Qiao Wei, driven by both curiosity and a hint of malice, responded with a smile, “Very well, you may return for now. I will inform Madame Shao later. The servant, without any suspicion, readily agreed and turned to depart.

Qiao Wei concealed her cold smile and exited the relay station with Qiu He.

As anticipated, a woman and a young girl were waiting outside the courier station. The girl, dressed in worn yet impeccably clean clothes, appeared to be around 14 or 15 years old. She was slight and fragile, with a slightly pallid complexion and dull hair, neatly combed. Her hands were fidgeting, revealing a touch of uneasiness.

The woman, in her thirties, possessed a round face, fair skin, and a plump figure. She wore maroon attire and had silver hairpins adorning her bun. Energetic and periodically peering inside, she displayed a look of delight upon spotting Qiao Wei, unaware of her identity. After a moment of hesitation, she approached, bowed, and offered a cheerful greeting, “Miss, Madame Shao, are you here?”

Qiao Wei sneered, wearing an air of self-importance. “Madame Shao is currently occupied, so you may inform me of your purpose.”

The woman responded with an obsequious smile. “Certainly. In that case, please take Mianmian with you. Madame Shao mentioned yesterday that having this girl employed to serve her is a stroke of good fortune!”

Having spoken, she gently urged the young girl forward.
