Zhao Yinghu hadn't planned on showing his face. Such a trivial matter didn't require Lord Hu to make a personal appearance, but now…
What a bunch of useless trash!
Since he had been called out, Zhao Yinghu simply stood up, looking down on Chen Yang from his superior position. Chen Yang stared right back at him, their eyes locking.
Many in the restaurant instantly recognized the newcomer as the infamous Lord Hu. Immediately, all eyes turned to Chen Yang and Zhou Yufei, filled with a mixture of sympathy and pity. Who could possibly cross Lord Hu and come out unscathed?
Chen Yang clearly felt the fury and murderous intent in Zhao Yinghu's eyes, but he didn't look away. Instead, he bared his teeth in a smile. "So it was you, you old bastard, pulling the strings behind the scenes?"
"Heh heh!" Zhao Yinghu extended his right hand. A lackey immediately handed him a cigarette and respectfully lit it for him. He chuckled, "Kid, do you know who you're talking to?"
Exhaling a puff of smoke, he rested his hands on the railing and narrowed his eyes. "Seems you're from out of town, huh?"
His dominant aura made the atmosphere in the restaurant increasingly oppressive.
Chen Yang didn't recognize him, but Zhou Yufei stood up at once. She cast a wary glance at Zhao Yinghu, then hurriedly pulled Chen Yang aside and whispered, "He's Lord Hu. His influence is enormous. You can't afford to provoke him." Her words were brief and to the point.
"Pah!" Chen Yang spat fiercely. "So he's just an old hoodlum!"
Zhou Yufei was speechless. So was Zhao Yinghu. In fact, so was everyone else present.
It's one thing to be disrespectful when you don't know who you're talking to, but to double down after finding out his identity? Is this guy out of his mind?
"Haha!" Zhao Yinghu's anger turned into laughter. "Kid, you've got guts!"
"Lord Hu, it's been a while," Zhou Yufei said, shooting a harsh glare at Chen Yang. She then picked up a glass of wine and smiled at Zhao Yinghu. "Lord Hu, my friend here is a little… you know. I hope you won't take offense."
Zhao Yinghu smiled but said nothing, simply watching her quietly.
"Lord Hu, a toast to you!" Zhou Yufei raised her glass. "And another!" She downed three glasses in a row.
Zhao Yinghu clapped, a sardonic smile playing on his lips. "I seem to recall Miss Zhou saying more than once that she doesn't drink. What's the special occasion today? Willing to down three glasses straight for a pretty boy? Or is it that I, Zhao Yinghu, am not worthy of your attention?"
His words were pointed and logical.
"Whether she wants to drink with you or not is her freedom! What business is it of yours, you old bastard?" Chen Yang retorted.
The other patrons' eyelids twitched, and a chill ran down their spines. What a reckless, clueless young man. That wasn't just some street punk; that was Lord Hu himself! To be so audacious in his presence… wasn't that just courting death?
"Chen Yang, shut up!" Zhou Yufei snapped, turning on him furiously. "You may be a skilled fighter, but these people are not to be trifled with! Stay here, don't move, and don't say another word!"
Chen Yang fell silent.
"Lord Hu, I..." A seductive smile appeared on Zhou Yufei's face. However, before she could continue, Zhao Yinghu cut her off coldly. "Shut up! Get out of my sight! As for you, I'll have a nice long chat with you later!"
As he finished, the corners of Zhao Yinghu's mouth curled into a sinister smile.
Zhou Yufei trembled, her face ghastly pale. She bit her lip, knowing exactly what he meant.
"Kid, get on your knees, cut off one of your arms, and I'll let this matter slide," Zhao Yinghu said, taking a drag from his cigarette. The faint smoke drifted from his lips, lending him the air of a man in power.
A series of sharp intakes of breath could be heard throughout the restaurant. Demanding an arm just like that? As expected of Lord Hu, his methods were ruthless!
Zhou Yufei was overcome with anxiety and about to plead, but she was interrupted by a sudden "WHOOSH," followed by a fierce gust of wind that sent a lock of her black hair flying.
In her vision, a figure leaped like an ape, closing the distance to Zhao Yinghu in just a few bounds. Who else could it be but Chen Yang?
Zhao Yinghu's pupils contracted violently. Before he could react, a hand grabbed his shoulder, lifted him up, and hurled him down to the first floor.
BANG!
He first smashed through a table before rolling to a stop at Zhou Yufei's feet.
Silence. The entire restaurant became deathly still.
That was Lord Hu, tossed down like a dog?
Gulp. Every single person swallowed hard, their eyes wide and mouths agape. Just who was this man?
"And you, an old thug like you, were trying to act like a big shot in front of me?" Chen Yang asked as he walked over slowly. He took a moment to send a text to Yang Hu before glancing down at the man on the floor with a cold sneer.
"Cough, cough." Zhao Yinghu was completely dazed, his body consumed by an indescribable pain. He struggled for a moment before barely managing to get back on his feet.
"You… you just wait! You're dead!" Zhao Yinghu wiped the blood from his face, staring venomously at Chen Yang, his tone icy.
BANG!
Chen Yang's fist hammered down, and Zhao Yinghu's knees slammed hard onto the ground.
The crowd was speechless. So brutal! Looking around, everyone's facial muscles were twitching. You wouldn't even beat a dog like that!
Liu Jie, who had hoped to redeem himself, dropped back to the floor, his hands covering his head and his face pressed against the ground, not daring to make a single move.
Upstairs, Zhao Yinghu's underlings snapped out of their horror and hurriedly took out their phones to call for backup. How dare someone lay a hand on Lord Hu?
Despite being beaten repeatedly, Zhao Yinghu showed no fear of Chen Yang. He lifted his head again, his face contorted with savagery. "I told you! You can't possibly imagine the extent of my power!"
"Is that so?" Chen Yang squatted down, their faces barely a foot apart. He smiled placidly. "And what if that thing you're so proud of suddenly ceased to exist?"
"Hahaha!" Zhao Yinghu threw his head back and laughed, scoffing, "Who do you think you are? Even the Heavenly King himself would have to bow before me, Lord Hu!"
Chen Yang glanced at the time and smiled without saying a word.
Seeing his silence, Zhao Yinghu assumed he was scared. He started to get up, declaring, "It's not just you today. Zhou Yufei will suffer a fate worse than death! And this restaurant will cease to exist."
Hearing this, Zhou Yufei staggered back a few steps and collapsed onto a sofa. It's over. It's all over now!
RING RING RING.
A shrill ringtone sounded from Zhao Yinghu's pocket.
With a savage grin, Zhao Yinghu pulled out his phone. His bloodshot eyes were fixed on Chen Yang, his expression bloodthirsty. "Hello? This is Zhao Yinghu."
"L-Lord Hu! We have a problem! Our headquarters… it's… it's been surrounded by a group of people!"
