Chapter 406: The Chaos Long River of Fate (Part 2)
When he became a Great Overarching expert or even the Quasi-Sage expert, he would be properly capable of resisting against a Saint expert.
As for the core disciple, he would be capable of resisting a Saint.
“Do you think it’s tough?” When Jun Sanqian saw the changes in Jiang Ming’s expression, he couldn’t help but laugh. “This is already a privilege. Else, do you think you can become a core disciple with your Saint Soul? Nonsense!”
“What’s the origin of the Supreme Pagoda?” Jiang Ming was again astonished. Hence, he couldn’t help but ask, “Is it something beyond the Sea of Chaos?”
Jun Sanqian merely responded with a smile.
Jiang Ming took a deep breath, paid his respect to Jun Sanqian, and said, “Thank you for telling me. May I ask whether there’s any other status above the core disciple such as the true disciple or the Holy Son and Holy Daughter?”
“You will know when you achieve the Great Overarching Realm or make it to step 64 of the Heavenly Ladder.” Jun Sanqian didn’t answer but said smilingly, “Any other question?”
“Yes, one last one.” Jiang Ming felt rather embarrassed. “Will the points be useful in the future?”
“Yes, they would become more useful and valuable.” After Jun Sanqian answered the question, he waved his hand and said, “Brother, I’ve revealed enough. I’d be going against the principle if I were to share more!”
“Thank you, my big brother!” Jiang Ming bowed. He clearly knew the reason why Jun Sanqian was treating him better each time. It was because of his personal potential. He also knew that the strength of Jun Sanqian, who had been his opponent all these while, was definitely way stronger than he could imagine.
“You are welcome. I think we may meet face-to-face soon.” Jun Sanqian smiled, and a long sword appeared in his hand.
...The white robe Jun Sanqian was wearing had waves of fluctuation rippling out. In his mind was a bell guarding his soul. Jiang Ming knew that it was a Demi-Sage Vessel.
With the long sword as the offensive weapon, the armor as the defensive vessel, and the immortal bell as the soul guardian, Jun Sanqian was an all-round Demi-Sage without any shortcomings. He could be known as the invincible or at least wouldn’t be defeated by any opponents below the Saints provided no Saint vessel was used.
Jiang Ming had tried to defeat Jun Sanqian of this level a few times but to no avail. However, Jiang Ming was no longer afraid of Jun Sanqian now.
“Celestial Heart Sword, slash!” Jiang Ming immediately evoked the strongest special ability he had by condensing the power of soul into a long sword. It instantaneously pierced through the defensive armor of Jun Sanqian and his mind.
Along with the bell abruptly rang out, the Soul Defending Treasure had been blasted out of Jun Sanqian’s body.
Jun Sanqian, who was about to strike, shuddered. All his seven orifices were bleeding, and his primal spirit was extremely weakened.
Jun Sanqian survived the first strike. It also proved how strong a peerless genius of infinite realms was.
However, Jun Sanqian couldn’t survive the second strike. He died immediately under the second strike of the Celestial Heart Sword.
“Brother, do work harder to evolve your inner world up to the great chiliocosm as soon as possible. Don’t forget to cultivate in the Hongmeng Primordial Land. Go as early as possible.” Jun Sanqian vanished into the thin air after he said so.
Jiang Ming had an inexplicable feeling that he wouldn’t be seeing Jun Sanqian in a while after this.
“Jiang Ming, congratulations for having passed the seventh Battle Tower!”
A voice rang out in the air, and that was it.
Although there wasn’t any surprise, Jiang Ming was not disappointed. With a thought, he left the Battle Tower.
Upon reentering, it was a stranger who appeared to be his opponent. This made him feel lost. He returned to the public square of the Supreme Pagoda after he defeated the opponent with the same Celestial Heart Sword technique.
“Brother Jiang, why did you disappear immediately after your reappearance just now? Don’t tell me you’ve failed the test.” Ye Qingxian chuckled. “Can it be that you’ve just discovered some secrets?”
Jiang Ming nodded. He looked at Ye Qingxian and said, “It’s better that you pass at least one of them.” Then, he turned around to look at the Battle Towers, and then the Heavenly Ladder.
Ye Qingxian was startled. When she recollected herself, she solemnly clasped her hands as an appreciation.
“I want to challenge the Heavenly Ladder, talk to you later!” Jiang Ming communicated with the Heavenly Ladder, and disappeared from the public square. He reappeared directly on the step 63 of the Heavenly Ladder.
Jiang Ming felt the massive pressure in the past when he stepped on here. However, it was different now. He no longer felt any hints of pressure from his soul.
Jiang Ming calmed himself, and took a step up. When he had his feet on step 64, a sword ray of light appeared in his mind. It pierced through heaven, and traversed 300 billion miles. It was immense and strong. It seemed to have traveled from the end of the universe, landed on Jiang Ming’s mind and revealed itself in an instant.
Pff…
The Ten Level Stellar Tower appeared automatically, forming a defense. Nevertheless, it managed to slightly paused the sword ray before it was slashed through.
It was also at this moment that Jiang Ming had cast his return blow. It was the Celestial Heart Sword that was his best spiritual technique.
Jiang Ming counteracted with an offensive technique.
Bang…
The two sword rays collided. Its aftermath trembled infinite realms, causing Jiang Ming to feel that his soul was greatly threatened.
Nevertheless, Jiang Ming managed to block and weaken the sword ray.
“Again!”
The figure of Jiang Ming’s soul abruptly grew bigger to the size of an universe. It also shot out sword ray to slash at the sword ray casting at him.
The entire scene was a mere continuous collision between sword rays. The power of the aftermath, if it were to happen in reality, could possibly destroy the entire Honggu Heavenly Realm.
It was extremely terrifying.
Eventually when Jiang Ming managed to destroy the sword ray cast at him, the figure of his soul had got very dim, as though it would vanish at any time.
“I’ve made it!” Jiang Ming retreated his consciousness, and heaved a sigh of relief.
Jiang Ming felt intense tiredness, but it was gone completely in the next moment.
Jiang Ming lifted his head and looked around to discover that he had got to the end of the Heavenly Ladder.
At the same time, the Supreme Order flew out of his body, gleaming as though it was undergoing an inexplicable change. One message after another got into his mind.
“Jiang Ming, congratulations for having passed the Battle Towers and made it to step 64 of the Heavenly Ladder. Hence, you have achieved the requirement to be a Supreme Core Disciple. Do you accept it?”
“Reminder: Because you have achieved the requirement in the Supreme Pagoda, and also your role as the Group Admin in the Chat Room, you can still enjoy the privilege as a Group Admin prior to transcending the Chaos Long River of Fate if you are willing to accept it.”
“Reminder: If you aren’t willing to accept it, you can still enjoy the privilege before you step into the Great Overarching Realm. Else, you’ll be given a special opportunity to spend all your points in exchange for items in a special market. Then, your Supreme Order will be taken back.”
“Jiang Ming, are you willing to accept it?”
“Yes!” Jiang Ming replied without hesitation. He thought only the fool would reject such an offer and opportunity.
“Jiang Ming, you are the Supreme Core Disciple from now onwards!” The divine voice rang out again. “You get to enjoy the following privileges. First, you are still the Group Admin with the same privilege prior to you becoming a Great Overarching Expert. Second, you’ll be automatically removed from the position as the Group Admin upon becoming a Great Overarching Expert. But you get to enjoy the same privilege and you can still enter the Supreme Pagoda freely. Third, you are rewarded with 10 million points for making it to step 64 of the Heavenly Ladder. Fourth, you will be given the privilege to enter a special cultivating space. Fifth, you can communicate with the Supreme Order to go to the real land of inheritance at any time.”
The sound stopped.
Jiang Ming was surprised. He had never expected that he would be rewarded with 10 million points, and wondered if he would still receive the reward if he were to reject the offer as a core disciple. He was also surprised that there was a special cultivating space.
“Interesting!”
While looking at the Supreme Order that had landed on his hand, Jiang Ming communicated with it and discovered the changes of his condition.
Name: Jiang Ming
Race: The Human Race of the Honggu Great Chiliocosm in the Chaos.
Cultivation Base: Level 15 (Taiyi Golden Immortal Realm)
Points Accumulated: 30120088
Identity: Core disciple
Jiang Ming frowned because he thought of the voice which had mentioned the ‘transcending the Chaos Long River of Fate’. The phrase had been too overwhelming that sent chills down his spine.
He shook his head because he knew that there were things that he wasn’t supposed to be thinking of.
He communicated with the Supreme Order. He disappeared and reappeared in another space. It was still located in the Supreme Pagoda but it was empty. He was the only person in that space.
Beneath his feet was an altar. On his left was a nine-level tall pagoda, and on his right was a Heavenly Ladder with only nine steps.
Jiang Ming understood that the altar beneath his feet was the Dao Enlightenment Platform. He only had to cultivate by sitting cross-legged on it to enter the perfect cultivation mode, and even enter the Dao enlightenment condition without the need of spending a single point. The pagoda on his left was the Battle Tower and the ladder on his right was the Heavenly Ladder. They were the training area, where he would be rewarded as he passed through each level or step.
“Since I’m now the core disciple, I wonder if they have a group for core disciples to communicate or the market for trading?” Jiang Ming communicated with the Supreme Order but he didn’t receive any answer.
“What about the other members who have passed all seven Battle Towers?” Jiang Ming asked again but still received no answer.
This made Jiang Ming feel rather upset.
‘Can it be due to the fact that I’m still considered an outsider because I haven’t got to the real land of inheritance yet?’ As Jiang Ming thought, he laid down and started slumbering.
It was still 10,000 years every second in here.
