Chapter 6074, Enrollment
Author: Silavin
On the first day, the world was formed with greenery ever present.
On the start of the second day, the world created was connected to the outside world, with masses moving in and the construction beginning, with two of the Space Arrays being made by Yang Ji and Yang Xu.
On the third day, Arrays experts moved. Those proficient in the Dao of Space had set off to other Universe Worlds, and even Yang Ji and Yang Xu were deployed (with Su Yan overseeing them of course).
On the fourth day, the children started to work as well. The Young Masters like Yang Hao and Yang Zhi Rao, who were more in tune with martial cultivation, would work hard on construction and the Young Mistresses, if they had certain inclination to Artifact Refining or Array Formations, would help out with those various aspects. Naturally, Yang Kai would take turns with them and accompany them while they worked. Truly being a Father on rotation.
On the fifth day, centres for enrollment and hiring would be set up in the various Universe Worlds. Naturally, these were to be manned by High Heaven Palace Disciples. Teachers from all walks of life would be welcomed, though the stringent tests that High Heaven Academy put up for them were not few, with many having to later travel to High Heaven Palace for the final vetting.
On the sixth day, they started designing and weaving the school uniforms. All children took part in this, except for Yang Ji and Yang Xu since they were away. The design for the boys was simple, a white robe with blue highlights with the words High Heaven Academy behind, placed vertically (凌霄院). The boys just gave a nod and said that the design was good and moved on, even Yang Kai gave his approval with relative ease. However, the females were broken up into camps regarding their uniform. Some wanted it to be mostly blue, some wanted it to be a one piece dress, some wanted it to have a floral pattern…
The battle was just as intense as any other, with his Daughters pointing and pouting if rejected, with their Mothers approving and disapproving designs. They had to cycle through about a hundred different designs, with the final decision laying with Yang Kai…
If he could, Yang Kai would rather they make the decision themselves, since he was hardly interested in clothing. Still, it took the whole day, and through all the designs, they settled on a two piece uniform robe with blue highlights, with the skirt being blue, and even adding a phoenix pattern for the girls, with the same vertical (凌霄院) on the back.
However, to make it matching to the too simplified male uniforms, they made the boys’ pants blue as well, and had a dragon pattern sewn into it.
As expected, the boys readily agreed, just wanting to get this over with and so, the tough sixth day had passed.
On the seventh day, plants, animals and Monster Beasts were brought in. Monster Beasts would be allocated an entire mountain range, sealed within an already prepared Array Formation to separate them from the children. They were meant for the Dao of Beast Taming. As for the more ordinary animals, they were spread around the fields and lakes, just kept out of construction zones. The plants brought in were all different, some rare others common. They were here to mainly educate the children about the different types of plants. Naturally, anything dangerous would be planted in a different location.
…
Each day, there was always something different being established or brought in. Each day, High Heaven Academy was gradually coming into shape. Eventually, an entire month was over and the grand opening took place, with all the students, their parents and teachers invited.
It did not matter if they were cultivators or not, all were welcomed. Even teachers, with heads full of white at seventy years old, were invited. Maybe, from where they had been, the journey here to the campus itself seemed so mystical that they could hardly believe their eyes.
So, there was a wide array of expressions, from those that were used to such sights and those who found it to be miraculous. Regardless of their background or upbringing, High Heaven Academy had exceeded all expectations as there was one common expression filling their eyes, which was great astonishment.
Even those that lived a life of luxury since birth would have never seen the sight of land plagued by Demonic Energy or Monster Energy so close to their dwelling place, yet completely isolated. What more, an actual World Tree clone just for one Secret Realm…
Also, regardless of their cultivation realm, be it parents or children, unless they were in the Emperor Realm or above, they would all be suppressed to be no different to ordinary mortals here. Their Qis could not be mobilised unless in specific areas of the school. So, even cultivators were surprised by this place.
On this day, all were gathered in the Grand Hall of the school, which did not pale in comparison to High Heaven Palace’s own Main Hall. It was so massive that millions easily fit in it with more space available. Still, the thing that attracted everyone’s eyes was not the setting but the person hosting, the eternal hero, now Principal of this great school, Yang Kai!
His presence, appearance and demeanour, like the lord ruling Heaven, bore down on the onlookers as they could feel their hearts beat at his every word. This was despite his words being gentle, saying a speech that was not even prepared by him, but by Xue Yue…
“I would like to express my gratitude to all guardians who have entrusted their children to us. Through the next few years, all your children will be staying with us, but rest assured, we will take care of them like our own. The parting will not be eternal, as they will be able to return with you twice a year for two months in total without cost so, all can be rest assured.”
Yang Kai waved his hand and a screen appeared, showcasing images of the dormitories the students would be staying in, and the meals they would eat. He then explained how the children would live each day, and how the classes had been structured.
For cultivators, the current classes were made based mainly on the Dao they pursued, and split up further according to their cultivation realm. So, there was only one class for those that pursued the Dao of Space, due to the low number of students, but multiple classes for those that pursued the Dao of the Sword, split according to each student’s cultivation realm.
For mortals, their classes were split mainly based on their current education level and then age. For example, those illiterate would be grouped and then further split up based on year. They would also have a chance at cultivating, all materials given would be equal, regardless of talent. If they managed to become cultivators before the year ends, then they would be moved to classes for cultivators. If not, they could try again next year. However, the priority for their education would still be things that would be helping for their mortal lives.
Naturally, for each student, before they officially enrolled, they had been tested prior. So, such allocations were made possible.
Currently, in the Grand Hall, the students were all already seated in their respective class, with their overall teacher in charge seated just in front of them, and the parents arranged to seat behind the students.
At this point, while Yang Kai was talking about the class allocation, many parents and students looked to their left and right, seeing how the children had been arranged. There were certain classes that were smaller than the others, but in most cases, it did seem like the number of mortal students was higher than the number of cultivator students.
This was natural. After all, High Heaven Academy provided mortal students with far more benefits than the cultivator students, who most likely hailed from relatively well-to-do Families. Therefore, many cultivators chose not to send their children to High Heaven Academy.
Nevertheless, Yang Kai and High Heaven Palace’s fame was not to be underestimated. After all, Yang Ji and Yang Xu could sense quite formidable auras amongst the students here. There naturally were also those from the 36 Cave Heavens and 72 Paradises, whose auras stood out amongst their fellow classmates.
Nevertheless, Yang Ji and Yang Xu still stood out amongst everyone. Even within their class of twenty students, which had been modified to teach both the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time, due to the limited number of students who could comprehend the Dao of Time, they could see familiar faces from the Phoenix Clan and Dragon Clan. However, due to the purity of their Bloodline, the other children felt a sense of oppression whenever they looked at the Twins.
The most interesting thing yet, since they were in a combined class, they had two form teachers. One was Uncle Li Wu Yi, and the other was Uncle Xu Yi, who was Yang Kai’s Third Disciple.
“Brother, is it me, or are people staring at us?” Yang Xu could not help but ask, sensing stares from a lot of parents.
Silavin: Though I wanted to go into detail of what each child does with Yang Kai, I think it would be too much seeing how there is only one chapter a week. I also wanted to start the school arc sooner.
