"Wanggu holds profound secrets."

Xu Qing fell into deep thought.

At that moment, Erniu’s shouts from below interrupted Xu Qing and Old Master Seventh’s reflections.

"Old man, Little Qing, stop reminiscing! Since we’re here, shouldn’t we hurry up and find my main body?"

"I can sense my main body is living way too comfortably right now. As a clone, I can’t stand it!"

Erniu stood on the ground, yelling up at the sky.

Mid-air, Old Master Seventh glared down at him.

"What kind of nonsense is that? You and your main body are connected—two sides of the same coin!"

Erniu chuckled awkwardly.

Meanwhile, Xu Qing’s divine sense abruptly expanded. In an instant, muffled thunder rumbled across Brilliant Heaven—a sound born from the collision of his divine sense with the anomalous substances.

The reverberations surged outward, causing the skies and earth of Brilliant Heaven to shift violently. Winds howled, clouds churned.

Every plant trembled; every ferocious beast wailed.

Under the sweep of Xu Qing’s divine sense, nearly everything in Brilliant Heaven was laid bare to him.

Only one region remained veiled in an intense light, temporarily resisting his probing.

Yet, Erniu’s main body wasn’t in that radiant zone—but close by.

Then... Xu Qing saw the state of Erniu’s main body.

His expression turned peculiar, and his gaze shifted back to the clone below.

Erniu blinked. Knowing Xu Qing well, he immediately guessed the reason. Clearing his throat, he declared proudly:

"Well? Saw my main body, didn’t you? Told you, Little Qing—I wasn’t boasting! Your Eldest Senior Brother truly is just one step away from unifying Brilliant Heaven!"

"Shut your mouth!" Old Master Seventh snapped, unable to bear it any longer.

After scolding him, he ignored Erniu and turned kindly to Xu Qing.

"Dear disciple, that fool’s matters aren’t important. Since we’re here, let me tell you about the events that unfolded in this place as we walk."

Xu Qing nodded.

Old Master Seventh laughed heartily. Bringing his disciple here filled him with joy—especially knowing how far Xu Qing’s cultivation had progressed. His heart swelled with pride.

He took a step forward.

Sensing his master’s buoyant mood, Xu Qing didn’t want to dampen his spirits. With a wave of his hand, the void twisted, and the figures of Zhou Zhengli and the others emerged through the ripples in spacetime he had opened.

"Scatter across the land. Suppress the temples and extract the origin essence."

Zhou Zhengli and the others immediately nodded. Extracting origin essence was their specialty—especially the art of live extraction...

They dispersed like streaks of light, shooting toward distant regions.

Watching them depart, Xu Qing turned and walked to Old Master Seventh’s side. Together, they strode across Brilliant Heaven.

Wherever they passed, the tendrils of anomalous substances in the air dissolved under the immortal energy radiating from the master and disciple. Even the ashen-gray sky seemed to clear in their wake.

On the ground, vegetation trembled. Under the spread of immortal energy, black blood oozed from the plants as they withered.

The ferocious beasts met the same fate—wherever the two walked, the creatures wailed before crumbling to dust.

Watching this from behind, Erniu felt another pang of bitterness.

"Why does it feel like these two perfectly embody the master-disciple relationship... I need to step up my game, or the old man might really decide to only acknowledge Little Qing as his disciple from now on."

With this thought, he took a deep breath and hurried after them, doing his best to blend in.

Old Master Seventh shot him an exasperated look but slowed his pace slightly. Though he scolded him endlessly, in his heart, he still held affection for this eldest disciple.

Xu Qing, meanwhile, secretly released a wisp of immortal energy to bolster Erniu’s speed.

Thus, the three advanced through Brilliant Heaven. Though their steps seemed leisurely, each footfall spanned vast distances, altering the landscape beneath them.

Old Master Seventh’s voice occasionally rose, recounting glorious memories from the past.

"This... was where the Profound Earth Dao Star collapsed..."

"Here... stood the Brilliant Heaven God Race’s Ninth Altar, destroyed by Senior Yun Luozi of Profound Earth and his allied cultivators!"

His tone carried deep emotion. As he spoke, his footsteps suddenly halted, and he gazed at a massive chasm below.

The fissure stretched straight as an arrow, endless to the naked eye, its depth unfathomable. Within it, ancient sword energy continuously rose, repelling the anomalous substances that had gathered over countless years.

"This is where the Profound Earth Immortal Tian Ling slew the Brilliant Heaven God Emperor’s brother—King Radiant Brilliance!"

"King Radiant Brilliance held the rank of True God, incomparably mighty."

"Senior Tian Ling sacrificed his own cultivation realm, combining it with Profound Earth’s treasures, to slay Him once and for all—leaving this sword scar behind."

Old Master Seventh sighed, staring at the chasm.

Xu Qing looked down, sensing the razor-sharp sword intent within, then bowed solemnly.

Old Master Seventh’s heart warmed at the sight.

"Let us continue."

He strode forward.

They traversed mountains and seas, passing through countless sites as Old Master Seventh’s recollections painted a vivid picture of the war’s brutality.

Finally, on a vast plain, his voice grew stiff and complex.

"This place... is where my master made his name."

"Once, an endless mountain range stood here. My master was not yet an Immortal then—it was here he ascended, engaging in a life-and-death battle with a Brilliant Heaven True God."

"After that battle, the mountains vanished, reduced to scorched earth. The True God fell, and my master’s immortal fame spread across Profound Earth."

Xu Qing fell silent, understanding the weight behind Old Master Seventh’s tone.

Even Erniu refrained from his usual interruptions, allowing his master to dwell in memory.

But as the master and disciple lingered, their immortal energy caused the plain’s vile grasses to wither and the beasts to wail. Soon, the temples standing on this land could no longer endure.

With thunderous crashes, they collapsed.

From the shattered temples came deafening roars as the divine statues—transforming from stone to flesh—burst forth, unleashing torrents of anomalous substances and divine might at the Divine Fire realm.

Yet Their expressions were frenzied, Their eyes dull, as though Their bodies and minds were puppeteered. Oblivious to the vast power gap, They charged toward Xu Qing’s group with suicidal fervor.

Excluding divine sense perception, Xu Qing had personally encountered three members of the Brilliant Heaven God Race.

One was Crimson Goddess.

One was Li Zihua.

One was the Golden Crow Crown Prince.

The first two had assimilated into Wanggu—Crimson Goddess chose to fuse with the Red Moon as an outer god, while Li Zihua severed his own divinity, abandoning his innate talents.

The Golden Crow Crown Prince had only been a temporal projection.

And back then, Xu Qing’s cultivation hadn’t been sufficient to perceive Their true essence.

Thus, this was effectively Xu Qing’s first time laying eyes on a true Brilliant Heaven God Race member.

This race was extraordinary!

Their bodies were labyrinths of crystal and nerve fibers, formless yet manifesting as the most terrifying shapes conceivable to the observer’s subconscious.

Their heads were chaotic ritual grounds—arrays of floating light cones, varying in number. The ones charging at Xu Qing bore a maximum of twelve.

These cones pierced through Their skulls, radiating dazzling light that coalesced into ever-shifting, intricate sigils across Their "faces."

As the cones flickered, the gods’ shrieks carried soul-piercing force. Just as They closed within a thousand feet—

Xu Qing’s gaze remained placid. With a single glance—

Spacetime shattered!

The charging Brilliant Heaven God Race members trembled, instantly disintegrating into crystalline dust.

Only Their cranial light cones remained, preserved by Xu Qing’s will, transforming into beams of radiance that landed in his palm.

They gleamed like dawn’s first light.

Studying them, Xu Qing murmured thoughtfully:

’Morning glow!!’
