The Tathāgata Must Fail

Chapter 486: She Is More Suitable Than Us

"Brother!"

Ao Luan stood at the edge of the Floating Ship, gazing up at the sky; even though they were miles apart, Sun Wukong's figure shone brightly as ever.

However, the Light Sea had already descended upon the surface of the Three Realms.

The earth trembled amidst the glow of flames while cities shook and mountains swayed; a crevice appeared on the ageless land, stretching from south to north as though piercing the skies.

Boundless light mixed with dust and smoke in an explosive eruption, akin to billions of volcanoes errupting at once, creating an intensely terrifying clamor.

The violent explosion raised thick clouds of dust, darkening the sky, and fragments of earth blasted thousands of miles away.

Under the ceaseless onslaught of the Light Sea, the land was severed by the horrifying waves, and a gigantic chunk of earth was propelled outward amidst the intense trembling roar.

People on the land screamed hysterically, their hoarse cries of despair drowned out by the deafening sounds of collapse, vanishing into Chaos.

"The Three Realms are going to be destroyed!"

Countless people watched the land split apart in the Light Sea, feeling a fear that chilled their marrow.

Could no one save them?

No, that's not right; they still had one last hope.

"Heavenly Emperor."

"Heavenly Emperor!"

Countless eyes turned towards Chaos, placing their hope on the Heavenly Emperor.

"Sun Wukong, stop struggling!"

In the Chaos Realm, the Buddha Beads spoke, "The Three Realms are about to be destroyed!"

"I still have a move left!"

Sun Wukong clenched his teeth, his body radiating light, as drops of Essence Blood flew out from him, transforming into countless incarnations in the air.

"This is..."

The Giant's expression changed dramatically at the sight of these incarnations.

These incarnations had a terrifying presence, very similar to his own Incarnation Technique.

"You've stolen my Cultivation Technique!"

The Giant roared in fury.

Sun Wukong didn't reply; his endless incarnations took shape, turning into beams of light rushing towards the Giant.

Each of those incarnations exploded like Heavenly Dao, their destructive shockwaves continuously battering the Giant, sweeping through Chaos; he could no longer withstand it.

The Giant's body started to break apart.

"Die!"

Sun Wukong lifted the sparkling Jingu Bang, then swung it down once more.

All his strength transformed into blazing glory, enveloping the rod and emitting a fearsome aura, more formidable than ever before.

He let out a roar, echoing like primeval bell chimes, its grandeur even surpassing the tide of light.

With a great boom, the Jingu Bang was again met by the Giant's hand but exploded on impact.

Chaos twisted and boiled, the soundwave spreading throughout all worlds, refusing to fade away.

The Giant's massive right hand crumbled within the flames.

"Sun Wukong!"

It howled in rage: "You understand nothing at all."

Sun Wukong increased the force of his grip, pulverizing the Giant's right hand.

In a fit of rage, the Giant's shattered hand shot out endless blood-light, attacking Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong was hit by the blood-light, his chest cracking open as he spat out blood, staggering back two steps.

In that instant, a myriad of ancient worlds' illusions swirled in Sun Wukong's eyes, revealing both feeble and endlessly glorious, honored worlds.

The vastness and expanse of Chaos were beyond his imagination.

Yet, no matter how brilliant a world, it could not escape the doom of destruction.

After bizarre oscillations, the world would end.

Quadrillions of lives passed away, without a trace left behind.

"The Three Realms should accept their predestined fate, just as those worlds have."

The words of the Giant echoed in Sun Wukong's ears.

"You'll never shake my resolve!"

Sun Wukong woke from the illusions, his expression filled with rage as he swung his rod once again.

"The fate of the Three Realms should not be decided by you!"

With a thunderous boom, the Giant's body shattered, its fragments burning brightly in the Chaos Realm like fireworks at a festival, falling toward the Three Realms like sparks.

"Sun Wukong, you may be the most powerful Heavenly Emperor we've ever faced."

Within Chaos, the Giant's Immortal Soul swiftly crumbled.

Yet before it shattered completely, it pierced Sun Wukong's chest with a final blast of blood-light: "But who says that the fate of all living beings should be decided by you!?"

"No."

Blood dripped from Sun Wukong's chest.

"I will let them decide."

He spoke softly, then was swept away by the explosive impact, turning into a stream of light descending into the Three Realms.

In his final vision, he saw the fire consuming the Giant's Immortal Soul, leaving virtually nothing behind.

"I've succeeded."

Sun Wukong slowly closed his eyes.

His battered body, radiant with light, passed through Chaos and descended toward the Three Realms.

In the Three Realms, where the battle raged in the Light Sea, Emperor Qinghua had sacrificed thousands of his incarnations and ultimately survived along with Gouchen.

With the Buddha Beads gone, no one could control the Light Sea any longer.

After tearing the land apart, the Light Sea ceased its advance, the burning glow gradually dimming and scattering in all directions.

"The great calamity has ended."

Emperor Qinghua retracted the broken Nine-Colored Lotus and turned to Gouchen: "Gouchen, are you alright?"

"I'm okay."

Gouchen had lost an eye, but he was still overjoyed looking at the sky: "His Majesty has truly defeated the monster!"

"How could he not be the Heavenly Emperor?"

Emperor Qinghua watched the light falling from Chaos, and just when he was about to welcome it, another light was faster than him.

Seeing that light, Emperor Qinghua pulled Gouchen back, stopping him from taking off.

"What's wrong?"

Gouchen asked.

"She's more suitable than us."

Emperor Qinghua responded.
