Chapter 3824: Can’t Follow Anymore

Rean and Kentucky flew at top speed for a few hours, ultimately reaching a nearby planet. There, Rean quickly set up a concealing formation, making it impossible for Divine Senses to detect them. Only then did Rean let go of his Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill.

"It was way closer than I would like it to be..." Rean sighed, now feeling more relaxed. "I didn’t expect the Light Idiots to answer so fast to the opening of the Spatial Gate. We were really lucky that the guys who appeared were not Celestial Realm Experts."

A few minutes later, Roan came out, looking outside and noticing a demon beast flying by quite far away. That was one of the Space-Time Realm Experts released by Plinio to search the area. "The important part is that we are okay. Make sure to leave a drop of your blood in this concealing formation. If things go south, we can get you to reform your body in this place later. I’ll do the same."

It was then that the system’s voice appeared again.

[Key accepted. Hosts will be able to enter the closed area of the Main Core.]

Rean and Roan looked at each other. "So the key our System created did end up being useful, uh?"

"Sister Orb, where is the Main Core located?" Kentucky asked.

[We are somewhat far away still. If Kentucky flies at full speed, he will take at least five months to get there.]

Thanks to the acquisition of the corrupted system shard, Sister Orb could use it to find the right direction. In fact, their own system could already communicate with it to the point where the key was used. Of course, it was one thing that their system could connect to the corrupted one. It would be another to get there.

The twins’ group did not move for the following months. Now and then, they saw one or another expert patrolling this area, all of them Plinio’s subordinates. One of them even flew quite close to the concealing formation, passing just a few kilometers away from it.

But, at some point, those scouts began to reduce in numbers. The twins’ group still didn’t move, even when there were no signs anymore. Why risk it, right? They might as well spend a year or two inside the concealing formation, just in case. They had the time.

Finally, Rean and Kentucky decided to leave after Rean and Roan left their blood on that planet. The location of the Main Core was a few months away, and without a Spatial Gate, Rean and Kentucky would not cover the one light-year distance in that time. So, if Rean or Roan’s body was destroyed, they would be reformed on that planet.

Activating his Light and Divine Sense Bending, Rean covered himself and Kentucky with it and the two departed from that planet. Roan also stayed outside with them this time, just in case they needed to suddenly fight.

Using Sister Orb to detect the presence of formations, the twins’ group flew after the Main Core. It was like Sister Orb mentioned. Kentucky had to fly through the void for over five months to finally reach that place.

At first, there was only a red dot in the distance. But little by little, that red dot’s size increased, ultimately becoming something quite overwhelming. In front of them, there was a place that looked somewhat like a black hole, but completely red. It was enormous, probably extending tens of thousands of kilometers.

’Is the Corrupted System’s Core inside, Sister Orb?’ Rean asked, a little concerned. That didn’t seem the kind of place you would approach on purpose.

[Yes, there is no doubt. It is inside that place. However, there is some kind of energy barrier around, and it is not due to a formation. It is something else.]

’Kentucky, fly ahead,’ Roan ordered.

’Uh?’ which Kentucky found strange. ’But what about the barrier?’

’Just go!’ Roan didn’t explain.

Kentucky sighed but did as asked. He flew slowly, trying to see if the proximity to this place would cause any repercussions to his body. Yet, there was nothing. Other than the very intense red light coming from ahead, everything looked harmless.

However...

*Su, su, su, su, su, su...*

Out of nowhere, thousands of blue flowers began to materialize around the twins’ group, much to their surprise.

At the same time, Rean’s Divine Sense Bending, which wasn’t picking up any Divine Sense until that point, was hit by one. The Divine Sense was so close and strong that it easily tore through the bending power, revealing Rean, Roan, and Kentucky’s presence.

"You sure know how to make me wait!" The old woman, Rokerfa, spoke as she appeared.

Rean immediately cancelled his Light and Divine Sense Bending Skill as there was no use for them anymore. Instead, the twins took out their Elemental Intent Weapons, ready to fight. "Kentucky, full speed ahead!"

Kentucky bit the bullet and focused his entire power on his movement. Bloodline, Sky Energy, Elements, Space and Time Power, you name it. Kentucky shot in the Red Blackhole’s direction without a second thought.

"Hmph!" Rokerfa wouldn’t just let them go, of course. She controlled the blue flowers, which blocked the twins’ path. She could now see and feel their cultivations, and she knew they were only in the Space-Time Realm. Yet, she didn’t hold back there. After all, one of these guys might be the same one who escaped Kunprio back then.

The twins and Kentucky felt the blue energy of those flowers entering their bodies instead of hitting them from outside. It was powerful. Rean, Roan, and Kentucky had never felt it before. The blue energy of the flowers seemed to disintegrate their cells from within, causing heavy damage in a short period of time.

Even though they couldn’t understand what that blue energy was, they knew it was a type of Domain. So, they countered it with their own.

Rokerfa snorted when she saw those three Domains spreading. "Do you think it is this easy?"

Her hands moved as several seals were drawn in midspace. The blue flowers then changed, and torns appeared all over the petals. The blue energy ferocity seemed to increase several times, and so did the number of flowers.

*cough, cough...*

Rean, Roan, and Kentucky began to cough up blood, which had a blue coloration. Even Rean’s Instant Recovery didn’t seem capable of making up for the damage they were receiving. His purification skill was of no use either. It wasn’t a poison, but something more profound.

’She is using Celestial Laws!’

Yes, they were certain now. The woman wasn’t a Celestial Realm Expert, but definitely a Semi-Celestial. She seemed to not care about losing her comprehension of the laws as those Celestial Laws spread together with the blue flowers’ energy.

Even Rean and Roan’s Domains, which worked against enemy domains, were having a hard time fending them off due to the difference in strength. Roan’s Domain was corroding the woman’s domain somewhat. Rean’s Domain was nullifying the woman’s domain’s effect a tiny bit, but it was just not enough.

"Go! Kentucky!" Yet, they didn’t stop! In fact, they asked Kentucky to fly even faster, passing through the countless blue flowers and ignoring the damage.

Rokerfa looked at that and was quite surprised. She didn’t expect Space-Time Realm Experts to resist her domain for so long. Yet, she mocked their actions and didn’t even move. "Idiots. There is no way forward for you anymore."

Suddenly, a Red Barrier formed right in front of the twins’ group, which Rokerfa already knew to exist. That was the Corrupted System’s self-protection mechanism. Almost no one could enter that place, including herself. The only one who could barely force his way in was Kunprio, the Universe Owner, but he wasn’t here now.

But then...

*Zup!*

Just as the twins’ group was about to smash against that Red Barrier, a gap appeared out of nowhere! The twins’ group passed through it as if they knew it was going to happen, disappearing inside!

"What?!" Rokerfa’s eyes opened wide. "Impossible!" She quickly followed after seeing that.

Too late, though. The twins’ group already went through the Red Barrier, and the opening closed. Rokerfa couldn’t go after the twins anymore! "Not good! I have to call Kunprio!"
