Dating My Scumbag Ex's Uncle

Chapter 117 - Ostrich

Chapter 117: Ostrich

Before Yan Xin could retort, I turned towards the sun. It’s not that hard to be annoying. Anyone can do it.

I stopped smiling before I turned to Tong Lin. “Cousin Tong Lin, this island is only so big but you can’t find the secret room? You remind me of an ostrich, do you know why?”

Tong Lin was silent, the ‘Cousin Tong Lin’ probably stung.

“Why did Sister Xing say that man resemble an ostrich?” I heard Tan Si whisper to Ah Mang. I turned around and they quickly stood at attention. I smiled and said, “Brother Tan, it’s because ostriches are the dumbest animal in the world!”

“Ah?” Tan Si gasped in disbelief. Ah Mang burst out laughing. Even Brother Jing had to hold in his laughter.

Yan Xin threatened angrily, “Nanxing, you better pray that you’d never fall into my hands or I’ll make sure you’ll pay for this!”

I looked at her and said evenly, “Miss Yan, I have no interaction with you before this but you’ve threatened me multiple times already. Miss Yan, now I’m afraid of meeting the Yan Family because I can just imagine how awful your family must be to have raised someone as low-class as you.”

I could feel Brother Gao Jing’s face change.

Tong Lin roared angrily, “Nanxing, you will pay for your ignorance!”

I looked at him. “I have already paid for my ignorance! In fact, I almost paid with my life! My little uncle is still unconscious. Keeping you alive is already my biggest charity and you dare to threaten me?! Brother Tan, help me slap him twice, my hand hurts!”

“Yes, Sister Xing!” Tan Si rewarded him with 2 slaps. Among my group of 4, I was closest to Tan Si. Blood leaked out from the corner of Tong Lin’s lips.

I asked Yan Xin. “Well, aren’t you going to defend him? Don’t you love him to hell and back? Your life’s greatest wish is to marry him, isn’t it?”

Yan Xin’s expression shifted but she said nothing. She knew it was time to shut her mouth and I was impressed.

I put my shoes back on and someone pushed the wheelchair to me. I pushed the wheelchair forward. “Tong Lin, I shall bring you to see the secret room now! It’ll be a feast for your eyes!” Without even looking, I knew those four eyes were widening.

Before the bamboo house, I turned around to face Tong Lin and Yan Xin. “Surprised? The secret room is actually right here.”

Yan Xin was stunned. “Impossible! We’ve searched this place many times!”

I smiled. “Well, have you searched underground?”

“We’ve hired an expert to inspect the soil, there’s nothing underneath the house.” Yan Xin admitted. Tong Lin looked at me. “Nanxing, when you were here, our people were watching you. The secret room is not here!” They sounded so confident.

Tan Si grumbled under his breath. “How foolish!” Yan Xin and Tong Lin’s expressions changed.

Tan Si hurriedly stood up straight.

I smiled. “Brother Tan, you’re not wrong, they are indeed foolish.”

Tan Si’s face immediately blossomed into a smile.

I slowly raised my right hand and waved it in front of Tong Lin and Yan Xin. “You fail because you don’t have my palm prints. My parents are so much cleverer than you can possibly imagine.”

Yan Xin and Tong Lin stared at me in a daze.

I slowly extended my hand and pressed my palm on the glass of the small house. Then, I moved my wheelchair slightly back.

A series of cracks later, the small bamboo house disappeared. Instead a glass house rose from the ground. The glass house was only half the height of the bamboo height. One had to bend very low to get in.

I knocked on the glass. “Bullet proof glass. It’s very sturdy.” But no one was looking at me because their eyes were fixed on the glass house. Inside the glass house, there were four files of banknotes neatly arranged. Each pile could reach to the ceiling. They were genuine US dollar.

I believed everyone was calculating the amount in their mind.

“Brother Tan, go and grab a few stacks for Miss Yan and Mr. Tong to see, just in case they think we’re tricking them with fake money.” I ordered.

“Okay!” Tan Si answered but then he stopped because the house had no door.

Tan Si looked at me helplessly.

Only then everyone realized the glass house didn’t have a door. Technically it was only a sturdy glass cover shielding a ton of money. You could see it but you couldn’t touch it.
