Eternal Cultivation of Alchemy

Chapter 3660: His Rewards

Chapter 3660: His Rewards

"My reward?" Alex asked at first, somewhat confused. But when he finally remembered why he had been doing this godforsaken task, it all made sense.

Alex nearly jumped out of his seat in excitement at what came next. His rewards.

The Sky God pulled out a small book from her Soul Space and handed it over to Alex.

"I thought of what cultivation technique to give you for a long time. My early option was the one I currently use, but it doesn’t make sense for someone who is not us to be using it."

Alex looked at the book and the name written upon it.

Tempest’s Wrath Cultivation Technique.

"Instead of mine, I searched for the next best thing that is with me, which is this technique," the Sky God said. "It was apparently something that the previous Sky Gods used, but I couldn’t find any records proving that to be true. But the fact that we have it has to mean something."

Alex was quite fascinated by the technique, so he opened it and read it. The paper underneath his fingertips felt weird, but not in a way that a person’s aura would be. Rather, the physical paper itself felt incredibly fragile, so he had to be very careful with it.

It truly did feel like a very old technique.

"I hope that works for you. You did ask me for a Wood cultivation technique, after all."

Alex nodded quickly, thanking the woman. "I will need to test it out for some time before I can tell you whether it works or not. But regardless of that fact, you can consider one part of our promise completed."

The Sky God was happy to hear that.

"As for your other reward, we can do it any time you want. Just let me know when you wish to do it."

Alex’s eyes narrowed, partly happy that things were happening quickly, and partly nervous since he hadn’t prepared for this. He wanted to make at least a few questions he could ask Yang Renye before he went to meet him.

He told the Sky God exactly as much, explaining his thought process and why he wanted to delay the meeting. The Sky God thought for a bit and shrugged.

"That’s fine. As I said, anytime works for me. Good luck on your work."

The Sky God stood to leave and was halfway to the door when Alex called out to her. "I was curious about something," he said quickly, causing the Sky God to turn around.

"Yes?"

"The Artifact God. I thought she would have come here by now. Same for the Nine Yang Court. Is that not the case?" he asked.

It had been close to a century by now, so the fact that neither of them had come was quite surprising.

Alex thought it made sense for the Nine Yang Court to be late since they didn’t have direct teleportation formations like the ones major realms did. As such, there was absolutely no way for anyone to go there quickly or come from there quickly.

It wouldn’t be surprising if they still took another century to arrive.

The Artifact God, though, made no sense. Surely she could come here as soon as she found out about him. Or did she not care about her master as deeply as he had thought she did?

She had to. The memories he received from Godslayer were clear on the love and care the two people shared for each other. Their bond as master and disciple wasn’t such a simple thing that could be forgotten.

"The message was delivered to her people," the Sky God said. "But meeting the people and meeting the actual person is night and day different. We don’t know who got the message."

Alex frowned slightly. "So, are you saying that she hasn’t received any of her messages yet?"

The Sky God nodded. "That is the gist of it. It is possible she didn’t receive the message just yet, or has received it and isn’t responding right away. She may want to focus on that later on."

"Why later?" Alex asked, somewhat annoyed at the fact that there was even a suggestion at all. What would be more important than meeting one’s master after considering them dead for ages?

Godslayer was indeed dead, but no one except a few needed to know this.

"If she has received our information and isn’t acting on it, it is because the Tomb of Godkiller is about to open soon. So everyone who is nearby has an influx of other people, who mostly go out of their way to go to the Golden Dao realm to get artifacts. As such, this period of time is not something the Artifact God can easily ignore."

Alex nodded slowly, things finally making sense to him. "Do you know how many years still remain before Godkiller’s tomb opens?"

"37 years, I think?" the Sky God answered.

Alex was pleasantly taken aback. He hadn’t realized that the opening of Godkiller’s tomb had come this close. He felt it a shame that he wasn’t given the opportunity to go.

However, it was also better for him since he could just wait for the next opening. That was what the Divination God had told him as well. If he acted according to that, then it would be the next time he had to go to the tomb.

By then, he would likely have found many tickets.

"Do you have anything else you wish to ask me?" the Sky God asked.

Alex thought for a bit and then shook his head. There was nothing more. He thanked the Sky God and returned to his task at hand.

The Sky God glanced at Alex one last time before leaving and parted with a single sentence.

"There will be a secret realm opening in the north soon in the future. You will need to participate there when it does," she said. "Please be prepared for that as well."
