Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster

Chapter 616 - Capítulo 616: Last Talk

Capítulo 616: Last Talk

“Kareth, can you stop that planet?” Rael asked straight away.

“I’m exhausted,” Kareth replied with a sigh. “I wouldn’t be able to stop all the debris from destroying the planet.”

Do I really have to… Ugh…

Rael went ahead and bought another potion that could restore a flat HP and MP %, and without wasting a moment, he chucked it at Kareth.

Kareth looked over it for a few moments, then with a cheeky look, he chugged it.

His mana restored itself immediately, and after that, he simply passed Lucien over to Rael.

“Make sure to hold him by the neck. His ability is amplified whenever he speaks,” he added, and then kicked off the air, arriving right in front of the incoming planet. Follow current novels on novel~fire~net

Rael knew what was about to happen, so he just looked away.

Instead, he glanced at Lucien who, although in terrible shape, had eyes of perfect clarity.

“Why aren’t you dead yet?”

Honestly…

“The quicker you die and go back to whatever shit show you came from, the faster I’ll be able to leave this place.”

Even though he didn’t expect an answer, or even a conversation for that matter, Lucien’s voice rang out inside his head.

[You are running on limited time, Rael,] he said. [It won’t take me long to regain the powers I had in my main body. When that happens, you will be left all alone again. Just like in the past.]

“Joke’s on you, I don’t exactly remember the past.” Rael chuckled. “I will soon, but until then, you seem like a pest who’s overly obsessed with me.”

Having said that, Rael let out a sigh.

“You wouldn’t happen to be generous enough to share how you disappear from my fate visions, would you?”

[I’m afraid not,] Lucien replied calmly. [You might find that out once you regain your memories. Though I am curious, you seem to know tidbits about the past, and you’ve also gained Tiamat’s approval. Why don’t you switch sides for once?]

[You’ve already fought for one side for so long. You didn’t even win. You merely stopped us temporarily, and yet here we are, back at full power, while you? You’re not even fit enough to call yourself a shell of your past self.]

“Is this some kind of roast session?” Rael mused. “Honestly, if you were as strong as you claim to be, why didn’t you show up in your main body?”

Lucien didn’t reply.

But he didn’t really need to. Rael knew that there were some kinds of circumstances preventing him from coming here. Maybe they were related to the reason Rael was here without his memories?

Nonetheless, Rael glanced up at the sky, spotting Kareth with his hand extended.

Then, he sent out a pulse of mana.

Even if he only had just 10% of his total mana, that seemed to be enough, as the pulse stopped the planet in place.

But that was not all, as the planet suddenly began to get further and further away from this realm. Within just a few seconds, the planet was out of sight.

Only the distant glow was any indication that the planet had almost hit them.

[Impressive,] Lucien remarked. [I can say I didn’t anticipate some of your moves today.]

“Thanks?”

[…]

Rael glanced at Lucien and noticed that his eyes had turned slightly foggy.

Furthermore, the last of his mana had practically disappeared.

This avatar was dead.

Rather, it was almost dead.

[Your old friends will be paying a visit to you soon…] Lucien’s weak voice resounded, his tone growing colder.

[In case you haven’t figured it out yet, you are an enemy of the Divine Realm. From this moment on, I personally wage war on you and your allies.]

“Likewise,” Rael replied nonchalantly. “I don’t know why you’re trying to make this sound like something completely unexpected. War began the moment Solenne descended on my world.”

After all, she was connected to Lucien.

[I see. Very well then. I will see you again very soon, Rael. Enjoy what little time you have left…]

With those final words, Lucien’s body began to fade, turning into small particles and scattering in the air.

Just in case he used those particles to revive later, Rael made sure to zap them out of the air, making the headache from earlier return.

Except this time around, it was slightly worse.

Rael was forced to glide back down and land just outside the crimson cocoon’s range.

Not even a few seconds later, Kareth descended right beside him.

“Was that Vatyra’s feather?” he asked.

Rael nodded.

“Just in case you’re feeling thankful, I regret using it.”

Kareth raised a brow.

“Naturally. Although I was frozen, I managed to catch a glimpse of the trials. She wasn’t exactly the most fair to you. I am truly surprised you even managed to call her out here.”

Tilting his head, he added, “On that note, do you think you could remove Lucien’s influence from my mind?”

“I have no clue how,” Rael replied.

“You’re an Ancient Mindweaver, aren’t you? I’m pretty sure your race comes equipped with that kind of knowledge,” Kareth said.

Rael rolled his eyes with a slightly irritated look.

“I was a human not too long ago, okay? I bought this race, and that’s about it. I don’t have any knowledge that came with it.”

The most he could do was go into the Mindweaver realm and learn from the others.

Kareth backed down and instead glanced at the giant cocoon.

“Has Vatyra told you how this ritual works?”

“She didn’t. I just assumed they revive after a while, no?”

Kareth shook his head.

“You see… whenever someone uses her feather, Vatyra gets an alert. She then goes on to inspect the person who used it, and if she deems that person suitable, then she allows the revival. If not…”

Taking a deep breath, he continued, “Let’s just say Vatyra and my dear wife didn’t have the best of relationships. In fact, at one point, they tried to kill each other. My wife lost and I saved her in the nick of time. From then on… you can guess the rest.”

Hearing that, Rael glanced at the cocoon and let out a sigh.

Rest in pieces.
