She erupted with flames, pushing the sun drake just a bit back… but that might've been the worst thing she could've done.

The sun drake absorbed the fire and was now ten times stronger than before.

"Ugh… I knew you would be here," A charming and beautiful voice suddenly came from behind me.

"Lucy~ You're finally here!" I announced and when I went to turn and hug my pretty and adorable girlfriend, I noticed she was fuming with rage.

Guess I'll sit this out for a bit…

(Lucy POV)

"How dare you show your face again," I muttered, gritting my teeth so hard you could hear them rubbing against each other.

Amanda unsummoned her sun drake and let me slowly approach the woman who was flustered as hell.

"Who… are you again?" She asks before whipping out a sword covered in flames and stabbing at me with a dirty angle.

TING

The blade collided with my body, tearing through the illusion and revealing my current evolution which was now enveloped in white bloodlust.

Frost slowly ate away at not only the flame but the blade itself, eventually causing it to crumble into frosty bits of ash which were blown away with the sweet Texas air.

"You're not escaping," I muttered before grabbing her wrist whilst she was trying to escape with all her might.

Her terrified face wasn't really satisfying and in fact made me more mad than happy… as she had completely done a 180.

"How did somebody like you capture my mom," I clicked my tongue before ripping her arm out of its socket and letting her dash away for a few meters.

Krkkkkk

Then snapped my fingers, creating two pillars of ice that trapped her in place and as I walked closer, her eyes widened.

"Ah… you're that pitiful little girl… aren't you?" She smirks with no remorse and not even an ounce of the need to beg.

"Kukukukuku… HAHAHAHAHA! SERIOUSLY! I REALLY HATE YOU!" I shouted before breaking all four of her limbs, causing her to scream in pain… but she continued to laugh maniacally.

She gave me no room for satisfaction but I was long past that point and just wanted to see her scream each time I broke a bone, snapped a tendon, gouged out an eye, or pierced a muscle… I wanted to see all of it.

Eventually, she lay limp in my hands… in an unclimactic ending to something that I never knew I would have the chance to finish.

"HUFF… HUFF…"

"Oh wow, very nice to see you're doing well," A voice suddenly appeared beside me and the pressure the man emitted was intense.

I felt every bone in my body creak, just by standing next to him.

It was a cringe-ass explanation, but that was the only way I could describe it… suffocating.

A man with black hair and pitch black eyes circled around me before picking up the dead corpse and pulling out a hexagonal teleporter which he instnatly activated… though, I had made a move as soon as he let his guard down.

It wasn't something physical like landing a punch on him… well, not physical towards him.

"You know, this is too complicated to explain," I muttered as Mia and Amanda practically begged to know what I did with the woman's corpse… and isn't it obvious?

I have [Necromancy] and just letting it sit in my status would be a complete waste so I of course revived her corpse but made sure that she wouldn't give off any hint that she had been revived.

I could now control her and spy on the base from far away… but when I linked my eyesight with the skeleton almost as flawless as lifting a finger, I noticed it wasn't a base… but a cave?

There was then an alter with hundreds of people praising this one woman masked by a long white cloth dangling over her face… and then it cut off.

"Tch… He already found out," I muttered after clicking my tongue.

I thought we had reached the pinnacle and surpassed the strongest of humans beside the heroes… but these damn cults are so strong for some reason.

"Why? Why are they so strong?" I asked myself, racking my brain as Mia hugged me from behind.

"Babe… Stop. You're going to overwork yourself again so let's just enjoy our time together," Mia whispered into my ear so I decided to let the thought go for now and store it in my file cabinet like memory.

Mia took me on a nice dinner date that night and came back to cuddle until we fell asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning, I woke up refreshed and immediately laid back on the couch and pulled out the file I had shoved away yesterday.

Why are they so strong? Hmmm… The monsters are possibly giving them something that makes them super strong… There's also the matter of the teleporters…

"Wait… MIA!" I called out to my beautiful girlfriend who was unsurprisingly making breakfast completely naked.

Now that she's more comfortable being naked, she's going a bit over the top and is exposing skin all the damn time.

"Yes!?" Mia shouted back before changing into some clothes and prancing over to me.

"You managed to retrieve one of the teleporters, right?" I asked.

"Ah, yes, but I'm having Amanda take a look at it. She's the one most proficient in technology so just let her do her thing for now," She responded.

"Hmmm… Okay, well, do you have any idea as to why these guys are so strong? I'm sure that guy from before was probably around the strength of the plant brave,"

"Probbaly the monsters. No, it must be the monsters," She replied with a little smirk.

"That was my guess as well… anyway, we should get going now. We have no more business here,"

"Indeed. But, Athena and Ethel are just on a road trip for the next few days, so wait until they get back,"

I audibly groaned.
