yao and pulled her hand over to play with her fingers.
“It’s not healthy to eat too many snacks. Yaoyao doesn’t want to eat after eating snacks,” Liang Xun explained gently.
Jing Yao lost her temper. Knowing that Liang Xun was doing this for her own good, she said softly, “I don’t want to eat snacks if you make the food better than snacks.”
Liang Xun was slightly stunned.
Seeing Liang Xun’s expression, Jing Yao also realized that she was being unreasonable. She lowered her head in embarrassment and stopped talking.
Liang Xun pulled her into his arms and smiled helplessly. “Yaoyao, you’re making things difficult for me. No matter how delicious my food is, you definitely still want to eat snacks.”
Jing Yao had nothing to say because Liang Xun was right.
The two of them sat on the sofa and whispered. After Auntie Li brought the porridge to Liang Xun, Liang Xun picked up the cardboard box and walked out.
Jing Yao grabbed his arm anxiously. “Liang Xun, don’t throw it away. It’s such a waste. I’m not eating anymore. Give it all to Little Zhao.”
Liang Xun was caught between laughter and tears. He looked at Jing Yao and said, “I’m not throwing it away. I’m just putting it in the cupboard.”
“Oh.” Jing Yao retracted her hand awkwardly.
Liang Xun put the cardboard box away and placed his luggage in the bedroom.
Jing Yao followed behind him like Liang Xun’s little tail just like when he was going on a business trip a few days ago.
Liang Xun put down his luggage, then turned around and looked down at Jing Yao with a smile in his eyes.
After staying up for so many days, he did not look tired at all after catching up on a few hours of sleep.
“Yaoyao, what do you want to say?” Liang Xun asked.
Jing Yao lowered her head and muttered softly, “Nope.” I just wanted to follow you.
Jing Yao didn’t finish her sentence, but she blushed.
Liang Xun’s lips curled up slightly. He looked down at Jing Yao and whispered, “Yaoyao has nothing to say. Then 1’11 say it. I was too sleepy when I came back. I seemed to have heard Yaoyao say that she loved me, but I’m not sure. Yaoyao, say it again. I want to confirm if it’s my imagination.”
Jing Yao raised her chin slightly and pursed her lips. “If you’re not sure, forget it.”
The smile in Liang Xun’s eyes deepened. He hugged Jing Yao’s shoulders and pulled her into his arms. He whispered pitifully, “In order to come back early to see Yaoyao, I only slept four to five hours a day. Yaoyao, doesn’t your heart ache for me?”
Jing Yao shrank in his arms, her eyes drooping slightly. How could her heart not ache?
Liang Xun didn’t hear Jing Yao’s words for a long time. He coaxed her gently, “Yaoyao, can you repeat what you said before you went to bed?”
Jing Yao pursed her lips and said in a low voice, “Liang Xun, 1 love you.”
His voice was so soft, but Liang Xun still heard him clearly. He lifted Jing Yao’s chin and lowered his head to kiss her eagerly.
It was already more than 10 minutes later when they separated.
Jing Yao’s lips were swollen and numb. Seeing that Liang Xun was still unsatisfied, she glared at him.
She finally realized that Liang Xun had no bottom line in order to get close to her. He even knew how to pretend to be pitiful. There was no need for her to be soft-hearted.
Liang Xun smiled at Jing Yao.
Jing Yao broke free from his arms and left the bedroom first.
Liang Xun followed her unhurriedly. The porridge in the dining room had already turned cold. Liang Xun didn’t mind, but he was glared at by Jing Yao as soon as he picked up the spoon. “Go to the kitchen and get Auntie Li to change another bowl of hot porridge for you.”
Liang Xun smiled and said readily, “Yes, Wifey.”
Jing Yao was speechless..
