Re-Birth of a Genius. Creator/Destroyer

Chapter 2552: Negotiation

Chapter 2552: Negotiation

Sam looked at the clone.

"You weren’t lying. A perfect clone." He muttered in amusement.

"As I said, I don’t have much time." He threw the storage ring to Sam. And the next moment, he disappeared completely. The clone left like it was never there in the first place.

Sam took a look at the storage and he was gleeful. Ling Tian pulled through. He now had hundreds of Divine inheritances. He didn’t even bother to count. There are more than enough for the cultivation and research.

He went back inside to experiment with his new findings from the bodies of the land crocs.

By next morning, he had the first small working prototype ready to be tested.

But before that could happen, there were some visitors. One he was familiar with and the other was stranger to him.

Sam flew out of the formation range. Once again, sticking closely to the border of the formation dome while he looked at the two people.

"Mr. Parth. Didn’t expect that you would come earlier than the deadline you mentioned. Did you by any chance already make a decision?" Sam asked, with a polite tone.

"No. I wish we did. But it’s not going to be that easy. But I did bring this guy, Myrmon. If he accepts without any objections, then you can consider half your work here is done."

Sam was a bit surprised and looked at Myrmon. A tall man, not a tall as Parth, but pretty close. Blonde hair that looked like golden silk. Pale face with slight gruff. Blue eyes... but not the pretty blue. The fierce and dangerous blue. Like a glacial torrent.

His golden armor looked pristine. Almost like it never saw any combat. But that look and aura said otherwise.

He didn’t hold any weapons, which made it hard for Sam to guess what kind of warrior he was.

"Stop sizing me up, boy. It’s a rude thing to do on the very first time we met." Myrmom said interrupting Sam’s thought.

Sam just smiled and replied.

"So, you are aware that it’s rude?"

Myrmon’s face froze for a moment. But it turned to a smile in just a second.

"You are an interesting person, I would give you that. Before we make a decision, I wanted to take a quick look at you and your set up here. How were you able to summon that shadow that killed the crocodile on this island?"

"I am sorry. I can’t really expose that kind of secret to you now, can I? It is my only means of survival in this planet full of powerhouses."

"But, such an unknown factor. How can we just allow it in our planet?"

"I don’t know what to say... the only thing that I can guarantee is that it is not actually an offensive measure. Its more of a defensive measure. Unless you invade the formation, it won’t be triggered."

"And I have to take your word for it?"

"Yes, just like I took Mr. Parth’s word and didn’t make a move. I wanted for your verdict just like he asked, solely based on his word.

I am sure, you can reciprocate the courtesy."

"Well, its hard to do that, when you are the one who came from the outside."

"How can I help you with it? You know, apart from revealing my secrets to you?"

Myrmon went silent for a while. Then he spoke.

"Alright, I am not much of a talker. I don’t want to beat around the bush. I am going to be straight with you.

I don’t really care that you are from the outside world and I don’t care about the conquest or whatever it is.

We all believe, every person has the right to pursue their growth and conquest.

So, you can try and conquer the land as much as you want for all I care. Of course others might be afraid that you would affect the balance a little too much if you can secure it...

But I don’t care.

However, I do care about one thing. Your worth.

Are you worthy of holding that right to conquer?

If you can prove it, I will wholeheartedly support you. And if I agree, as Parth said, fifty percent of approval is already there."

Sam smiled and said.

"How do I do it?"

"Simple. Through a combat. The most primitive and most efficient way to do this."

"I like it. What are the terms?" Sam was even more direct than what Myrmon had thought.

"I would like to see what you are best at. This evening, I will bring a person from my tribe. He would be the same cultivation as you. My best fighter in the same range.

You will fight above the open sea, freely.

If you win, you are in. I would convince the rest of the gang to keep you here.

If you lose... well, I won’t oppose the decision to keep you here. But I wouldn’t support it either.

What do you say?"

"Well, it’s good for me. But the terms seemed to be a bit unfair towards me, don’t you think?"

Myrmon was surprised and even Parth looked intrigued.

"According to your terms... if I lose, there is a great chance I would lose the territory that I captured here. After all... even if you said you wouldn’t oppose it, the reputation would definitely reduce my chances.

My hard earned territory would be gone.

So, I would say that I should get a piece of territory, just about the same size as my current territory. How about that?"

"This island isn’t really that big. It shouldn’t be a big deal."

"I am sorry, not just the island. I am sure you saw those worthless energy fluctuations in the 200 mile radius... they are mine.

My territory is all of that. So, give me something of similar size. Fully conquered and in control. Then we have a deal.

What do you think?"
