Chapter 2339: Multiply

The opponent didnt even have a chance to resist.

The tree branches penetrated into his body and soon he stopped moving. Sam still hovered in the air and looked at the tree. The branches for some reason didn't stop moving even after killing the opponent.

The branches kept on growing and soon enveloped the body of that man. He looked like a cocoon. Then, the roots of the tree came out of the soil. With a glow, the cocoon started absorbing the rest of the tree's body.

Finally, within a minute, a cocoon transformed into a humanoid creature.

It is exactly as tall as the cultivator that the tree just consumed. His skin turned into tree bark. There are several small protrusions here and there on his body that looked like branches and twigs.

Sam noticed that glowing weird energy is now surrounding that creature and it eyed him. Sam felt like he was locked under a scope. His instincts are screaming him that a predator has locked its eyes on him and is coming at him to kill.

The creature stepped forward and leaped.

Literally, in the blink of an eye, it appeared before Sam.

Its arm grew in size with wooden protrusions laced with corrosive death energy as it punched at him.

Sam spun in the air and met the punch with a kick.

*BOOM*

Recoil style sent that overgrown wooden fist away, along with that fist, of course, rest of the body was also sent flying.

Sam was also blown away. He turned around mid-air and escaped. The tree-man stood halted, and awaited for the broken parts to mend back together with its body while still looking at Sam.

He couldn't sense any other presence in the nearby area.

There are no signs of attacks or fights. He just took off on the harbinger to cover as much area as possible.

After he travelled a few hundred meters, he suddenly sensed a threat coming from behind. *SWOOSH*

A skeletal dog came out of ground and tried to bite him down. Sam manoeuvred the harbinger and escaped barely. The dog is also emitting the same energy as the giant human skeleton and the tree-man.

Sam didn't bother engaging with it. Its energy level is even higher than the tree-man and the giant skeleton. He travelled in the same direction, in a straight line and soon he saw the traces of fighting.

It seemed like a fight between a spearman and a swordsman. Both of them seemed to be pure warriors and they are quite strong. That is all the information he bothered to focus on, because something else caught his eye there.

A giant crater that seemed to have disrupted this fight. Then he found a trial of the attacks and craters leading in a different direction than he was in.

*BOOM*

Just when he was hesitating, he heard a loud explosive noise from that direction. He couldn't see anything but a cliff in that direction. It could be from below the cliff.

As halted for a moment and kept on thinking. Ever since he appeared in this pocket dimension, things appeared weird.

The weird energy, the odd creatures. The distance between competitors is also a bit too high. He also hasn't seen many signals in the surrounding areas.

Those two flag signals sent by the two fire users also didn't attract many people.

As he was thinking...

*SWOOSH*

All of a sudden, the Skeletal dog that he just ignored a few minutes ago, suddenly emerged out of the ground. Its maw wide open and aimed straight at Sam's throat.

Sam dodged the attack with a hard turn. The harbinger created a sharp wind blade. The wind blade hit the dog, but it didn't cut throw.

The bones are too strong and it barely left a crack in the skull and the dog was thrown a couple of feet away.

Sam stowed the harbinger away and got onto the ground.

The dog dashed at him. He jumped towards it, aiming to meet it with an axe kick on top of its head.

Just before the kick landed,

*SWOOSH*

The dog dug through the earth and disappeared. Digging might even be a wrong word to use.

It just bore through the ground, making Sam almost fall into that large hole it left behind.

He was glad that he controlled himself.

Because right when he stopped the hole closed up with a sharp bang.

He landed on the ground, when the ground opened up behind him, with the dog coming at his

head.

Sam activated metal fusion, his head turned into solid metal. He kicked the ground and charged into the oncoming head.

*BANG*

The teeth of the dog broke first, before the fracture spread to the rest of its head.

The dog stopped its advance.

The broken teeth floated towards the dog as they slowly merged back to the body.During that process, the Dog is stationary.

Sam waited there, to test something. The dog's teeth merged back and the fracture

disappeared.

It shook its head and was about to come at Sam. But Sam beat him to it.

He activated metal fusion and started beating the crap out of it. The cracks appeared, similarly just like before. The broken teeth however, this time merged a lot faster and the dog

is not as stationary as before. He also saw through his energy vision that the energy around

the dog has increased.

It is a lot higher and denser than before.

On top of that, it is about to change color.

That white color now had a tinge of red and it kept on turning darker every second.

He also noticed that the death energy in the surroundings is increasing.

By the time the skeletal dog became complete, he felt a second presence in the surroundings.

*RUMBLE*

The ground underneath him trembled a bit. He jumped away from there. A second skeletal dog appeared from within and it tried to bit him like the first one. This one has a complete

white glow, while the first one has a complete red glow.

When both dogs attacked, he could clearly see the difference in their strengths.

The first one is a lot faster, stronger and lot more lethal.

*BOOM**BAM*

When he attacked, the second one was a lot easier to break compared to the first one.

Sam had a bad premonition.

"FUCKING HELL. GET LOST ALREADY."

All of a sudden, he heard a scream from the direction of the cliff. Two people, a human man

and an elf woman just flew up and are moving towards him. Behind them Two minotaur

undead skeletons just climbed up the cliff.

Both of them held weapons.

*BAM* *BAM*

They climbed up really fast and swung their weapons at the two people. The man used a sword while the woman used a spear. The impact of the weapons... that left behind craters.

This explained the whole scenario that has seen.

Through his energy vision, he could see the energy of those two skeletons.

One minotaur has red colored energy while the other one had light red.

The two competitors were surprised when they saw Sam who is dancing around with the two

skeletal dogs.

"Shit."

The woman cursed.

Their eyes locked and both of them exhibited the same feeling. Feeling of wariness.

Sam doesn't want the two minotaurs to come at him. Neither does she want to deal with these

additional dogs.

Sam turned and launched two attacks.

One of them broke the spine of the first dog and the second broke the head.

Both of the dogs slowed down and he immediately ran in the original direction he was

travelling. The elf woman also made a decisive move and broke one of the minotaurs that was

after her.

He went straight ahead. The swordsman gritted his teeth and broke the minotaur before he

went in the direction from which Sam came.

The skeletons are regenerating at a rapid pace.

After travelling a certain distance, Sam increased his altitude to the maximum and kept a clear

view in all directions, before halting to think.

From what he understood, these creatures are strong and truly undead. No matter how many times they are broken, they will regenerate without fail.

Every iteration increases their regeneration speed and energy. When the energy is dense enough it changed color, when color changed a new creature has been added.

Judging from what he observed, fighting them would only increase the number of enemies.

However, not fighting them is not exactly ideal either. Even without attacks, the skeletons are

still increasing in their energy capacity.

They will still multiply.

The only thing he didn't understand was the possible location of these skeletons or other

creatures.

There is no pattern. The only common element is that, the giant skeleton appeared near Sam. The tree-man appeared in the forest where the red flame guy was originally present. The dog.., that could be from the blue flame guy's location.

Then, the cliff and the minotaur? That could be one of the two. Then, that leaves the second

one.

As he was thinking, he suddenly felt a suffocating feeling around him.

*SWOOSH*

He dodged it by a hair's breath as a skeletal bird came at him.

"I guess, you are that one."
